BIOGRAPHY

Dumaagorn ‘Duma’ Yagah was born during the Force Eternal timeline to his father Laragog Yagah and mother Slogash. His life for all intents and purposes was rather simple for an Orcalon, he did his part to help his tribe, the Coldeyasa and found a fascination with all things nature. Often finding himself at ease among the trees and birds when not hunting and a connection with them.

At seventeen he undertook the traditional coming of age rite of his tribe. As a member of the Coldeyasa tribe and hailing from the southern regions in the West, this involved a gladiator-esque event in which participants had to prove their worth against older members of the tribe. They would not necessarily have to win, but prove they were strong enough to preserve until they could stand no longer. In this Duma proved particularly good with his strength and sheer will helping him to win. Life continued much the same, with hunting to help the tribe and yet it wasn't to last.

Just a short few weeks later his parents and he were unfortunate enough to come across a rather sadistic Sith while hunting, who made him watch as they were tortured in some kind of ritual, one that marked him, changing his eyes two separate colours and forever solidifying in his mind how they were the monsters he heard they were. With nothing left, he took up with some mercenaries for a time short time, acting as something of an enforcer and bodyguard, learning many things relatively fast for his young age, his keen intellect allowing him to pick the skills up easily. He soon learnt that he detested such violence, only ever acting when he had no other choice in defence of himself. A month later and he across a Jedi who recognised in Duma the potential he held, seeing he was Force-Sensitive, and the pure intentions he had despite who he was with. Seeing he was simply misguided.

And so he was soon convinced by the Jedi to help stop the raid before they took slaves. Duma helped the Jedi since he was told he had a higher calling and purpose and upon seeing a way to fight back against the monsters and those who would do such evil upon the galaxy and against the same type of monster who had taken his parents from him, he could not refuse. Taken to the Jedi Academy on Takodana, he soon settled in to a new life as a Jedi Padawan, awaiting the day he would find a master to teach him.

Personality

Duma is a very loud individual who is not afraid to get his point across if he is challenged about his views. He is a kind and gentle soul to most, always happy to just listen and spend time with the wildlife or people, to be an ear if need be.

And yet he is fiercely protective of his friends and allies and will often get himself in trouble sometimes when trying to get them out of a jam. He is passionate about nature and fighting back against the monsters the galaxy throws at the Jedi but otherwise laid back and cheerful. He is street smart and observant as well.

Skills

Force-User: As a Jedi Padawan, Duma has a basic understanding of the Force. He has a natural strong affinity towards Animal Bond.

- Proficient Combatant: After spending several years among his warlike culture and being a enforcer a bit later in life, Duma has had to deal with his fair share of violence and developed into a competent combatant if sometimes unorthodox.

- Ambidexterity: Equally adept with both the right and left hand when using most weapons he carries in them no matter what they are.

- Proficient Survivalist and Streetwise: Duma is proficient and well versed in survival tactics. Duma has honed his instincts and street smarts through years of navigating the treacherous underworld.

Attributes:
- Awareness: Can perceive his environment and what's going on around him. Just as many of his race his known to have very acute senses compared to the senses in Humans as well— particularly in his hearing.

- Endurance/Stamina: Years of 'conditioning' on the mean strend being beaten by guards or rivals, has made Karai capable of taking large amounts of punishment that most would wince at.

- Strength: Duma has a huge muscular build with a natural strength that can rival even the likes of Wookies and Trandoshans. A result of a harsh environment and the culture he was raised in.

- Intellect: Dumai is extremely cunning and intelligent.

Hobbies:

Wood carving: Duma enjoys carving wooden figurines using whatever he can his hands on, usually nature inspired.

Reading: He also enjoys reading, especially old novels about adventure and mystery.

Singing: Duma will happily sing if given a chance.

Playing the pipe flute: Duma will occasionally pop out his hand carved, pan pipe flute and play.
