NPC player is Xyrael. objectives are here
As he entered the new virtual reality, his stomach was thrown for a loop a bit, for this was the first time in such a machine. He found outside of a small building with Republic insignias on it, as well as a soldier on guard outside. It was a robust building with only a few ports for windows, and they were heavily reinforced. He had been read-in on his 'mission' and knew what to do. First his eyes darted around, and it was not long before he saw a transport shuttle land some distance away, about a kilometer, Northwest of their current position.
He looked at the surroundings for a few moments. They were surrounded by dense coniferous trees in a circle around the base. The entrance of the base faced west and there was a single road going north. Their escape would be more difficult than he had hoped. They would have do dispatch all of the enemy soldiers in order to get out alive, and he would have to be the one to face the Sith.
"Soldier, take cover and keep an eye out." He ordered while swiftly walking passed him. Inside the lobby there were 2 soldiers conversing idly with each other. "We have company. Go and take cover outside; don't go far. Keep them from getting in until we're ready to leave." He said this while walking passed them, expecting them to follow orders. When they hesitated for a moment, no doubt due to his young age, he followed up with, "Now! Unless you want the fall of the Alliance on your head!" His authority clearly shocked them, but they went outside, though not nearly as quickly as he would have liked.
Inside the mess hall there were 8 more soldiers sitting about chatting amongst themselves. All but one were in similar uniform to the 3 he had already encountered. This last one didn't have a rife, but instead 2 enhanced and upgraded pistols as well as an array of grenades and a vibroknife. He was also dressed differently in that his armor allowed for greater range of motion than the others that were more for taking shots. "Commander, a Sith with a small band of stormtroops has landed for the communications we've been working on." He paused for a moment, pushing his senses out with the force to feel the number. The sith, for this was his first 'real/fake' encounter with one, was intensely dark and clouding his 'vision'. He realized that in reality, it would be exponentially increased from what he felt now. However, he could make out the Sith as well as 8 stormtroopers. He was glad that the simulation hadn't decided to through a few more in there.
The Commander rose quickly, "What are your orders Sir?" He knew his position and was glad that there wasn't going to be any insurrection from the soldiers. At this point, the remaining 4 soldiers were exiting the armory, getting their equipment ready. The base wasn't large and they overheard what Akacen had said.
"Get your men ready. I want 2 of you to join the other 3 outside, bring extra grenades and detonators. Stay under cover and be ready to retreat back inside the compound. Take out as many as you can. I want 4 in the lobby; your job is to cover the retreat of the others that come back inside. I want 2 in the barracks, 2 in the armory and the rest of you in the communications room. Commander, go and keep me informed on what's happening outside." And with that, they started to disperse as ordered. There were 2 short, small metal walls placed for cover outside on either side of the entrance. After 2 soldiers ran left, into the armory, along with the other 2 that would stay there, and got extra supplies, they and the Commander proceeded outside. The Commander and a soldier took the one on the left (farther from the path), while 2 others took the one on the right. One was inside the entrance looking around the outside. They were all looking around, ready for them to come from any direction.
4 of the soldiers were in the lobby, behind tipped tables and chairs behind makeshift walls. They were relaxed but ready for the attack. 2 soldiers went left into the barracks with their rifles poking out towards the entrance to the mess hall. The remaining 2 went straight back into the communications room with Akacen. "Erase all the files and get ready to leave." He told the man and woman in the room tersely before going back out into the mess hall. The 2 soldiers remained there guarding the door.
He went to the Armory and noticed the emptiness of the room. They would be pressed. This couldn't turn into a siege, or they would surely lose. He looked around and noticed there was only one high window that was relatively small. "Keep an eye on that window." He wasn't going to leave anything to chance. Though he wasn't much of a soldier. Or a soldier at all, he had his smarts, and he would use them to his advantage. There was no secret hatch or anything in the room; it was completely sealed.
With that he left and entered the barracks. It was a decent size for the contingent assigned here. The lofts were all against the walls with dressers in between for the men and women. There were 2 larger windows in here, but like the armory, they were a good 20 feet off the ground. "Keep watch of the windows." He repeated this to these 2, but would keep an eye on them as it would be a bit more difficult for them. Looking around a bit more, he noticed that this room was also sealed. He was a bit unnerved at the lack of an emergency exit.
With that, he walked out to the lobby, his cloak swirling behind him, and noticed that there were no windows here. He was pleased, looking at the soldiers ready for their task. With this, he turned on his heel, and looked around the main room. It had higher ceilings than the other rooms, and there were windows, and though quite large, they were about 50 feet off the ground. He had no doubt that the walls could be scaled, but the reinforced glass(whatever material they're made out of) would be a bit difficult to get through. Though, a simple detonator could blast through them. These windows would be his charge.
He walked back to the communications room, and looked around. It was a small room with low ceilings and no windows. It was bright only for the screens that the specialists were now frantically flicking through deleting file after file. He looked around, trying to find something, anything that would be a secret exit. "Is there another way out of here?" He asked, almost frantically but keeping his cool for the most part. It was mostly a rhetorical question as he kept looking around. "Sir, there's a hatch in that corner." a soldier said pointing to the back left corner of the room.
He quickly moved over there and lifted it. He couldn't at first; it was too heavy. However, with the force he augmented his strength but still struggled to lift it off. He 'tossed' it aside and looked down. A ladder led straight down for 10 feet before going northeast. "Where does it lead?" He asked, turning around to face the man that had answered him the first time. "It stays underground for 20 meters before coming up about 40 meters from the road, Sir." he replied quickly. "Good," He said to himself as he started to leave.
He went to the mess hall directly in front of the door and knelt to meditate for however much time he would be allowed. However, after but a few moments, he heard the first blaster shots signaling that the had arrived. His eyes wanted to shoot open, however he clamped them shut and focused on the battle outside. He pushed his senses out and tried to use a basic form of battle meditation to help in anyway he could from where he was; trying to heighten the senses of his soldiers while trying to trip up the enemy. Though, it mostly ended up being the prior as the Sith was suppressing his attempts. He would rather face the Sith outside, however, most of the troopers would have to be downed before he would do that. He drew the force to him and readied himself for the coming confrontation.
