Born to two dotting parents on Shili, Zana's early years were full of contentment, love and affection. Unlike her grandmother Ashania who was once a Jedi Knight in her own right many years past, Zana's parents chose a more modest life in order to better care for their three young children.

Growing up, the young Togruta was always rushing home from school eager to hear another story that her grandmother would spin, each tale more magnificent than the previous. That was until one day, upon arriving home, she found her Oma's seat strangely empty. It was this admiration that ultimately led her toward the Order, a fitting tribute if there ever was one.
