Kaedan made sure the ship was loaded up with everything he would need during the time with his mom. She wanted to soar through the galaxy once again while letting him experience what life was like for her. As the padawan made his way back to the cockpit, he saw that she had closed the ramp and began the pre-flight checks. "You may be able to fly but can you fly her like it was all in the moment of life and death?" She smiled, seeing most of the systems online. "Well, today is the day you learn."

The ship lifted off the grass before it took off to space. "It feels good to be able to fly again." She express as she looked over at her son. "Wouldn't you agree?"

"Yeah, it's something that I always find myself at peace doing." He smiled, relaxing into the seat. Today was the day! He was finally going to be taken to the place where his mom grew up and she was going to show him her training ground. Surely, he was bound to see just what kind of place he was a descendant of. Was it going to be beautiful like Rion or was it going to be a wasteland? So many questions about it filled his thoughts. "What was it like when you learned how to fly for the first time?"

She chuckled, thinking back to her youth. Instead of playing games with friends, she was in a scrapyard, testing out vehicles that wouldn't pass a safety check. A time where she was the Darest Devil around. She loved to hear the word impossible and make it less impossible, even if sometimes it didn't work. "Liberating. Though, I can't say the same about the ship."

"Rallis! I swear one day you're going to get yourself killed!" The Abednedo teen exclaimed. "You tempt fate way too much."

"Maybe I love to live a little, Dez." A young Lyra smirked before climbing on the rusty
speeder. "To besides, think of all the regret we're going to have because we were boring."

"It's better to be boring and alive!"

She scoffed and tried to start up the engine of the bike. "Just make sure we aren't caught and all will be right in the world." As the engine sputtered over and over again, an annoyed frown pursed her lips. "Come on you piece of scrap!" She slammed her hand down on the bike, causing parts to fall off. "UGH!" she tried again and the engine started.

"Fine but if you blow up, don't expect me to cry about it."

She winked and took off. She immediately pushed the bike to its top speed. The engine whined as she rocketed through the junkyard. "WOOOO-WHOOOOO!" Sweat dripped from her cheek as heat rose from the engine of the bike. She didn't care though, all she had was this feeling; it was the only thing that made her feel alive. As she rounded the corner, she heard clacking coming from the engine yet again she ignored it to focus on making a lap around the yard. "Come on bucket of bolts, we can do it." As she rounded the last stretch, she saw her goal ahead.

BOOM!

Desmo turned around from looking out and saw a blaze with a heap of smoke. "Rallis!" He rushed over to the scene with tears dripping from his eyes. "Told you it was impossible yet you persist; you always PERSIST!" Why did she have to be so darn stubborn. When he got to the burning wreckage, he tightened his fist.

"Thought you wouldn't cry about it."

He quickly turned around to see her behind him. Without missing a beat, he embraced her. "DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT, NERKO!"

"No promises!" She chuckled. "Also, I completed the lap before I had to bail. So, you owe me credits." She turned her eyes over to her next mark. "Can you fix up that old star fighter with the junk around her? I wanna try that one next."

"And if I say no?"

"Then I may try to do it myself."
