Personality
Nomadic survivor or brute thug. Perhaps a little of both, though he seems to idealize himself as the maverick antihero type. In truth he is something rogue and a wildcard. A strange mix of sarcasm and apathy with a grey but often violent code of honor and recently rising apatite for credits and power that has come from being steeped in the criminal/mercenary underworld for nearly his entire life.*
What has not faded is his sadistic pension for violence or seemingly pathological need to push buttons. To say he gets enjoyment from hurting and insulting others is about let telling a Sith they have a lust for power. Jett seems to not only need it but lusts for it. Perhaps nearly as bad as a addict looking for the next spice fix. This need also still lends itself his somewhat impulsive nature.
Remaining under of this is his distaste for both zealot religious faction of Sith and Jedi. Perhaps his only moral mainstay is his spiritual connection and understanding of the force. He is what both factions would consider a rogue force user. He see's not light or dark just that it is, and that it is a way to survive and carry on.
What has expanded within the mercenary however is his use of droids. With his lack of friends or associates, Jett has turned to more mechanical means of partnership to assist in missions and jobs. Stockpiling several models to use depending on the need. All are upgraded and installed with fail-safe devices, should they be disabled or captured.
Background
Born on the tiny Outer Rim world of Geltea at the edge of the known galaxy. Birth mother was a fallen Jedi and suspected spice addict. Father is unknown. Mother's partner is also unknown, though it is known that she was female and of similar age as his mother. Names are never given to record despite prodding. Only other parental figure appears to be a Grandfather, a Joron Novarra. A Mandalorian of a lesser known Clan, possibly of Concord Dawn and former member of the BA (GAR).
Between the age of ten on his early teens Nova's family minus the Grandfather is recorded as working for a mining operation owned by Czerka Corp. No known information as to why they choose this line of work given the Mother's skill set, but it is apparent however that it was during this time that her spice and stim addiction was known to the young man. It was also at this time where he had his first encounters with settlement gangs a local smugglers.
In an effort not to be like his parents and seemingly using skills learned from his Grandfather. Jett would join the Czerka Security force on the mining operation. However it was not long before his family was linked to skimming and smuggling from the company to pay for their habits. His mother and partner were shipped off to a prison moon also owned by Czerka, while Jett was fired and allowed to leave the mining operation. It is at this time that the mercenary is believed to have reconnected again with his Grandfather. Training more extensively in Mandalorian warrior skills and techniques. Later adapting them to his skills as a force user and security officer. Soon though the BA soldier would take ill and parish not long after according to records.
After, Jett would turn to alcohol. Presumably to deal with the pain of the loss both of his Grandfather, and soon after that. His Mother. It was also at this time that Jett took his first mercenary job with an amateur smuggling crew. After a few jobs together they were captured by a patrol, and later sold out by a young and foolish member of the crew. Jett, along with the rest of the crew were sent to a small prison colony moon. The young turncoat would not live to see his first week.
The merc would spend the next couple of years passing the time as the pit fighter for the prison's warden. To the point of which he was treated like a gladiator from Rome of old. Jett was becoming so used to the life and death of battle that he was nearly surprised when he was released with time served. The warden was so pleased with Jett's work that he arranged to the newly released gun for hire to work as a security operative for Czerka once again.
Nova would work as Voren Makr's man on the ground in Tatooine. Here is where the mercenary's skills and abilities really began to shine. Jett would cut a path across the Dune sea in the name of Czerka, and in doing so would earn himself a substantial amount of credits along with other rewards. He would also earn the title of company Overseer of Tatooine and the nickname among the native Tuskens as the "Devil of Mos Espa", loosely translated.
All would be well until Makr gave over controlling interest of the company of the the Republic and the Senate in a political move to head the Republic. Nova would serve the Pub's as an officer in the GAR during the attacks on Zelron but after losing the battle and nearly his life he surrendered his commotion and set out on his own. Later coming into contact with The Chosen, the merc would work a few jobs before taking his own solo job during the battle of Onderon.
The Sith would succeed on Onderon, and surprisingly capture rather then kill the mercenary outright. With no one coming to rescue or pay to release him, Nova would spend the next few months in the torturous custody of the Sith in a remote prison (add later). That was until an old partner came to visit him. Clara Ra'kul would make him an offer he could not refuse.
When the job she needed was over the two warriors would part ways for a time. Jett took work where he could find it. Returning to the Hutts, and even pulling jobs for Death Watch before the rise of the Dominion. That association with the Mando terrorists and Clara would grant him a job with Moff Vash Condorro, Clara's Sith Master. There is no formal record of the mission, but it's believed to have something to do with tracking down the family of the former Sith Supreme Leader, Darth Venator.
The rise of the Dominion and fall of Coruscant prompted Jett to align himself with the Hutt crime faction, later believed to be the Corp Alliance. It's suspected that Nor'baal the hutt offered him a position as Majordomo/Director of Security Operations. This position of power also allowed him to offer an old partner safe harbor from the enemies of her now deceased Master. It's believed however that Jett has vacated the formal position, preferring to remain a freelance mercenary.
Skills & Abilites
As one would expect from a man of his heritage, Jett Nova is an experienced and versatile warrior. Born to a Jedi trained mother and raised to a standard of skill and ability by his Mandalorian Grandfather he was trained since the time he could walk in the art of war and combat. He is also an experienced prison pit fighter and gladiator. Allowing him experience in many different fighting styles and improvised weapons and tactics.
His skills range from Mandalorian mixed martial arts, Teri Kazi hand to hand. With a focus on heavy strikes and ground and pound styles. Survival, tracking and hunting in multiple environments and climates. Including low to zero gravity (space) and confined spaces (prison). Jett is also a marksmen with long rifles and well versed with most others types. Like many of his background and lineage he has a tendency to kit himself like a small army. Often carrying enough fire power to take on level a city block.
Rounding out his skills is his obvious force abilities. Realizing his sensitivity to the living force as an infant he was trained in core abilities as a child before his mother's rising addictions. He continued to use and refine his abilities during his time in the pits to a defined Sith or Knight level. Now that he has reunited with a known Sith Inquisitor it is safe to assume he has an will train in the dark side to a least match if not attempt to accede her abilities.
Arms & Equip.
Jett's armor is a Mando MKII with an optional Z-4 Jetpack . Though not as popular at the CCT armor it is still among the top three designs in the known galaxy. Loaded with all the standards and upgrades, other more recent mods include auideo madulator chip , repulsorboots.
Rifles - Common favorites in his collection are the XPC-71 , CZ-CMP2 , and FRAB-22. (6 x mag ammo)
Pistols - favorites include B-8R (x2) , and SA-17 "Mercy" (4 x mag ammo)
Swoard and knives set are custom EHI Claudin Blades to level the playing field with those plasma sword swingers.
AA-19 "Cerberus" - "Now that's a holdout weapon" (20 shell rounds)
Jett commonly carries (2 x )Thermal and (1) Ion grenades for lethal force. (2 x) Supernova or two when hunting force users, and a couple of Smack Downs if he's going less lethal.
Droids - Mo (M-series) , Angel ("Razor")
Ships - The Outlaw Star - Jett's home in the stars, custom made for bounty and mercenary work.
