Let's say you had the power to write your own Star Wars story, set in the current canon. It could be a movie, a book, a comic, a video game, a short - anything you want. What would that story be?

A live action starfighter tv series around the missions and accomplishments of the rebel alliance told through the eyes of Rogue Squadron, similar to the X-Wing series.

I wouldn't mind seeing something much more mundane. A drama of sorts would be interesting I suppose.

Basically yes, I wouldn't mind watching an All My Children set in the Star Wars Universe. I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to the Office, or something set in a hospital/school/insert another mundane place. Something like the Middle or Everybody Hates Chris, but on Coruscant would be fun. I've seen enough badasses, I always wanted to see the everyday people.

The Office would be amazing in the SW universe. Maybe King of Queens set in Coruscant as well.

Alternatively, I just got the idea for a movie similar to Straight Outta Compton, but set on Nar Shaddaa. Futurama would also be extremely compatible with the SW universe.

Movie/TV Show about the early Rebellion, Saving Private Ryan/Band of Brothers/The Pacific-level of grit. Strictly ground troops and fighting against a technologically superior force. Average people.

An actually good modern Battlefront game without the arcadey elements. (I miss BF1 and BF2).

And, of course, being selfish, a Herrith movie/TV show. :P

A movie staring an imperial intelligence agent during the Great Galactic War (3681 BBY-3653 BBY), or just a movie that focus' almost entirely on imperials of any era honestly.

I would do a story set shortly after Endor. The plot centers around an alien bounty hunter(former slave from a primitive world) who is trying to make a living in the midst of the chaos that follows Paplatine’s death. During a job he gets stuck with a (human)orphan thief who has the means to help achieve his objective. In the course of a galactic odyssey they face the harsh realities that the Galactic Civil War leaves in its wake. They basically begin to form a partnership/relationship somewhat similar to that of the Hound and Arya Stark from the GOT series.

The duo would contend with other criminals, pirates, cultists, and rival bounty hunters during their misadventure. They even get caught in the crossfire of a battle between the New Republic and the crumbling Empire. I think it would work best as a comic book series or novel.

A video game set on Coruscant level 1313 where you get to do some bounty hunting. Live the life of scum and track down other scum.

Hmmm... tough choice really. For me, most of the movies I would want to make would be focused on characters that people usually consider ancillary.

Personally, I would love to do a film detailing young Dooku and his time with the Jedi. Explore his relationship with Qui-Gon, Yoda and other members of the Order. Maybe even delve into some political intrigue to help explain how he went from being a Jedi to a Count on Serenno, and ultimately how he was persuaded to join Sidious in his plot. Dooku always struck me as somewhat naive to Sidious' true plans, so I have always viewed him as a man who may not have been necessarily evil, but rather misguided.

Anything involving Tarkin would also be on my list. The Clone Wars series (what little I know of it) showed him during his service to the Republic, but he is more well known for being the ruthless military governor we met in ANH. I would like to see a series of shorts detailing his work with Vader in the period between RotS and ANH. Did he help hunt down rogue Jedi, or was he purely involved with Imperial politics? There's some fertile ground for interesting stories there, I think.

This seems like an old thread, but the perfect place for some shameless advertisement.

I have a Star Wars story all glowing and planned out, a comic based around the events of the site, that will probably be unoriginally named The First Sith.

I would want something like Band of Brothers meets The Pacific meets the Campaign from OG Battlefront 2, you know?

I want to see a company of Stormtroopers go through basic training - I want to see them struggle to bond and connect, I want to see their officers struggling with their burdens - ala BoB

Then I want to see them being ferried from hotspot to hotspot, constantly putting down rebellions, conquering planets and being generally put through the wringer. Like the Pacific with the weariness that would come from "island hopping" but to the extreme with planet hopping.

I want to see the "cogs" in the Imperial war machine struggling to do their duty and to protect the men and women they've trained with, the ones they're fought and bled with until they are family, they are friends and they are horrified that the Emperor keeps sending them out, again and again, and more and more of their friend die horrible, pointless deaths.

I want to humanise the regular stormtrooper and then, when the audience cares, I want to show them how much it would tear at the heart to watch as those stormtroopers, those people, they've grown invested in are cut down with clever quips and casual ease by the likes of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo

But then again I'm weird like that XD
