NAME: Alesha Solus
FACTION: Mandalorian
RANK: Marauder
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 23
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5’ 9”
WEIGHT: 132 lbs
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
APPEARANCE:
Alesha is of an average lithe build, standing at 5 feet and 9 inches tall and weighing 132 lbs. She’s not skinny per se, having toned and noticeable muscle from her training. Alesha’s skin is slightly tanned, though still light. She has straight, auburn-reddish hair which falls a couple inches below her shoulders, and occasionally covers her eyes; her right eye is a deep violet while her other is a piercing ice blue, a result of genetic mutations. Alesha also frequently wears a small chain around her neck, hanging from which are her parents’ rings, two simple gold bands with a single violet crystal inlaid in one and a blue one in the other, just like here eyes.
ATTRIBUTES:
As a Mandalorian, Alesha received training in a number of combat disciplines including piloting, martial arts, blade combat, and blasters. While average in most, Alesha excels at long-range blaster fire, sabotage, and explosives. She’s much more comfortable on a hill with a sniper rifle than in close quarters with a knife or blaster pistol. She has exceptional hand-eye coordination and was the fastest of her training class, though she struggles to fight or run for a longer period of time.
PERSONALITY:
Alesha was known to her friends to have a charming and outgoing attitude, though somewhat impulsive. She’s the kind of person to make a detailed plan, then decide to begin improvising as she went along, regardless of earlier ideas. This causes her to appear indecisive at times. Regardless, Alesha was an honourable warrior committed to everything the Mandalorians stood for. However, after the Sacking of Mandalore by the Sith and her experiences from that, Alesha’s demeanor changed. Because she missed the sniper shot on the bomber pilot whose payload would go on to kill her family and other Mandalorians, she blames herself for their deaths. The shock and trauma from this experience and her shame from running away from it all has caused Alesha to develop a form of PTSD which manifests itself in a few different ways. First, since the battle she has been unable to bring herself to touch a gun, and specifically her sniper rifle which she keeps locked in its case. Additionally, Alesha freezes up when faced with an ensuing fight or violent scenario, which is coupled with frequent nightmares about the Sacking of Mandalore. As a result of this, she has become somewhat of a shell of her former self, trying to bury her sorrow and pain through drinking and occasional one-night stands as she travels throughout the Outer Rim. Despite this, deep down Alesha wants redemption for her failure and a loving relationship to cure her loneliness.
BIOGRAPHY:
Alesha Solus was born to Mandalorian warriors Dak Solus and Analyn Solus (née Ordo) on Mandalore itself. When she was still a toddler, her family moved to the nearby moon of Concord Dawn, where her father was stationed for a mission. This is where Alesha spent most of her time growing up, much of it with her older brother Taysom. Despite her parents being frequently occupied, the family kept a tight bond and had a stable relationship with each other.
Alesha began training as a Mandalorian warrior young, since her parents were both fighters and her brother was officially training. As a result, she had a head start when she began as part of a group at 13, quickly taking an interest in sharpshooting. While she was average at infantry tactics and better than half her class in martial arts, Alesha found her skill on a perch overlooking a battlefield, with her eye behind a scope. Her instructors, noticing her skill, helped her develop those skills, as well as suggesting complementary studies such as sabotage and assassination. At 20, Alesha officially joined the Mandalorian army and forged her own Beskar’gam; dark orange and red, autumn colours like her hair. Additionally, as her entire family was now in the military forces and often separated on missions, her parents gave her their rings, a family heirloom from her mother’s side. They both consisted of a simple gold band, each ring with an oddly shaped crystal inlaid in it; one ring had a violet crystal, the other and ice blue one. Strangely, these were also the colours of her mismatched eyes, and Alesha felt an odd connection to the rings.
Alesha fought in the war a number of times, racking up an impressive kill count of Sith infantry troopers, enemy sharpshooters, and once even a low-ranking Sith who’d been distracted by a pair of Mandalorian supercommandos. During this time, she also began a relationship with another girl named Johanna Viszla, a year older than her who also fought in Alesha’s parent’s division. However, everything changed when the Sith assaulted and sacked Mandalore. Assigned to watch over the division her mother, father, and girlfriend were in, Alesha was tasked with taking out Sith shock troops from afar. When the bombers came in, she began to take aim at those pilots as well. Fate was not kind that day, though, and as she was tracking a bomber pilot in her crosshairs, another bomb landed nearby and caused her to flinch. Alesha, as good as she was, lost her aim on the moving target in that split second, and she missed her shot. To her dismay and horror, that same bomber dropped its payload on the warehouse her parents’ and girlfriend’s division had just regrouped in, killing everyone inside.
Alesha froze in shock, fear, and grief all at once. She’d wanted to scream, but no sound escaped her gaping mouth. In a panic, she ran, desperate to escape what she hoped was a terrible nightmare. Reality came crashing down as she boarded her ship and struggled to fight her way past the Sith forces and away from Mandalore. She barely did so, escaping in hyperspace you the unoccupied Outer Rim, where she made several ship repairs and spent a week doing everything possible to escape sobriety and the nightmares of loved ones’ body parts scattered in the warehouse. Currently, Alesha is only seeking to regain some sense of identity as she aimlessly travels in the Outer Rim.
