DESCRIPTION
Corellia Systems' Way-station 22 was one of the last frontier stations built by Corellia Systems before the 100 year darkness and the saber war. It was originally built to shore up one of the few empty spots along the Corellia Hyperlane run to allow explorers, travellers and traders enough places to stop and refuel along the run if need be and to try to make a decent profit at the same time. Way-station 22 was one of the last Class 3 stations built for this purpose. The tech and investment for them were already starting to become replaced with the idea of bigger more specialised stations rather than generalised ones. Even still Way-station 22 proved profitable to the company. The relative newness of the station and its position within the galaxy would prove to be vital over the next 100 years. Not for the war but for the providence of the station itself. Being far from a great deal of the war and a relatively small blip on anyone's map helped keep the station from becoming too much of a target for major factions. However over the course of the war the station was targeted by smaller opportunistic groups of raiders or pirates. It survived these attacks in part to the braveness of the staff that manned it at the time but mostly to the station captain's policy of hiring mercenaries in times of need and requisitioning out a small contingent of fighters at the first opportunity, using any and all pull that they had as a Captain for the Corellian Galactic Corps.
Otherwise the years passed fairly well for the station. Outside of the occasional raider assault life was balanced and the constant flow of passengers, smugglers and all kinds of space faring folk kept the station lively and the population steady. In current day the population of the station stands at just over 2500 including crew and droids. While not the maximum capacity it could have it's much higher than many such stations that fared worse or were in more dangerous territory during the war. The station currently experiences a new surge of activity under its current Captain Naylo Percando who has been in charge of the daily operations of the station for the last 20 years.
Crew and passenger of note:
Cpt Naylo Percando (NPC)
Cmdr Agano Murross Communications Officer
Lt Col Nirea Vavra Director of Medical Services
Engineer Gethsemane Ardelandre

LEGALITY
Legal and legally owned by Corellia Systems.INTENT
This is to be an example of a normal ring and pillar station in the galaxy fully fleshed out and designed to be used by several players as a setting for role play and various plots.ADVANCED TECH
YES, this is a unique station (following a common design) and is owned by an NPC corporation. To acquire it from them through diplomacy, coercion, commerce or force would require a big plot with significant input from several player characters.
