  • Armani Dove was born as the middle child of a family of three. His parents, Jal'ia and Ra'thon were farmers tending the land on Corellia, primarily growing wheat and barley to make their regionally famous Corellian Rum. Coming from a long and extended family of such farmers who had long since lived in the hinterlands of the capital, Coronet, Armani's early years as a young child were naturally hazy in his memory. His elder brother, Ibrahmi, was a tall and physically powerful specemin, set to inherit the family farm after Jal'ia died while the youngest sibling, Katrina, was content to mischeviously be the source of mischief and often was viewed as a 'wicked child' by the locals. These early memories had little impact on the young Armani, as around the time that he was beginning schooling, the Dove family found itself in dire financial straits. The year's crops had failed, and with a consortium of hungry and ambitious corporate landholders vying for their fertile lands, times grew hard. Eventually, when the next year's crops failed, as well as the year after that, through rather suspicious circumstances, Jal'ia Dove was forced to cave in. With the family funds depleted, the patriarch of the family sold the farm off to the highest bidder to make ends meet. Poor, and with no land left, the Dove family was forced to leave their ancestral home and emigrate.

Farming was the only life that the Dove line knew, they were men of Rum and Rye, it was their skill for generations. Wtih only a modest amount of money though, the options to emigrate to were limited. It was by chance, though, that Jal'ia found an affordable rural landholding on Concord Dawn, a bargain of a deal that only required he and his family relocate to the Mandalorian planet, still under Republican control, and help rebuild the recently decimated Clan Fett. The notion of emigrating was intensely debated between Jal'ia and the rest of his extended family still on Corellia but, in the end, there was little choice in the matter, the family moved to Concord Dawn, beginning a new life, changing their surname to 'Fett'.

Armani Fett, as he was now known, eventually became old enough to help around on the new farm during this time. Though, through this familial obligation, it was quickly discovered that Armani was a rather lazy sack of potatos, preferring to put more effort into crafting elaborate stories to avoid doing work than actually doing the work itself. He was sly, quick witted, and possessed a voracious appetite only put off by his tendency to shirk off work. The boy proved to have adequate grades, adequate physical skill, and adequate charisma- a rather mediocre figure all around. However, even at an early age, the boy proved to be an exceptional marksman, often shooting scavenging birds or animals that might try and eat some of their crops, usually with increasingly fatal accuracy from on the other side of the fields. Indeed, a sort of dark and twisted game began wherein the lad would hide out in the rafters of the barn and wait late at night for some creature to wander onto their lands before shooting them dead, it was a stress reliever, an odd one admittedly, to cope with a very tumultuous and complicated childhood.

Emigrating was not an easy thing, despite joining and integrating into a Mandolorian Clan. While not necessarily treated like a second-class citizen, Armani still decisively felt the sensation of being excluded from social circles growing up due to the fact that he was not originally Mandalorian. While these cases were often more subliminal than confrontational, the second son still struggled to make friends throughout his youth, contributing to his rather nihilistic and lazy personality as a whole. Still, the boy was not alone, for in the phase of rebuilding Clan Fett, others had flowed into the desperate and destitute Clan, adopting the surname 'Fett' in return for land and a new start, creating one of the more racially and socially diverse of the Mandolorian Clans. Among these fellow emigrants, Armani made fast friends, going on many a misadventure in the never ending crusade to shirk responsability and eat plenty of pancakes.

By the time that Armani had turned into a young man, sixteen years of age. He had grown into much of what he still is today: rather tall, physically fit, and a rather clever fellow. These traits were all he had to fall upon when Jal'ia had a heart attack and died one day while working the fields. With Ibrahmi inheriting all as the eldest son, Armani was, as according to tradition, forced to leave home and find his own fortune. With no real marketable skills though, the young man struggled to find work. Eventually, with no other real viable option, Armani joined the Mandolorian Militia, training among a sea of others to become the greatest warriors in the galaxy. Naturally, this lifestyle was not exactly one that coalesced well with Armani, yet, through years of arduous training, found himself broken down to his very essence in every way before being recast into a more 'adequate' soldier. While training on Concord Dawn, it became apparent to many higher officers overseeing training that Armani posessed an uncanny an almost unnatural proficiency for long range marksmanship. Seeing this gift early on, a result of the young man's earlier days shooting scavengers, Armani was trained as a Special Operations Commando, or, more specifically, a Sniper. In this new role, the farmboy turned soldier excelled, besting his fellow Fett soldiers when it came to long distance firing. Along with the typical tortuous training a Commando might receive, Armani was trained in other fields such as tracking, stealth, and acrobatics.

By the time his training had finished, Armani had changed into largely the person he is today: an idealistic yet haunted man, forged by the fires of war. From here on, his life followed that of what many others might have lived through in the waning days of the Republic. Fighting the Sith at every turn, a perpetual meat grinder that the eagle-eyed Armani saw in full HD, the sniper grew disillusioned with his native home, the Republic. Forging bonds with his brothers and sisters in arms, he grew to learn to fight for something greater, aspiring for the day that Mandalore might be free of all outside influences. While other Mandalorians drifted away from home as mercenaries or bounty hunters, Armani engrained himself in a firm belief of fighting against the opression of the Sith, and, privately, the Republic. The images of war, often through the scope of sniper's lens, haunted Armani, who lost soldiers who he saw as part of a larger family to the pacifistic Republic as well as the Sith. Still, he could not bring himself to leave his true homeland, yet at the same time, could not bring himself to fight against Death Watch when it invaded Mandalore, instead going into hiding during the conflict.

When the ashes settled, and a newly proclaimed Mandolorian Dominion was born, Armani returned to public life, a now hardened warrior determined to fight for a goal that he viewed as larger than himself. The Republic was no more, but the Sith and Jedi remained threats to the Mandolorian way of life. When the Banners were Called, Armani grabbed his sniper rifle and saddled up on his speeder, riding into the sunrise of what he knew was going to be a very, very, long crusade.

  • Once a lackadaiscal boy, Armani has grown into a soldier his subordinates can be proud of. While he is of tall height, he stands erect with a straight back, maintaing a professional look befitting an officer of the military. He treats his job as seriously as he does war -- seriously, sternly, and giving it the attention and respect it deserves. His eyes are a shade of light brown, always looking determined and resolute. Armani's hair is a shade darker than sandy blond, and is swept back with some stray strands going past his forehead and reaching his brow. His face is always clean shaven, exemplifying his youth, but a strong, powerful jaw gives him an authoritarian look. His body is significantly built from years of combat ranging from guard duty and patrols, to battling beasts and open war against the Sith on the battlefields. This is no longer the young man who slacked on his duties as a Farmer or Trainee. This is Armani Fett, Commando, Sniper. Times have changed, and so has he. Armani's attire is characteristic of his military career. As a soldier, he can often be found wearing his trademark CCT Armor, a splendid suit of sandy brown. Elsewhere, Aiden wears attire that is befitting of a traveler or adventurer, consisting of a brown and kaki lined collared tunic, simple form-fitting pants made of a breathable material, and sturdy leather boots.
  • Armani was once known as a casual, leisurely farmhand. He often found ways to avoid doing his job and preferred slacking off. However, in the wake of serious tragedy or disaster he was always the first to act. These days, Armani has largely moved past his lazy demeanor he once held as a young man. War changes a man, and Armani is no different. Regressed in some aspects, but grown in others, Armani has become a more serious man. But, one thing hasn't changed, and that is that he is a kindhearted and genuinely altruistic soul who cares for his companions and his fellow Mandalorians more than anything else, and he is forever willing to put his life on the line to shoulder whatever burdens they may bear, no matter the cost to himself. In this way, Armani can be thought of as the perfect soldier -- reliable, dependable, honorable, and willing to get the job done even if it hurts him, mentally or physically.

There exists an unmistakable sort of idealism to his views of the world and the people on it. He possesses a loose inner code he answers to. For instance, he always treats others how he would want to be treated, even the destitute or poor. Armani was born in poverty, and though he had achieved a commando's rank, he has never once let that change him for the worse. He's grown confident, but he's never arrogant, always humble and never displaying hubris. He's the first to blame himself when things go wrong if it is truly his fault. If the situation calls for it, he will do the same even if it was truly the fault of a subordinate. He doesn't believe it right to let his subordinates shoulder their burdens alone, and that it is the failure of a soldier is also the fault of its commander. Through this, and his determination and kindness, Armani has gains the respect of his subordinates. They may question his choices, but never his motives, and they are willing to follow him into hell itself.

When it comes to his companions, Armani is the epitome of reliability and dependability. His mental fortitude can be said to be as strong and durable as his shield. Never shattering nor scratching. He's the first to jump into battle for his friends, never questioning their motives. In this way, he can be thought to be naive and foolish. But, while he is idealistic, Armani possesses a cunning and keen sense of strategy, tactics, and empathatic knowledge of people that is often underestimated. He did not attain his rank through strength alone.

Yet, there is more to the man behind the armor. Beneath the body and flesh of an honorable veteran, Armani takes the burdens of his position seriously. He also takes his failures seriously, perhaps more than he needs to. He takes every single casualty, every loss of life under his command as if they were his family. For, the truth is, he does consider them his family, for better or for worse.[/color]

Skills and Disciplines

Expert Sniper & Marksman
Ever since his youth, Armani has been a good shot. Years of training as a Mandolorian Commando have only enhanced this trait. With countless combat hours logged under his belt, Armani has learned through both teaching and experience the many skills and pitfalls accompanying the life of a sniper. Understanding how to aim across long distances and the variables involved, how to reload quickly if dealing with multiple targets, finding and maintaining cover from a secure position, relocating to a better vantage point, and more. While not the most glorious life as opposed to the ground-level troops, Armani takes his role as the eagle-eye in operations very seriously, and often does not let his fellows down. While he also is proficient with blaster pistols when dealing with more close-range combat, his tried and true method of killing has always been from behind the scope of a sniper rifle. After years of devotion to his craft, Armani's skill has increased to the point of being able to fire at quickly moving targets, or in turn fire while moving himself if the need arise, albeit slowly.

Special Operations Training
Armani posesses much of the same skills and training as his fellow commandos, grit and unparalelled overall combat skill being chief among them. While he is at home with shooting, he is no stranger to dealing with enemies in close-quarters combat, learning how to use a Vibroblade, hand-to-hand fighting, and how to use regular objects in a fight if an enemy manages to reach his sniping position. Among these general Commando skills though, Armani has had great training in tracking both animals and people across varying environments, as well as how to move in stealth or walk with a light and dampened step. These cumulative skills create for a ranged assasin who excels in tracking down and killing targets from afar.
