DESCRIPTION​

The ZU-5 light repulsortank, often referred to simply as the "Zoo Tank," is an armored ground combat vehicle manufactured by Mobquet Swoops & Speeders. One of the company's more popular military products, the ZU-5 is a combination light tank and armored personnel carrier, able to carry up to 5 fully armed troopers in addition to its standard crew of 3. The tank is armed with a single turreted medium laser cannon, as well as a coaxial grenade launcher also mounted in the turret, giving it a decent amount of firepower against infantry, fortifications and enemy vehicles. Fast, with a top speed of 160 kph, and relatively agile, the type is intended to rush in and exploit breakthroughs caused by heavier vehicles, unloading its troop compliment as needed to secure objectives.

The ZU-5 has proven a best-selling product in its class, with adopters across the Galaxy. Especially after the breakup of the New Republic, many worlds are now required to look after their own sovereignty, and a squadron of ZU-5s is hardly the least effective way to go about doing so.

ZU-5 light repulsortanks are military vehicles, and in PVP situations their weapons can only be used against other vehicles and starships. They cannot be owned by individual characters, but can be acquired as a faction asset.
