Demagol's left arm was stuck somewhat upright as the balistakinesis technique was used but he moved the parts of his body still free, leaning as far as he could to keep his vital head behind the coated limb but maintaining his balance. Maan’s left side facing the Jedi had the glop substance hardening to duracrete levels of toughness. The impacts blasted off chunks of the stuff and would end up freeing the cyborg’s left arm and leg but also compromised the layer of armor beneath it. He would not be able to take a second hit like that directly.

With the stairwell collapsed there was little to no cover at all on the roof for either combatant. The two enemies stood facing off at opposite ends with space between them. He predicted any continued use of his ranged weapons would be unlikely to have a desirable effect or even be flung back at him.

Formulating a ludicrous plan, the cyborg used his now free left hand to grab hold of one of his remaining grenades on his person. The Jedi would not know the type by just looking at it as his synthetic digits easily encompassed its entirety. The Vizsla's heavy frame crushed the brittle substance underfoot that had expanded across the space between the two foes, causing small clouds of dust to rise around his ankles with each step. His steps towards the Jedi rapidly turned into a run in order to close the distance. The Jedi only had so many directions they could go. But Maan remained ready to react depending on how the opponent responded.

Once within five meters Maan triggered the sonic grenade by manual activation, pressing down on it with a thumb while it was still in his hand. The contractor did his best to direct the flat speaker towards the Jedi Master but knew it would be debilitating for himself as well from so close. Still, unlike the Jedi, the cyborg could replace his ears when this was over. Furthermore, an Annfyn's rumored exceptional hearing would have an even harder time dealing with the disorienting frequencies.

  • Maan uses the hardened foam on his left side to block the incoming balistakinesis.
  • The rocky substance is shattered but helps metigate some of the damage. Some of it gets through to damage his integrated armor underneath but his “body” is uninjured by the attack.
  • He charges towards Sevrin with a sonic grenade in hand.
  • Once within five meters he triggers the sonic grenade by manual activation.

Sevrin always had a plan and a method for what he did. He knew what he was doing when he threw that foam back at his enemy, and he knew his enemy would create makeshift debris for Sevrin to throw once again. The debris would crack the hardened foam and keep Maan occupied enough to allow Sevrin to do what he intended all along. He just needed a specific window and all the actions performed thus far finally built up to present that very window.

Because the Sephi didn’t take offensive action, he wasn’t preoccupied or committed to any other attacks. He could act based on what he saw - which was Maan momentarily having to react to the barrage of debris to give him a chance to close the distance. Sevrin saw chunks of the foam breaking away from his arm and that’s when he acted. The Sephi leaped into the air, landing with a crunch on the hardened foam well before Maan could do anything with that grenade. Having stood there to see everything, Sevrin had no reason to wait for the enemy to deal with the debris, reach for a grenade, do a run at him, and then set it off.

While he landed, he threw up his fingers in front of him as if to say ‘deuces’ (Sevrin was his own brand of jerk in combat), electricity crackling and shooting out in a stream from those fingers. As the cyborg reached for the grenade, the electricity would surge through that arm and channel through the body made of electronics and cybernetics. Since the debris from earlier had broken away the foam layer, his entire torso was left unprotected to the impacts of a powerful wave of electrokinesis that would be enough to completely incapacitate him.

Before the cyborg's hand could even make contact with the device he was reaching for Maan saw the bolts of electricity arcing towards him. The synthetic full body replacement that housed the Trandoshan's vital organs was wracked with painful energy that reminded him too much of the process that gave him the very body he existed in. The Mandalorian's vision went red and his artificial eyes glitched into blinding static. The cyborg's body convulsed only for a moment. His heavy frame then dropped to its knees before falling face first onto the roof unconscious with a loud thud. Acrid smoke rose from the corners of the immobile contractor. Maan Vizsla was defeated.

As the cyborg collapsed and fell forward, there was a moment of tranquil silence. The smoke from the debris and grenade residue began to clear and he had his enemy down. Sevrin took steps towards the behemoth, standing next to the man and studying the cybernetics. This man was associated with Apex, he was a prior Huttball winner, and the cybernetics suggested he had a tremendous amount of credits. Between those variables alone, the cyborg would get out of any prison or holding facility awaiting trial. Not only would this man always evade justice, but there was no shred of humanity left in the monster. He would gleefully continue to wage wars and wanton violence against innocents.

There was also the glaring fact that Sevrin Valtiere was a Jedi Shadow.

Without further thought, the downward-pointed hilt in his hand ignited. The brilliant blue blade erupted right through the back of Maan’s neck, ending his life at once. No amount of electronics would spare him from a quick and painless death. And it would rid the galaxy of someone that would otherwise continue to be a perpetual problem that constantly evaded restraint.

Sevrin switched off his saber again, staring ahead as he brought up his wrist to speak into the commlink, “Primary threat neutralized,” He said curtly, “I’m going to your location, Padawan,” Sevrin said.

He walked toward the edge of the roof and casually stepped off, gracefully landing on his feet. Sevrin exhaled a breath, turned to the side, and began to walk towards the remaining issue on the field - a teen boy (@Javier esschoolbus )who hopefully began to understand what he was up against.

Just for good measure, he lifted the radio he took off the cyborg towards his mouth while he walked, "This is a Jedi Master speaking," The enemy would hear his voice from their shared channels, "Stand down. Your commander is slain."

Arak held firm at the lightsaber being pressed down. His kick, though missing it's intended area, caused Kaedan to stagger backwards. It seemed that the padawan had somehow anticipated his kick. Arak growled as he got up, he was starting to get annoyed at not being able to penetrate his defenses.

Arak didn't just anticipate something being thrown at him he fully expected it. He heard the sign being yanked from its holds, his eyes darting towards it. He brought his lightsaber up splitting it in two. Arak turned to the padawan as he backed away, fury radiating from him, Instead of coming to the padawan he used the Force to throw the two pieces of the sign at him. Intending to distract him, he then used the distraction to Force push the padawan.

The padawan would be pressed to defend either attack, that's when an unfamiliar voice came across the comms. It was claimed to belong to a Jedi Master and that Maan was dead, Arak used the distraction to run away from where the fighting was happening, using what Force reserves he had to enhance his speed. He needed to lay low until everything calmed down.

Arak would get a ping in his comms giving him specific coordinates in the outskirts of the city. There was too much commotion going on for anyone to pay heed to a lone teenager booking it. The hired mercenaries were rapidly getting arrested and the main cyborg threat was down. The Jedi Master was not interested in apprehending a single target over securing the whole city. Nevertheless, soldiers were sent after Arak to tail him out of the city.

Once he was out towards the coordinates, he would spot a personal transport slowly lowering down to the ground, the ramp lowering. After a moment, a figure sprang out, leaping clear over his head and behind him. The hum of a saberstaff erupted as the figure directly engaged the soldiers that were tailing Arak the whole way. Blaster bolts were expertly deflected as she moved in a blur of motions, rapidly closing the distance.

Once the distance was closed, she broke the blades out into individual ones, slicing them horizontally around herself to cut through anyone engaging her. Two of the soldiers met her blades with their vibroswords and she sliced both her sabers counterclockwise to meet them, releasing the hilts. In a blur of motions, she retracted her arms and slammed both fists into the faces of both soldiers, stunning them. Her hands then jutted downwards to catch her falling hilts, closing her blades back in to cut through the legs of both men while they reeled from the solid punches to the face.

She made short, swift work of the rest, deflecting one last blaster bolt into the back of a man who was running away. Both sabers were switched off and combined once more. It was then that she turned to Arak and responded to the text she had received from him.

“You’re coming back from this fucking mission,” She said simply, the ship already rising into the sky. They would both leap onto the ramp and make a swift exit.

Kaedan had staggered back from the kick Arak threw but instead of going back on the offensive, he threw a sign and stood defensively waiting for his opponent to re-engage. Just as Arak sliced the sign in half, he heard Master Valtiere's voice through his comm, informing him that the primary threat was taken care of and that he was going to provide reinforcements.

When the sign was thrown back at him, Kaedan used the force to halt both pieces before setting them on the ground. This left him vulnerable to the force push Arak sent his way. Kaedan was sent back and had landed on the floor. When he got up, he saw Arak fleeing. The fight was over, they both survived and that was what mattered.
"The sith fled, master. The battle is over."

Kaedan deactivated his lightsaber, reattaching it to his hip. He took a breath before moving to rendezvous with Sevrin.
