Before anyone takes what I'm about to say the wrong way, I really enjoy the Mandalorian and have good fun watching it with my brother. Regarding season 2 specifically, there are parts of it I've enjoyed but I must admit, I'm a little bit frustrated with it. If they're not going to use some of these cameos as part of the actual storyline this season I'd rather they didn't bother with them. Obviously, there's still some time, but honestly if they've literally only put them there for fanservice or YouTube fan theorists, then that's just disappointing and means that entire episodes of the show are just pointless filler. Plus, if they keep centering episodes around his ship crashing or being damaged, that's going to get old very quickly.
It seems to me that Jon and Dave are using this season as essentially a dip-in-toe season. Probably using it to introduce all these new show concepts, and cherry picking the ones with the most popularity. Before anyone takes what I'm about to say the wrong way, I really enjoy the Mandalorian and have good fun watching it with my brother.
