I'm pleased to announce the following four people have been chosen to be members of the think tank:
- Darth Malon
- Green Ranger (Boli)
- Vanity (Nevermore)
- Xenomorph
Congratulations to the four of them! As we said when we were first talking about the self-nominations, we tried as best as possible to not only choose the people we felt would help create the best timeline, but to try to choose people from different backgrounds on the site (different factions, registration dates, etc). We also chose people that basically started in different timelines: Boli joined during the first timeline, Xeno joined during the second, Nevermore joined during the third, and Malon joined during the fourth.
That brings the full think tank membership of 6 admins, 4 faction leaders, and 4 others to:
- Brandon Rhea
- Darth Malon
- Empress Adena
- Green Ranger (Boli)
- Hakim (Jiang)
- Matt
- Ols
- Samuikion (Lavi)
- Santoro
- SIN
- Sir Doomsday (Nexus)
- Sreeya
- Vanity (Nevermore)
- Xenomorph
These 14 individuals will be responsible for developing the new timeline beyond the basic concepts that were laid out in the write up that the staff put together.
The think tank will begin tomorrow. I'm not going to give an exact time, but figure on 24 hours after the posting of this thread at minimum. The reason we're doing this is to give the think tank members a chance to fully collect their thoughts now that they know they're in the think tank, as well as to let you all send your ideas to the think tank members if you would like to.
However, I will say one caveat about sending ideas to the think tank members: it is a courtesy that we are extending. Think tank members are under no obligation to actually bring your ideas to the rest of the think tank if they don't like them, nor is the think tank obligated to go with your ideas if they are brought before the think tank.
This is one of the same reasons that we make the think tank a private board for: we need to make sure we're creating the best timeline possible, not creating a patchwork of wishlists.
I do absolutely encourage you to send your ideas though!
Once again, please join me in congratulating Boli, Malon, Nevermore, and Xeno! We'll let you know once the think tank officially starts up.
