"Well I'll be a Mynocks Uncle! I never really expected that Jedi nonse - er I mean Jedi business to be real. If you say they went northwest, I'll believe you. We can't catch'em on foot, but we should be able to find'em with the ship. I'll start her back up and we can head in that direction till we see somethin'."

Jubilee headed back up the loading ramp into The Ando Impulse and hailed Vexer on the coms. "Hey buddy, start up the ship, we've got a headin' from Atris. Northwest, anything up there on the map?" Vexer beeped backed over the intercoms two short concise beeps and a few whirls. "More sand eh? Alright, well I don't know how else to track them, so we'll have to take her on her word. Trust me buddy, we'll be fine."

Jubilee made her way back to the cockpit securing herself in the captains chair, pressing the same sequence of flips, switches and buttons and the engines purred to life once more. The frame rattled yet again and then quieted down as her ship began to lift into the air.

"We'll go a bit slower this time, keep your eyes out for any movement. It's a big desert out there."

“Jedi nonsense.” That comment solicited another smile of amusement from Atris. It was beginning to look as if that would be a common occurrence around the dark haired pilot. Bringing herself back to the present, Atris Shortly followed Jubilee back into the The Ando Impulse.

Atris returned to her seat beside the pilot in the cockpit and stared out at the sand below as it passed by. Hopefully they would catch up with the spice runners soon, wherever they may be. Jubilee’s statement that it was a big desert was apt. It was big. Big enough that after some time of silence had passed with no sign of life, Atris began to wonder if they were going in the correct direction. Had she been incorrect in directing them northwest?

Then she spotted something. “There,” Atris pointed, leaning forward in her seat. “Isn’t that a cave entrance?”

The ship blew over the loose sand that covered Savareen, whipping up dust clouds behind the boosters. Jubilee was intently looking out of the windows and then Atris caught her attention. "Holy hell! You're right. That is absolutely a cave. Great eye's tiger." Jubilee said enthusiastically to her partner.

"Alright, I'm gonna buzz over the entrance and land just outside. I think if we break out hard and dive in hard and fast we can catch them by surprise and cut through their initial forces. These bastards caught me by surprise last time, not so sure how many of them there are, but we'll find out. I'm gonna have Vexer stay in the ship and keep her airborne in case we need a speedy getaway. You ready?"

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” Atris answered the pilot, offering her a smile, optimistic but wary of what the cave might hold.

Atris got to her feet and drew her lightsaber. She did not ignite the blade, but she did hold it, ready for use at any moment.

As soon as the ship had landed outside the cave and the loading ramp was lowered, Atris made a rush for the cave’s entrance.

Whatever the cave might hold, Jubilee and Atris would face it together.

The Ando Impluse hummed over the cave entrance and then spun around in a 360 degree direction, landing 30 yards away from the entrance of the cave. The ships engines didn't quit but the boarding ramp lowered into the dusty sand and two figures burst from within onto the scorching desert floor.

Jubilee drew her DL-18 blaster and ran as fast as she could to the entrance. A blaster bolt whizzed by her head striking the hull of the ship. "From the ridge line!" Jubilee screamed towards Atris as she fired back towards the shooter.

Jubilee kept running forward towards the cave entrance, she squinted her eyes trying to see inside the pitch black cave while another blaster bolt came from the left ridge line at Atris. Any moment now the entire field would light up with blaster fire, they had to make it inside Jubilee thought to herself.

One enemy appeared from the blackness of the cave with a blaster canon and attempted to open fire one the two women. Without thinking though Jubilee stuck her arm forward and shot true and fast and hit the assailant square between the eyes. "We can make it!" As another shooter appeared from the left ridge line and began opening fire.

Jubilee dared to look behind her and saw that her ship had taken off with Vexer behind the controls. The ship arched back around the edge of the battlefield and opened fire on what could only be presumed to be more enemies approaching from some other hidden area from their base.

They were so close to the cave entrance, but were stopped in their tracks by another heavy enemy coming out of the cave entrance. Atris was faster than Jubilee and therefore closer to the target so this time Jubilee couldn't risk shooting the enemy, she just hoped Atris could take him out up close.

Blaster fire from all directions seemed to be pressing on the two women the moment they had left the safety of the ship. Jubilee had handled the first heavy shooter, a man standing in the entrance to the cave with a blaster canon. One shot, and he was dead.

Not a bad shot. Not a bad shot at all, Atris thought to herself, impressed once again by the pilot. Her yellow blade ignited, Atris blocked all the incoming blaster shots that she could. Though she did not look, she could hear the ship taking off behind them.

As another heavy enemy appeared in the entrance to the cave, Atris knew it was her turn to take care of the foe. If they didn’t make it into that cave soon, they would probably be shot down. She could only deflect blaster fire for so long, and being out in the open like this offered them no protection.

Running forward, Atris deflected each blaster bolt the heavy hitter shot her way. One shot deflected and struck his hand, causing him to drop his weapon. Now virtually defenseless, Atris force pushed the man into one side of the cave and then the other. He fell to the sand beneath, unconscious.

Jubilee darted into the cave over the two bodies that lay at the entrance. She jumped and rolled and landed on her left knee with her gun pointing straight ahead into the darkness. "Did that look cool or what?" Jubilee yelled back at Atris. She rose to her feet and began to move forward into the cave more with the constant sounds of fighting in the background drifting off.

A dim light appeared at the end of the cave. Jubilee was on high alert as she approached the entrance to the the underground cavern. There was no cover for the duo to take so they had to bust in again. The tunnel and the entrance was fairly large, large enough for people and pallets to get through.

Jubilee posted up to the wall just at the entrance. She peered inside and looked through the dimly lit room. There she was, the red haired woman who stole her supplies. The room was filled with tables, and on top of the tables was the spice, splayed out with other materials around them too.

Jubilee nodded to Atris, "Alright. I say we bust in, take no prisoners. The red head, she's the leader of these bastards. She'll be tough for sure."

As Jubilee darted into the cave, Atris was right on her heels. “It did look cool,” the Jedi chuckled, pleased to be partnered with such a vibrant, cheerful woman.

The two of them moved forward, further into the cave and further underground. The cave was larger than Atris had expected, but she supposed that the smugglers did need enough room to move large shipments of pallets around.

Jubilee and Atris had no cover out here. They were completely exposed and susceptible to any attack. They would either have to retreat backward or fight their way further into the cave, where the light was spilling out of. Retreat was not an option. Fighting in was their best option. Once through the threshold, they could take cover behind the pallets of spice. Nothing like making smugglers shoot up their own shipments.

“Sounds like a plan to me,” Atris replied, giving Jubilee a curt nod of affirmation. She didn’t necessarily agree with the intention to take no prisoners, but she was certainly willing to take no prisoners if her hand was forced.
