(OOC: This is going to be a mission thread for @Sammeister and myself. Anyone is welcome to ask to join! Especially Jedi!)
Galactic Evolution
Indie Space
0800 Shipboard Time
Sitting on top of his small, battered, and slightly aged light freighter, Jedi Master Kai Sera held a hydrospanner I'm his hand as he tried to pry a loose panel off with the Force. As the young, dark-haired man did his best not to ruin the part of the ship he had to wonder if he would get the repairs done in time; he had a mission planned for today and had placed a mission notice so that Jedi on board the Galactic Evolution could join him. Knowing he would have a mission today, and that his ship was in desperate need of repairs, Kai had gotten up hours earlier to start getting to work on his transport. He was almost done now, if only he could get this damned panel off so he might repair the system underneath! With a loud and unpleasant wrenching noise, the panel screeched as it came loose, the noise echoing throughout the large open hanger. Looking around, Kai glanced at the mechanics and technicians as they stared at him. Swearing silently to himself, the young master placed the panel down on the ship top next to him as he went to work fixing the panel. It was all he could do to prevent him from focusing too much at the mission at hand.
The mission before him was a bit of a mess. A young Jedi Knight had gone rogue and had left the Order and the fleet, quite dramatically. Best that anyone could tell, the rogue knight had left the previous day and was headed towards Sith territory, where they suspected he'd try to betray the Order. The how and why were still a little fuzzy, all Kai knew was that the Jedi was last seen heading towards Kashyyyk, a planet they had recently liberated from the Sith, and from there Kai guessed that the knight would try to make it across the front lines. Naturally, it was important to the Order to stop this rogue Jedi from reaching his destination. Kai hoped it was just a bruised ego, some hurt feelings that could easily be assuaged and comforted. He feared that this Jedi had truly fallen, or worse yet, was a spy for the Sith, though Kai rather doubted it.
Finishing up with his repairs, Kai used the Force to pick up the durasteel paneling and maneuver it into place over the ship's hull. Carefully, he placed it down and fitted it back onto the ship where he used the spanner to seal it back on with several bolts. Hopping on down, Kai cleaned his hands with a greasy rag, trying to get some of the oil and grime off of them before the Jedi who wished to go on this mission arrived. Kai had sent one invitation out to a new Padawan he was rather curious to meet; Kai did his best to get acquainted with all the new Padawans as best as he could, but his time as both teacher and a leader made that difficult. But with this one Kai felt the Force wanted him to give her a closer look, so when he received the mission he personally sent this Padawan a request to join him. Now all he had to do was wait for the Jedi to arrive before they could get going. In the meantime, Kai was going to check the fuel levels and make sure everything was sorted before they left.
