DESCRIPTION:
The B0-0M Pulse Rifle, otherwise known as "Boom," is a unique and potent semi-automatic rifle known for a diverse range of attacks, most notably for its intrinsic grenade launcher attached to the bottom, which is capable of firing two rounds of a special explosive projectile similar to that of a thermal grenade (lesser radius; 3m). Of course, the rifle has its flaws, for example, use of the launcher would require both hands for an appropriate shot (else you'd risk getting smacked in the face), and one must wait several moments when switching from semi-automatic to said launcher (and must cock the gun for each shot). The explosive projectiles, also, are launched at a far lesser speed than its plasma bolt counterparts. Range and ammunition are also diminished. Anyway, a scope, flashlight or laser light may be attached if needed. Likewise, alongside the utilization of particle beam technology, the weapon is a popular item for smugglers and soldiers alike.


INTENT:
While this weapon comes in similar taste to the XPC-71, its... notable ...attachment is what sets it apart. Said attachment is simply to allow a more convenient, faster, and accurate approach to take down an obstacle/enemy rather than to take the time to unveil, prime, and throw some cumbersome grenade. Also, grenade launchers are super cool.

Tech-review time, yay!

Overall this is a good submission, but in keeping with some of the timeskip rule changes/other rulings we made, there are a few changes/notes that need to be made on here.

1. No burst function.
Similar to how Phoenix took the burst function off the XPC-71, we're limiting blaster rifles to semi-automatic use only, in the interests of PvP balance - because if you hit somebody in armour with a burst/full auto fire, or shoot at a Jedi, it basically negates the presence of any armour/a Force-sensitive's ability to defend themselves in terms of blocking the bolts at all - which will lead to too much potential for it to be abused in PvP and the arguments that can spawn from that.

2. The grenade launcher. I'm just lumping all the comments on it together. First off - it can't be semi-automatic, even with two rounds. Make sure to make a note of it needing to be cocked/readied however it's set up to do so in between each time you go to fire it. Main reason I'm saying this is because either the tech profile is mildly ambiguous on the note of whether or not the grenade launcher can fire semi-auto itself after switching to it or if it specifically needs cocked in between both times...or I'm just super tired and my reading comprehension has fallen apart on me and it's not ambiguous at all. I dunno.

Those grenades won't move any faster than your blaster bolts. If anything, it'd be the preference of us tech mod folks that they be noted as moving slower, and the reasoning ties into the next bit about them: We'll be watching the useage of it carefully to make sure it isn't abused in PvP. After what was going on with that rocket rifle, we don't want a repeat. At close ranges, sure, it'll be basically impossible to dodge if somebody is to point out that, say, they're six meters away, so the fire the grenade with a 3 meter blast radius at their opponent's feet. That'd still be reasonable faster than the other person can dodge, but at the same time, it's not particularly sportsmanlike, is it?

The main purpose of a grenade launcher is to damage emplacements or cause multiple casualties, among other things - not to be used as, in the way that CoD players would put it, a "noobtube." If you're attacking a group of people in a building with this and you want to shoot a grenade through a window/bust down their door or their walls with it, go ahead, or if you want to get around the cover that an opponent is using against you, go ahead - but if we see people starting to try and rules lawyer their way into kills with the weapon by standing barely outside the blast radius and shooting a grenade at their opponent's feet, or something else equally ridiculous, we'll be archiving it.

It's a good looking tech submission, so if you take out the burst function, add in the bit about the grenades moving slowly, and give me a cookie in the next five business days, that should be good. (Also, be careful with that bit in the description of "the weapon is a popular item for use against skilled force-users," because we're trying to discourage people from making/using tech just because it's good against force users. kthxbai i <3 u)
