Nashyr couldn't remember the last time she allowed herself a vacation. She worked hard, making sure those that she helped in the Order were safe... doing what little she could to be part of an Order that struggled in the face of adversity. She was bone-tired, but still she kept pushing on. It had been so long, in fact, since she delved into anything beyond light reading or the occasional spar that word began getting around that she had no idea how to relax.
Perhaps it was true. Maybe she had finally lost the ability to enjoy herself, simply because if she did, she would start thinking too much. So many what-ifs kept crowding around if she gave herself a moment's respite, and so she didn't stop. She just kept going, until Max none too gently suggested that she reach out and find somewhere else to be.
When he reached out to her... she almost dropped her commlink. Had it been so long already?
When she heard Oren's voice, she was immediately brought back to the lights ceremony. That one moment when she dropped her guard... and how she regretted not going further since. She was all the more shocked when he suggested they meet in Rishi; she had only ever heard of the planet in passing stories, or of one or two of her girls that saved up enough for some sort of tropical getaway. She was never one for humidity, but...
She just couldn't say no.
So here she was, standing on a beach near a tiny bar, quenching her thirst on some local brand of juice. She wasn't certain if she wanted any alcohol in her system yet or not... but she couldn't deny she was nervous.
As if she had anything to be nervous about! She chided herself, taking another sip, and feeling the new sun slowly warm her bones. Nervousness aside, she felt... good. She had dressed rather modestly, if she could say so herself, in a wide-brimmed straw hat and sunglasses, the swimsuit a gold material that hugged curves, with a sheer gold sarong and sandals to match. Her hair, once kept in a medium wavy bob, had been grown out past her shoulders, some strands braided and capped in gold.
She was told to meet here; off in the jungle, her Quad-Five was parked and locked for safety's sake, but just a few kilometers away the Smuggler's Cove was bursting with activity. She was told to meet here... but she wasn't certain for how long. She leaned back against a palm tree and sighed, closing her eyes to listen to the surf.
