Species: Human

    Gender: Female

    Height: 5'8

    Weight: 135 lbs

    Hair Color: Snow White

    Eye color: Green

    Marks: Left-side face scar

    Tattoos: N/A

Even though she has no immediate blood relation to any Echani, Syrin was born with snowy-white hair, some believe it has something to due with her connection to the force. Despite this people assume her to be an Echani because of her hair, and it annoys her when people ask. Syrin also likes to keep her hair in a very messy bun because it is too long to lay down, but she is also too lazy, and tomboyish, to make her hair look nice and girly.

The scar on the side of Syrin's face was from an accident that occurred during her childhood. In short, Syrin fell and a tree branch scratched that part of her face. If the tree branch was to hit just a little higher, it would have poked Syrin's eye out.

Syrin has an average / slightly tan complexion, green eyes, a fairly pointed nose, brown eyebrows, and full lips.

Syrin likes to travel light. Her usual outfit consists of a pair of black cloth pants, an oversized, beige dress shirt with leather gloves, leather boots, and light leather armor covering her waist and stomach region. She carries a small pouch on her left-side waist that contains a few essential items such as water, money, and etc. Syrin also has different outfits that she wears on occasion:
This outfit is relatively the same as Syrin's usual outfit. The biggest difference is the color of the shirt and the addition of a hood. The style, material, leather add-ons, and pouch are all the same. The hood itself is made from a torn Jedi robe that Syrin was able to sew into a hood.
    FkP2aaU.jpg
This outfit is much more different than the previous two, Syrin usually wears this for more dangerous missions. The outfit consists of a cropped, long sleeve, red cloth shirt with a beige cropped shirt underneath, black leather pants, black leather boots, a durasteel shoulder guard and a chainmail breastplate, leather gloves, and durasteel knee guards.
    5Ws9gpi.jpg
Although she has a kind heart, Syrin has a bad case of resting bitch face. The face tends to get her into a lot of trouble with strangers when she doesn't mean to give them a rude look.

At 5'8 Syrin stands a bit taller than the average girl. She has a slim-thick build and is somewhat toned.

    Homeworld: Serenno

    Age: 17

    Faction: Independent

    Rank: Traveler

    Level: 1

    Ancestor: Racaiya Wylddun

Syrin was born as an only child to a middle-class family on Serenno. Syrin's father, Martom Voss, was a fairly successful merchant, and her mother, Norril Voss (Maiden name Lathbri), was a seamstress. Syrin was quite the trouble maker during her early childhood; She was very tomboyish and preferred running around and horseplaying with the boys rather than learning to be a sophisticated lady.

Syrin and her family lived in a relatively rural area of Serenno. This gave Syrin the freedom to have an adventurous childhood. She would spend most of her time playing games, such as hide and seek, in the wilderness. Syrin and her friends would also tend to cause trouble for everyone in the area, by pranking neighbors or occasionally stealing from nearby farms. Syrin's parents punished her daily but they still loved their daughter nonetheless. They always wondered what Syrin would do for a living once she got older, but they hoped she wouldn't become one of those people.

One day, Syrin, who was now nine years old, and her friends decided to go deep into the mountainside to play hide and seek. To decide who would be seeking, the group drew sticks and whoever picked the shortest stick would be the seeker. Syrin was fortunate, yes fortunate, enough to become a seeker. Her friends let out a painful sigh, knowing that Syrin was always the best when it came to hide and seek. When the game started, Syrin found her friends with relative ease. The last friend, a boy, was cornered to a cliffside. The boy decided to give up, but all of a sudden the mountain began to shake. Tremors rarely occurred on Serenno, but when they did they were troublesome. The timing could not have been any worse, the rock formation beneath the group of friends began to crumble. Most of the group were able to make it to safety, but Syrin and the boy were not as lucky. They both fell down to their eventual doom. However, Syrin was able to catch onto a tree root sticking out of the mountainside. When she grabbed it, a sub-root scratched the left side of her face creating a huge cut. After she latched onto the root, she instinctively looked behind herself and caught the boy using the force. However, there was nothing else Syrin could do but hold onto the root and the boy. Their fate seemed inevitable, Syrin would eventually grow tired and let go. An hour or so later, a ship pulled up below the boy; Syrin let go of the boy letting him fall onto the ship. The ship would then pick up Syrin.

The ship was piloted by a Serenno rescue team, and the two kids were brought back to their homes. However, the rescue team had a particularly long talk with Syrin's parents. After a few hours, Syrin's parents entered her room and began packing up her stuff, and they seemed to fear something. When Syrin asked what was going on, her parents merely told her that she was going to be living with her grandmother from now on. Later that night, there was a knock at the door. Syrin didn't know anything about her grandmother, but she seemed strange. The lady wore oversized black robes, and she didn't look that old, at most the lady was in her mid 50's. The old lady took Syrin with her and eventually brought her to Dromund Kaas.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Syrin would spend 7 years of her life on Dromund Kaas, training in the ways of the force. During her time, Syrin learned a lot about her family history. According to her grandmother, Syrin's family has had a long line of force users, but even her grandmother was unsure of where the lineage started. However, the grandmother was able to trace the lineage far enough to a name: "Wylddun". Dromund Kaas was a very dangerous place, and Syrin was usually given an extremely difficult task to achieve. Syrin was only equipped with basic necessities, and duel Tonfas. Most of the tasks including hunting down dangerous creatures, or exploring ruins. The only instructions that Syrin ever received were to use the force to obliterate everything that prevented her from completing her goals. This mindset led Syrin to be more in tune with the destructive side of the force. Syrin even dabbled in slightly strange force abilities such as Force Bellow, Aerokinesis, Force Fire, but she can hardly use them nor are they near the level to serve any purpose. For example, most Syrin can do with force fire is create a tiny little ember. With Aerokinesis, Syrin can create a small breeze as if someone was using a handheld fan. Syrin learned the concept of most of these abilities by attempting to cipher markings on temple walls, but she'll never progress far without guidance.

Syrin was always rather curious about why her grandmother would never train her. Syrin was only taught basic information, and she usually had to learn through experience. Syrin received her first task at the age of ten, and it was to kill a Yozusks. Yozusks were very dangerous creatures, and Syrin nearly died during the task but she managed to take the beast down. Other than that, Syrin grew stronger in the force by exploring ruins, sometimes she would learn a new force power altogether. She was adept with the Darkside unknowingly, so Syrin still maintained a virtuous heart.

One day, Syrin was given the task to explore an abandoned sanctuary and return any artifacts she found. Syrin despised these types of tasks, she had more fun hunting down monsters. As Syrin was exploring the sanctuary, she began contemplating her grandmother for the first time. She wondered why, mostly how, her grandmother had been living here, and why she wanted Syrin to find these strange artifacts. The whole situation seemed strange, but never the less Syrin continued with her task. The sanctuary that Syrin was in was different from all the other ones, it seemed even more ancient than usual. There were many markings on the wall as if a story was being told. The story was portraying a war of some sort, and it seemed even more destructive than most recent wars. As she continued exploring, Syrin stumbled upon a large room with a pedestal in the middle. Syrin felt as if the pedal was whispering to her. When she got closer, Syrin noticed a strange item upon the pedestal; it could be identified as a holo-projector but it looked ancient. The item was shrouded in mystery to Syrin's eyes, and being curious she picked up the holo-projector to examine it. However, the sanctuary began to shake the moment the projector was taken from the pedestal. The roof was starting to crumble and collapse and Syrin made her daring escape back through the way she came from. The sun was setting by the time Syrin made it out, so she decided it would be best to set up camp before making the return to her Grandmother's hut. Syrin experimented with the holo-projector the entire night, trying to figure out what it was and how it worked. There were many strange buttons on the projector, but she was finally able to turn it on. When turned on, the projector displayed a figure wearing dark-robes. The figure spoke in a somewhat strange dialect of Galactic Basic, Syrin had trouble understanding a few of the words used. The figure seemed to be a historian of some sort as he was describing battles, technology, discoveries, and etc. Eventually, the historian started discussing the struggle between the Jedi and Sith; and Syrin's interest was finally peaked. The figure mainly talked about Sith teachings, and they were somewhat similar to Syrin's grandmother's teachings. Everything about it seemed strange, so Syrin decided to ask her grandmother about it the next day.

When Syrin returned to her grandmother's dwelling, she handed the projector over and asked her if she knew about the Sith. Her grandmother ignored her questions at first, but Syrin was relentless. The old hag finally had enough with Syrin's questioning and told Syrin to shut her mouth. Syrin was enraged, and for the next few months, her relationship with her grandmother dwindled. Eventually, Syrin informed her grandmother that she was tired of doing meaningless tasks and that she wanted to return to Serenno. The Grandmother was furious and lashed out at Syrin. Syrin isn't the type to accept being yelled out, and she grew angry as well. Their bickering got to the point where Syrin was force choked by her own grandmother. "I could kill you whenever I want. You WILL do as I say." Syrin's grandmother let go of her grip and gave Syrin another job for the next day.

At this point in time, Syrin grew a hatred for her grandmother. The one thing Syrin hated the most was being told what to do, and she would make sure she got her way at all cost. Syrin established a plan to lure her grandmother into a trap, but it would be very difficult to pull off. The next day, Syrin waited outside of their ship until her grandmother arrived. She made her stand, informing her grandmother she will go home no matter what. After another major argument erupted, Syrin was hit by a stream of force lightning, sending her backward. The plan was going somewhat according to plan, the next part would rely on luck; Syrin had to hope that her grandmother would just take a few steps closer in order for the trap to go off. Syrin was in too much pain to listen to her grandmother's speech, and eventually, her grandmother began to approach Syrin. The plan was now fully set in motion, the grandmother setoff a tripwire and two massive logs began to swing down towards her from opposite sides. Naturally, the Grandmother would use the force to stop the two logs, and Syrin used this opening to stand up and force choke her grandmother. Syrin maintained a tight grip on her grandmother's throat, and slowly began to crush her. It was only through Syrin's compassion for her family that she let go of her grandmother when she was near-death. "I'm sorry, grandmother. I didn't want to do this to you, but you told me yourself: obliterate everything that prevents me from completing my goals. I'm leaving you here and I am going to return to Serenno." Syrin's grandmother let out a wicked laugh and slowly passed as her frail body was destroyed by Syrin. Syrin buried her grandmother in the swamps of Dromund Kaas and returned to the hut to bring some items along with her. She didn't take any of the strange artifacts that lied around, but she did check and see what was in the locked box in her grandmother's room. Syrin used the force to open the box forcefully, and inside was a pair of Guard Shotos. Syrin examined the weapons, and she noticed there was an ignition button on the side, but nothing occurred when pressed. She decided to bring the two items along, as they appear to be valuable.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Syrin never piloted a ship before, and she wasn't even sure where she was. The ship was a 5-T Medium Freighter, and luckily it had a navicomputer built-in. Without the computer, Syrin would have been able to find her way off the planet. Syrin set a course for Serenno to return home and inform her parents about her grandmother.

Serenno was just as beautiful as the day Syrin left. Syrin landed in the Serenno spaceport and took a shuttle to the city of Carannia. From there she walked/hiked toward the mountainside where her family had lived. Upon returning to the location, the house she had lived in was gone. Syrin wondered if her parents had moved to another location, so she walked over to another hut where her neighbors had stayed. When the neighbors spotted Syrin outside of their hut, they immediately ran out and hugged her. Syrin was informed her home was destroyed by a rockslide, and it took her parents as well. Syrin was absolutely devastated, and in her sorrow, she journeyed up to the highest mountain in Serenno. There was nothing left for Syrin to do; she no longer had any goals or family. However, Syrin couldn't stomach the idea of taking her own life, so she decided she would travel the galaxy until she finds her own purpose.

Syrin is a good-hearted girl. She loves being around friends and attempts to help everyone she comes across as much as possible. However, she still maintains some aspects of the typical teenage girl.

Syrin can be annoying, disrespectful, and whiny when she is bothered. She hates traveling and her room or ship is usually always a mess. Basically, Syrin can be a brat. She always makes smart-ass remarks, mocks her enemies, and is always looking to cause trouble. Syrin usually does this for a quick laugh; they do say humor is mankind's greatest blessing. Despite her tomboyish personality, Syrin is shy around strangers. However, she does a good job of hiding her shyness, but she comes off as rude or cruel.

She is the complete opposite of her ancestor, Racaiya Wylddun. Also unlike her ancestor, Syrin is not particularly bright. She spent most of her childhood wanting to run around and play rather than studying in school. She would regularly ditch classes to go have fun. So, she is neither academically smart nor does she have wisdom. However, she can be quick-witted during combat.

Unlike most teenage girls, Syrin is very optimistic and out-going. She strives for perfection in all activities, except studying. She is also very confident in her abilities, which can lead her to be arrogant at times.

Syrin has a good track record of telling the truth; She cannot tell a direct lie to save her life. However, this leads her to be quite blunt in a somewhat child-like way. For example, toddlers tend to point towards weird people in stores and say out loud that they are weird; Syrin is the same, but she does not do it intentionally.

(Brief summary will add more depth later)
    Combat overview:

Strength: Syrin has below average strength as it doesn't suit her combat style. Syrin spent a lot of time hunting and exploring so she preferred being more agile.

Agility: As stated before, Syrin prefers to be as agile as possible. It suits her entire combat style from lightsaber combat to basic movement. Syrin is quite the acrobatic and she frequently uses the force to enhance her movement capabilities.

Intelligence: Syrin never received any formal education so she isn't the academically brightest. However, she is well educated in survival skills and just pure combat knowledge. She is quite crafty when it comes to fighting by utilizing random movements and feints to catch opponents off guard. She is also very quick-witted when it comes to logical thinking, though she can easily be led astray by her emotions.

Force Potential: Syrin is more attuned to the dark side of the force, relying on energy manipulation and telekinesis. She struggles greatly when it comes to using force sense and force heal.

Her skills with a lightsaber are equivalent to the average padawan, but she uses dual guard shotos instead of a traditional saber. She practices both forms 3 and 5 as they are the building blocks to using the guard shotos.

    Possessions:

    Guard Shoto (No Crystal)
    5-T Medium Freighter

Can you use some other plot device for the bio instead of a holocron?

Also the biography reads like she's an Independent character instead of a Jedi. It doesn't elaborate on how she joined the Jedi unless I'm missing something? And on that note I'm not really inclined to approve a character that force choked/crushed to kill anyone as a Jedi character. Or anyone that (paraphrase) is good with certain force powers because of their background using the dark side.

And the tech takes me to the home page when I click them. Can you make sure they are linked to their proper write-ups please?

@Faster Than Light Fixed the tech, I forgot to update the links. For how Syrin joined the Jedi, that is my fault and I can change her to independent. I already planned some threads with people so she was going to join the Jedi pretty soon anyways so I figured I could just list her as a Jedi for now. As for the force power, it was mostly due to the fact that she doesn't know what the dark side or light side is, she just merely knows what the force is in general. It is sort of a dilemma because she is a good-natured person, but ignorant of her use in the force; she relies too heavily on emotion. I planned for her to be a Jedi that struggles with dark side tendencies. For the Holocron, I'll see what I change it too, but it seemed like the more direct and commonsensical solution in my eyes.

@Faster Than Light Fixed the force power thing to just say she is more in tune with energy manipulation than other aspects of the force. I kept the Holocron as a part of her bio, however, I made it less important to Syrin's decisions. The Holocron merely pushes the events into motion, and Syrin's later actions and decisions are based on her relationship with her grandmother, not the Holocron. Tech is all updated, and I switched her to independent.

Thank you for making changes. Although I will have to insist the holocron has to be removed. They are rare, with most of them destroyed with the Jedi with only a few remaining (like the ones in the Approve Site Lore section) which would be more valuable and need plot to obtain.

I haven't took a look at the profile again yet, but once everything is addressed I'll do that

@Faster Than Light I removed the Holocron from the bio and just replaced it with the holoprojector. I think that should be fine? The projector still does the exact same thing as before, it's just that it wasn't inside a Holocron.
