NAME: Elias ‘Petros’ Kourakos

Petros is shorter than average at a mere 5'8" but is broad through the body with a wide frame made with a healthy appetite. He's plenty strong and exercises regularly using controlled slow calisthenics that he learned while in prison. He has a very pronounced widows peak with grey hairs whisping about on his head of oily tropical hair. His face is round with a pronounced nose above a mustache with grey muddled within it and general stubble a mixture of the two colors. He has a couple of dots on his hands indicating time served, men killed, and prison gangs but other than that he has no personal work of significance. Along his body he’s got scarring from stabbings, beatings, and whippings.
ATTRIBUTES:
Explosives and discretion make for an odd combination in Elias. His patient hunting is infuriating for others driving some to make mistakes or to give up and simply hug a thermal detonator. He’s a skilled shot but prefers hand held blasters to simple rifles with no interest in exotic weapons. His particular interest in explosives earned him a somewhat dubious distinction for enjoying wanton destruction but he does his best to employ them intentionally and strategically.
Unfortunately his patient demeanor can also be a problem and on multiple occasions he’s let his quarry go instead of rush to stop them. He considers it a positive as it’s kept him alive but it frustrates employers with a timetable. His time spent in prison made him paranoid and primal, always weighing his own alpha status with others regardless of position making him never truly comfortable in the presence of others.
PERSONALITY:
He's a somewhat reserved man that is slow and deliberating, a natural biproduct of his previous job and his time spent incarcerated. He enjoys simple pleasures such as the taste of tobacco or a prepared cup of coffee the more traditional way and certainly the taste of alcohol. Crude words and snide remarks are commonly heard from him more as a means to test others constantly weighing and measuring the pecking order. He takes a great deal of pleasure in what he does and taunts his foes while engaging them. His slower methods can be both a benefit and a curse to those around him but he's a professional first and foremost.
BIOGRAPHY:
Once a mining colony operated in the asteroid cluster of Gliese 581. This pocket of larger gentler moving cluster of Asteroids in the Outer Rim beyond Kowak were mineral rich and heartily mined into nonexistence. Countless souls ventured out to Delta Sierra 016 colloquially referred to as The Dig Site by those that called the station home. It was a floating paradise for miners and fortunes seekers that lingered just beyond the danger zone and sent multiple teams into the field. Some returned, some didn’t, and those that did brought back treasures and ore to be taken by whatever corporate sponsor sent them and shipped across the stars for a tidy profit. The miners received a modest sum and kept working.
Petros was such a man that was lured by the siren call of money. Originally from a tropical planet in an adjoining system where it seemed like everything wanted to eat you and the heat was sweltering the promise of easy money in an air conditioned environment was simply too tasty. He shipped off and took to the task easily, fought along the way, made some money and spent it just as fast. A lot of the stuff they did was shady and some was downright illegal but as long as the money was good no law enforcer was going to try to make a scene. He finally got his deal when he was supposed to babysit some corporate whatever's relation that was sent out to observe Petro's team for a sponsorship and during the process the kid died. That was the first and only big black mark against Delta Sierra 016 and his team was immediately imprisoned and forgotten about using the influence of money.
There wasn't a term on the sentence, just to rot for the rest of their days. Within a week one of his members had been murdered and in the following months one had committed suicide in her cell and another committed suicide by cop trying a desperate gambit to escape. Others he simply never heard from again. Petros wanted to see the stars again and began edging trying to find ways to get out, whether through subversion, demolition, or murder and eventually dug his way into a maintenance tunnel and escaped on an outbound cargo vessel that carried the ore and product the penal colony slaved out.
Petros worked with a few teams here and there doing small time stuff but always hounded by the same Outer Rim ExploraCorp that had originally imprisoned him and found himself running from planet to planet and system to system until they simply gave up on the nameless miner they tried to bury.
SKILLS:
Elias is a monster in close combat whether it’s unarmed or other implements. He’s never attended any form of gym or dojo but instead learned from the old cons who passed on their tricks. He’s picked up a few phrases here and there from other languages but is only proficient in common. He’s a good shot and a comparable pilot but doesn’t excel in flying. He’s skilled at basic hacking and excels at explosives implementation and while it doesn’t come in handy as much as it used to he’s a very competent miner giving him a general knowledge of how asteroids interact in vacuum.
