In the jungles of Onderon well outside any of the planet's cities, the ex-Jedi Shadow and Sith Master Spencer Ward would be quietly be approaching on where a Beast Rider encampment is reported to be at. The mission of this is pretty simple, find the leader of this band of Beast Riders and capture him. Also accompanying Spencer is fellow Sith Master and Judgement Warden Xornoth. With him coming along with, this shouldn't be too hard.

Spencer would be equipped for a venture through the jungles. He would be dressed in olive green clothing, so that he would better blend in with the greenery. He would also have his usual weapons such as his lightsabers, blaster pistol, grenades .etc

As he would tread lightly through dense trees, leading the way, he would stop and then look towards Zornoth. "We should be almost there, you ready?" Xornoth most likely is is. Spencer is ready to as well.

The jungles of Onderon were completely unknown to Xornoth but a small complication like that wouldn't likely hinder their mission today. The pair of Wardens had a relatively simple task to hunt down and capture some leader he had never heard of for someone Spencer needed to help. The humid climate was a little bit uncomfortable in his usual Sith armor but he would manage just fine and of course, he brought with him his usual weapons to this little party.

If things went straight forward, there would probably be a brief skirmish with a few of his brave, idiot lackeys dying for no reason before the leader could be taken in. "Watch for traps, I can't imagine they wouldn't have some kind of perimeter set up unless you think we can talk our way in."

The density wasn't terribly troubling for Xornoth but once they were in a clearing, they would be exposing themselves to whoever was present so while it hid the enemy, it also hid them from prying eyes.

Xornoth raised a good point to be watching out for traps, don't need to tell him twice. He was already being careful anyways out of habit, he usually is. It's a Jedi Shadow thing. They tend to be very cautious because living Jedi Shadows were better than dead ones. And even now as a Sith that's a trait that still carries over. "Right." Plus it was nice to have a reminder to be careful. And on the subject of talking their way in, that's probably something they can do once they find this encampment. "Well, the Exiles did secure good relations with the Beast Riders on Dxun." Spencer would be scratching his chin "Although this is a different band we are going be dealing with, we could probably talk our way in to get to their leader: former Onderonian Captain Rixar Vrei. Or we can do it the old fashion way: just get rid of all the rabble, get what we came for, and leave. Any preference?" He would look towards Xornoth again. Either way, what happens today wouldn't affect anything in regards to those other Beast Riders on Dxun, and this is for something much more than the Beast Riders anyway. They are going to turn Rixar in to the Kingdom itself.

After his partner would give off a reply, the ex-Jedi Shadow would proceed forwards. He still be treading lightly, and would be reaching out with his senses via the Force. He also had his hands read to pull on a lightsaber and/or blaster pistol at a moment's notice as well. Spencer hasn't been to Onderon previous either, but he has a pretty good with wilderness survival. Shortly afterwards, the denseness in the jungle would start to ease up, portions encampment in in sight across the distance, still plenty of greenary obstructing line of sight still both ways, so the Beast Riders shouldn't be able to spot the two Sith unless they already know where to look. But however, just the right step forward brushing his way past a bunch of tree branches with vibrant green leaves. As he stepped forward, he wasn't finding anything to take his next step, then the covering of a spike pit trap was unraveled, and the Ex Jedi managed to stop himself. A larger rectangular spike pit trap was revealed in full right in front of him. "Well..." Spencer uttered. Anyone careless (or without force-aided reflexes) would have no doubt found themselves skewered. Real quick after crouching down and looking in direction of the encampment, to look to see if there is anything moving in reaction. Doesn't seem anyone heard anything yet. At least they are almost to their destination.

The thick jungle foliage provided a great natural barrier to intrusion and as Spencer found out, an easy way to hide traps that would seriously maim or kill unsuspecting wanderers or people they clearly didn't want visiting. Unfortunately for the beast riders, the pair of Sith were more than capable of avoiding their makeshift traps and both would continue to make good time toward where they expected to find the mark.

After some time traversing through the jungle pathways and over and around broken down trees and fauna, Xornoth came across the first actual clearing that they had found on the journey. Xornoth motioned to Spencer that he had found something as he peered through the dense area and spotted the first few beast riders walking around. Sith were fearless warriors who could rely on the force to protect them and if that failed, lightsabers made pretty good backing that up and thus Xornoth strode forward into the clearing once Spencer was caught up.

While the beast riders immediately spotted Xornoth, they hesitated to fire weapons at the new arrivals and instead watched the pair intently. Those that could be seen did not appear to be wearing anything that would distinguish rank or highlight who their target was in that regard. One man stood out amongst the rest as one the others feared and who was wielding some kind of large blaster rifle. As they approached this man, Xornoth noted that the other "crew" as it were did not seem so fearsome themselves and perhaps were even here against their will.

Xornoth would let Spencer speak first.

There we go, the Sith are now on their way towards the Beast Rider encampment, they spotted some of their warriors so they've been heading in the right direction good. So now all they need to do is find the person they are looking for, and get out of here. The Beast Riders spotted, but they didn't attack them on sight, instead keeping a close eye on them and having weapons at the ready. The leader was on the scene though, he held a big blaster rifle, the way the others were reacting to him. Spencer knew what the guy looked like since was briefed before hand and was shown a profile on the guy. "That's him" Xornoth was a go-getter and picked up quickly, but it's confirmed nonetheless. Through the Force, Spencer could sense the fear in the others, all in regards to Vrel, the warband's leader it seems. This could work out nicely in their favour if they play their cards right. Those guys don't seem to want to be here either, or at least with that man. Perhaps he's a brutal leader. Also the possibility that these guys have been going all these years and yet still haven't made any gains towards making any moves on the Kingdom of Onderon at all and they are getting weary and tired. This could all play into their hands.

    "Identify yourselves"
the encampment's leader demanded the two. "Greetings. Sith Masters Spencer Ward" and as Spencer is walking he would gesture his hand over to his partner "and Xornoth Sk'ar." The fact that he mentioned they were Sith Masters carried weight, in a good way for the two Sith. The Force started surging through Spencer as he paused. "On behalf of House Nomar on Dxun, due to your lack of any significant progress on Onderon over the years. You are being relieved from your post." Spencer would, while within decent talking distance would curl up the force in his right hand and launch it towards the former officer. The officer would find his body gripped, held up in the air, and then thrown into a trunk of a nearby tree with power behind it, enough to knock the man out. Spencer would stretch out his senses with the force and turn around, watching at the beast rider's reactions. If they would be hostile, Spencer would have to defend himself.

Spencer's appoarch with the officer might have been too direct. The Beast Rider leader wouldn't surrender himself willingly, and the other Beast Masters probably won't do anything to help the guy they fear and was stagnant as a leader. If the other beast rider's do the right thing, then this will be over quickly. They will still be able to keep this beast rider group and they can still turn in the traitorous captain to the Kingdom of Onderon for the Empire to curry favor with them as well. If these guys don't make the right choice, then killing them won't be an issue for two Sith Masters.

Their target sailed away quickly as Spencer pummeled their target with the force much to the surprise of the other grouped Beastmasters. Five of the group slowly walked backward from the Sith as they clearly had no love for their leader and the brazen display of force was enough to keep them interested in making trouble now.

Four of the warriors, however, took the attack as a threat against their lives and they moved to attack out of fear and instinct rather than loyalty. Two stood to Xornoth's left and two stood to Spencers right and came in for an attack simultaneously against the Sith Masters. Xor immediately pulled his lightsaber into his right hand with the force and used his left hand to burst force lightning toward the pair attacking him.

The strong attack caught the first man with full strength and stopped him in his tracks as the electrical pulse broke down his ability to resist while the second was caught by the attacks cone and injured moderately.

While the first man's demise was guaranteed, the second drew a blaster pistol and took aim at Xornoth's chest and fired but the shot was deflected by the Masters expert blade work.

It was a good thing for them that the lot of them backed down and didn't start attacking the Sith over their worthless leader being knocked out. But alas a handful of them did. Just four though. For attacking a pair of Sith Masters, they will pay the price. Spencer was already ready to act just in case he did things that the people didn't like, he turned around and saw the two that were ready to engage him. They had blaster rifles with crude bayonets on them. They were about to level their weapons to fire. In one swift motion, Spencer cast out a wave of force energy towards his two, with the intent to disrupt what they are doing and knock them down, and with another Spencer used the force to draw his lightsaber to his right hand, igniting it for it to bear it's cyan-colored blade.

Once the two were launched backwards, Spencer would then charge forward with speed and shortly after the one on the left hits the ground, that unfortunate person would find a lightsaber cutting through his torso, ending the man as the one's who wisely stood back have a good view of all this going down. After the one on the left would be cut down, the other one would have his back on the ground, already have his blaster rifle aimed at Spencer and would fire some shots, but Spencer would be ready to have his blade up to deflect the blaster bolts, sending sailing elsewhere harmlessly. Perhaps if he had just a bit more time he could have tried reflecting them right back where they came from, but no matter. Perhaps instead of running away which probably would have been a better option, even if it might not pan out much better really.

The pair of Sith were not here to play games, nor grant mercy to any who would raise weapons against them foolishly. Of the two who attacked him, the last one had avoided the majority of Xornoth's lightning attack and shot at the Kaleesh without landing any hits. In doing so, the beastmaster had left himself open to objects outside his field of view, something that Xornoth was able to take advantage of as he flicked his finger gently to throw the body of the crispy man into the other.

In the momentary confusion, Xornoth pulled his blaster pistol with the force and took careful aim for the beastmasters head, shooting and sending down range a fatal shot that would end his pathetic life. All that remained was the other guy Spencer was attacking, then they could take their captive and be done with this place.

Once the fighting was over, Xornoth turned to remark "Don't you think you ought to have bled your lightsaber by now Spencer?"

After deflecting one more shot from the last remaining person, casting out once more with the Force, invisible tendrils would latch around the guy's neck, applying pressure as it lifts the guy up in the air, the man would drop his weapon as he would struggle to stay alive. But after the ex-Jedi applies one more push of pressure, the beast rider would find his neck snapped and dead, leaving Spencer to just throw his corpse on the ground.

Spencer would look over towards his fellow Master Xornoth as Spencer de-activated his blade. Xornoth has also taken care of business on his end soundly, which was expected of course. Xornoth then wondered why he hasn't bled his crystal yet. Spencer never really thought about it doing that, maybe as a bonfide Sith he should, but he has his own reasons for not doing so or so he guesses. "Well, there will be times where I don't want to stick out as a Sith flashing a red lightsaber." He replied back. He had plenty of scenarios in mind where that would be preferable. "Alright, we are done here. Let's get out of here" Spencer quickly then changed the subject, he would walk towards the treasonous Onderonian officer who is still knocked out, and then pick him up. With that, they would turn the guy in, no doubt currying some good will with the Kingdom. Even though the Kingdom hostile to anything to do with the Force, turning in this Beast Rider warband leader will no doubt allow the Sith to put their foot in the door as far as relations are concerned, which can then turn into something bigger.
