See link here. While it’s an old thread, it’s a good one. Sometimes I would recommend going to read old PvP threads if you want to learn. I picked this from a time before the current PvP meta of pedantry.
I wanted to put this here because I wanted to give an example of a good PvP. I would encourage anyone interested in PvP to read this thread, and take note of a few things.
I point this out because this is an incredible PvP that’s both fun to read and an example of what every single one of us should be striving toward for our PvPs. Often times there’s announcements about what not to do, but I thought maybe it would be helpful to show a what should you do.
Additionally, it’s an interesting look into exhaustion and concentration. In this fight, they’ve been going on for several minutes before the first mention of tiring (posts 33-34). I point this out not as a hard and fast rule, but to demonstrate that two Force powers isn’t enough to exhaust someone. And when the characters start to feel exhausted, it shows up in their actions. They aren’t as spry after being wounded and physically taxed. By the end of the fight, they're huffing and puffing, struggling to make attacks, etc.
This single thread gives examples of almost everything you need to know about PvP. Shared time, Force powers, attitude, story implementation, and probably more that I'm not listing. For those of you who ask for examples of good PvP, here it is.
Edit: I added a few more comments in the post below.

- The number of “edit” tags. There were very few posts in the thread “edited” after being posted. The reason I point this out is because this fight wasn’t about “argue with your opponent until they edit to comply with what you want.”
- The number of IC posts made each day. There are 72 IC posts made in 10 days. That’s an average of 7.2 posts made per day. Now why do I point this out? Because there’s no way that you can make it through that many posts per day if you’re spending 10 OOC posts arguing each IC post.
- The complete lack of an OOC. I think this one is self-explanatory. There were 72 IC posts without ever even making an OOC thread.
- The story aspects still worked into the PvP. While there’s a fight going on, the characters are still building a fascinating story. It's not about "grab a stupid kill" or fighting just for the sake of a fight. It’s about creating a narrative, not just wracking up another kill for stupid reasons.
- The willingness to “go with” what your opponent posted. No arguing about this tiny detail or that tiny detail. No “you don’t have the tiny amount of time you need to do that.” No “you didn’t perfectly address this attack so I’m going to auto hit you.” No “you can’t do that many things at once.” Whatever the other person wrote, the opponent worked with it. If you’ve PvPed at all, just read this thread and think about all the places that people would normally argue about timing or concentration or stamina. It’s become the norm and that’s for the negative. You won’t find any of that here.
