"Ah," Katarn nodded. "The art of manipulating minds. I've heard several descriptions of how this is done, but my personal favorite is to simply lean on the mind until it tells you what you need to know, or explodes."
"True," agreed Albedo. He paused. "If you don't mind, I think I'll try it on a few of the acolyte's here. It'll be amusing if they fail to block the infiltration of a beginner."
"That's what slave are for dear boy," Katarn smiled and clapped her hands twice. 2 slaves entered the room and stood before them. "Don't be afraid to kill them, we get them by the shipfull. Just clap your hands if you want more slaves."
"I see," said Albedo.
Personally, Albedo wasn't much of a fan of slavery since if the Sith want a stable society under their control, they need to commit less acts that would motivate the people to revolt.
"Now then, let's see if our first tester will tell us his name,"
"Die, Sith scum!" spat the human male.
"Interesting, I guess this'll work out well."
Albedo infiltrated the man's mind. It took some work to break through the man's will but once that was accomplished, the man's secrets were open to him. Albedo skimmed through the man's thoughts.
"Let's see... his name is Kol Pavan," read Albedo. "He was born on Naboo, though his Courasanti accent betrays that he's lived most of his life on Courasant. And also... ah, Katarn, apparently this man overheard an apprentice planning on attacking you tomorrow after dinner in order to please his master. I'm afraid he doesn't know specifics nor the perpetrators' identities."
OCC: Just an NPC apprentice, not some conspiracy into other people's characters. Whether you use this conspiracy as apart of Albedo's training is up to you.
((sith ain't here yet, we're the bogan. and we can go through with the conspiracy if you want, it means we'd need to rp dinner though.))
Katarn nodded. "Probably Kel ****ing with me again, he likes to do that. Good, now are you ready to move on to another slave?" She asked, unfased by the threat on her life.
Albedo turned to the other slave. This one was a Chortose. It didn't speak Galatic Basic.
"This could be a problem," muttered Albedo.
Albedo infiltrated the Chortose's mind. Instead of trying to find information directly, he instead went and stripped the alien of his knowledge of the Chortose language.
Albedo grinned. He had now acquired a new alien language.
Albedo infiltrated the Chortose's mind again and found nothing of significance. He reported this to Katarn.
"That does not solve the problem," said Albedo. "If an apprentice is willing to attack a teacher that is not their own, they won't stop just because you don't do exactly as he expects. He'll try something else, and then it'll be without any clues or forewarning."
"I think a mission would be beneficial," said Albedo. "Regardless of where my strength is now, a mission will help prove the true level in which I currently am in, regardless of either higher or lower than my expectations."
