--------------- Not long after the Galactic Economic Forum gala ---------------

The emergency room came alive as a new victim entered. Trodai was wheeled in semi-conscious and yelling all manner of Ur-Kittat curses at times. The burns from hot water had done a job, but the worse was the acid burns. Although the doctor has likely sleeping he would find his EZphone ring from the emergency line and it constantly going without stopping, clearly it was a real emergency and not a drill. When he saw it staff informed him of a emergency burn and acid victim in need of immediate attention once he finally answered. With few details beyond that only it was the husky looking man, Trodai had previously met at the gala before he got drunk.

It was very clear something had happened in his absence after.

The doctors and nurses would find most of the injuries were definitely of a more acidic nature, with large scarring joining others down the right side of his face, back and arm where he had been caught while dodging, and from the initial blast along with when Vossari had turned damp water into acid. To top it all it was mixed with excrement, making the risk of infection higher. So far the Force had aided in sustaining him but it was a draining effort, and so eventually he drifted off as the drugs took effect and exhaustion. Allowing him to relax as they fixed him up as best they could.

Blec found himself regaining consciousness only an hour after the disastrous mistakes he had made at the gala. Fortunately, the event had not yet begun as the boss had been incapacitated, so there was no immediate change in the situation.

As he looked around, Blec realized he was in ER-1, and TRAUMA-1 had arrived to check on him. The droid inquired, "Sir, how do you feel?" to which Blec replied, "Well, definitely not drunk anymore... but I could use a painkiller for the headache." TRAUMA-1 nodded and administered a standard painkiller typically available at any pharmacy.

"Well... the painkillers seem to work... I'll go ahead and check the mails at the reception," Blec said while removing the monitoring equipment. The concerned droid cautioned him, "Sir, please take it easy. Do not overexert yourself right after the procedure."

Fifteen minutes later, the door to the ER swung open, revealing a familiar but distressed face being wheeled in. Blec recognized him as Trodai, the same individual he had once called a "drunk buffoon." Despite any lingering frustration, this was not the time for animosity. Trodai was clearly in distress and needed immediate attention.

"Sir, I fear we don't need any introduction... Can you tell me what happened?" Blec asked while preparing to assist with the procedure.

Blec helped Trodai onto the patient table and performed a medscan on his face. The scan revealed a severe chemical burn, 1st-degree inhalation trauma, and the presence of feces-related pathogens.

"Ok, get ICU-1 to assist us. We need monitoring, I.V., and ICU-1 will test the chemical and provide us with the right antidote. I want you to start cleaning the wounds immediately after the test and begin analgesia as soon as possible. I'll go and check the laboratory results," Blec instructed.

The medical droids promptly followed his orders, and within a minute of the I.V. injection, the patient's pain began to subside. The unidentified chemical used was a mystery, and Blec couldn't help but think, "What the actual...?" Nevertheless, he maintained his composure, reviewed the results, and remarked, "Well, that's new."

"Take him under general anesthesia, call CRNA-1, and flush out that substance with saline. Then initiate antibiotic therapy," Blec directed.

The droids swiftly carried out his commands, administering general anesthesia, carefully cleaning the patient's face without causing further damage, and submerging Trodai in a bacta tank for four days. Eventually, Trodai would be awakened in the ICU.

"Hello there," Blec greeted as he entered the ICU, hands freshly disinfected. "How are you feeling?"

In the ER, Trodai laid on the patient table, those there assisting, although he wanted wet do it himself he found he couldn't die to the pain and his body refusing. The doctor, Blec was a somewhat familiar face, he recalled how the previously drink doctor had approached stumbling towards Azar and after how Trael had sent the drunkard to him like some secretary. It had been a gala of so much petty...vengeful behaviour. A night he would rather forget now, other than the few good moments that there were initially.

Through the pain he spoke as best be was able to explain the situation, with some details regarding the exact circumstances omitted with no specific names mentioned. The doctor didn't need to know who did what, only the injuries. He hoped he was professional enough to respect that. "I was in the bathroom at the gala when the faucets and toilets decided to blow. Not sure why. The hot water wouldn't stop coming, like a boiling hot hose of high pressure pain. And to top it off, the bleach and whatever chemicals they were using to clean blew with it when it did, straight at me, burning me with acid."

He supposed that was about the best explanation he would give, not wanting to reveal the fact that Sith had been involved. Or the use of the Force as it had, he figured he didn't need absolute specifics of what went down just the injuries. Seeing the strange explanation accepted he soon let the anesthesia take effect and the doctor to do his job. It went on for hours and hours as he was stuck on his own thoughts. And think he did. He realised how much a fool he had been, an idiot for not paying attention to what he was doing. As his mind spun in the shock at seeing Azar after so long and the emotions. And then everything that happened after.

He knew now he definitely needed to change and reflected on that fact. That he shouldn't have been such a fool and read the signs better. He spent the next four days in have a thinking on it all, as slowly his body healed as best it could. Although not without new scar tissue and accompanying scars in the areas affected.

"Better. I suppose as one can be after all that happened, although not without a few new scars...thank you doctor. I misjudged you, you are not the drunken buffoon I took you as. I apologise for it. I am glad we met again, although I wish it had been under different circumstances. So how is it looking doctor? How soon can I move and get back to normal business?" he inquired, still in a little pain from the whole procedure. But it was durable.

"Well, I suppose I was a bit of a drunken fool at the time, so it's a fitting description," Blec admitted with a hint of self-deprecation. "I'd suggest staying one more night, then you should be discharged from my care. Are you feeling any pain right now?" he asked, patiently awaiting the patient's response.

"And do you happen to remember what kind of acid it was that hit you like that? We weren't able to find an antidote for it, and it seemed rather aggressive... Bleach definitely wasn't the culprit," he inquired, eager for any information the patient could provide.

"It's 7:30 in the morning. I recommend grabbing some food or breakfast, then getting yourself moving. Otherwise, you're going to end up malnourished and constipated," he advised, finishing up the charting on the computer.

TRAUMA-1 soon entered with a hearty breakfast, ready to be enjoyed in bed. Blec simply nodded, saying, "Enjoy your breakfast," before leaving the room with a smile.

Trodai considered the man's words, finding on that they agreed. He supposed a fool could describe them both at the event, for he too had been foolish or else he would not be where he was. He spoke in response to the comment "I suppose so, I guess that could be a fitting description of us both given the outcome. Although in my case not so much drunk as a fool." He continued to listen and when asked if he felt any current pain, he found he wasn't.

If that was to do with the bacta and the healing treatment or the Force he didn't know. He saw a mirror though, and saw the new scars marking him. More to remind him of lessons learnt. "No pain anymore, so far as I can feel." When asked about the type of acid again, with the doctor seeing through the story about it being bleach, Trodai grimaced slightly. He didn't really want to discuss it, he couldn't really as even he didn't know how Vossari had done it only be had transmitted the water but couldn't tell what the acid was. Only that it was corrosive.

"I'll be honest and say it wasn't bleach then, and someone did it, but I can't say who or why, but I truly do not know what it is they used. Only that it was corrosive, burns, blisters and hurt like hell. To be fair doctor Croncu, the less you know about what really went on the better. Surely you must understand such matters in your line of work." he answered honestly, afterall he could hardly explain the Force was involved or Sith. It would endanger the doctor to know too much.

He spoke in reply about breakfast "I shall doctor. Thanks for fixing me up, all considered. Try to lay off the drink from now on, it doesn't suit you." He joked a little. "See you after breakfast."

And he had no desire to mention any involved even if he did. Such was their way. He listened as doctor Croncu explained and advised grabbing some food before he moved about. He nodded, taking up the suggestion as breakfast arrived. With all the trimmings, which he soon devoured. He had built up quite the appetite being in fact a for four days and after his treatment.
