The light blue and streaming white lights of Hyperspace disappeared through the view port as the tell-tale thud of the Hyperdrive engine shutting down could be heard throughout the Upsilion Command Shuttle. Ahead of the single shuttle, sat the planet of Lorta, its giant blue oceans and green landmasses glinted in the sun as the ship began making its way towards the surface.

Stepping out of the cockpit and back into the shuttle’s interior Wodan checked his belt once more, the heavy hilt of his lightsaber hung to one side. He still felt weird without his spear, but needs must and if he was going to fit in as he should, he needed to wield the classic weapon of the Sith more often. There was a strong chance that violence would be awaiting both him and his newly acquired Zabrak Apprentice upon the surface.

The Lortan giant muscular creatures were known for their fanaticism and their desire to push outwards to surrounding systems. In the past the Republic both new and in its previous forms had stopped such aggressive attitudes. But today Wodan wanted to tap into their aggression and let it unfold throughout the surrounding systems, for the right price of course.

“Are you ready for a scrap?” He asked the horned Acolyte. “I doubt we will be leaving this world without at least a bloody nose.”

Vaas sat in the back of the Command Shuttle, he was leaned forward with his elbows firmly pressed into his knees. Vaas’ hands dangled limply between his legs and he found himself subconsciously balling and unballing his fists. His left leg shook lightly from anxiety, his eyes were focused solely on the floor before him, his lips silently whispered along with the lyrics of the song he listened to.

In reality, Vaas wasn’t in the present. Instead, his mind had wandered back to Korriban and the horror of the Killiks that he had fought against that day. The memory caused a spike of anxiety to build up within him and distracted him from his current mission. What drew him back from his memories was the feeling of the hyperdrive finally disengaging and settling back into real space.

Vaas blinked twice and let out a slow sigh as his shaking leg slowly settled back into a calm state. He leaned back in the bench seat he sitting on, the horns on the back his scalp and head settling on the metal wall of the vessel. His anxiety settled down. He pulled the headphones from his ears as his new master entered the rear of the ship where he was.

Vaas glanced in the Champion’s direction, he had been assigned to serve Wodan by some Overseer, it disgusted him. Vaas hadn’t EARNED the attention of a Sith to be his Master, instead he had been assigned to one, like some pathetic Jedi. This was an insult, it was a viewpoint that was written all over Vaas’ face and dispassionate attitude. His yellow eyes scanned the man that was meant to be his master, Vaas was surveying him.

Vaas had lightly reviewed the mission dossier, he understood the gist of why they had come here. The Champion wanted to incite the Lortan to attack their neighbors, likely to capitalize on chaos that would follow. When the Champion asked him if he was ready for a fight, Vaas cocked an eyebrow in reply.

Violence was a language he spoke fluently.

Yeah.” He replied with a smirk. “Let’s do this.

Wodan looked down on the Acoylte as he spoke, there was a sense of unease in the air around the Zabrak. He was clearly born of a more violent nature than the Firrerrian, Wodan only hoped that his violent tendencies would not be the master of the Sith. If that was to be the case Wodan would remove him himself, he didn’t need a pet monster he needed someone he could trust to carry out tasks.

“Be mindful, we are not seeking violence. So keep your temper in check.” He responded, Wodan had not been given the choice of Vaas, if he was honest Wodan wasn’t even ready for an Acolyte yet having only just relinquished the title himself. “But if they want a test of strength, I will be sure to let you have some fun.” He finished. Turning back towards the cockpit, he signalled for them to make their final approach.

In the distance amongst the coasts of the giant ocean a city rose from the grass, rugged, built for purpose not for beauty. A few ships flew around its edges but overall the skies over Lorta were quiet. Policing of the populace by the wider galaxy had kept their space born ship reserves to a small limit, perhaps the two Sith could help with that.
