In response to the report filed:

@Relent's defense stands. Given the timing in both of these posts, the most likely result is that this grenade would detonate somewhere between the two combatants leaving both of them alive.

The next combatant (@Richie B.) has 48 hours from the timestamp of this post to reply to the IC thread. This is the second report for this thread. A third will result in the conclusion of this thread.

okay Richie there are a couple issues with your post here.

1) You're not gonna be able to stun Logan with a flashbang that is 10-15m away from him.

2) Why would the horse stop literally right in front of you providing you perfect cover from heavy blaster fire? It really wouldn't. Additionally, Kalan is up in the air, meaning that he can just fire over the horse, still hitting you.

And never did I state Logan would be stun he would get a bright light in the face not that he would be stopped or anything. So think your overstating what the flash bang would do like it is only to distract and make it difficult to deflect nothing more.

And for the horse unless your directly over my dude which you kind of said in your post you weren't. So like not sure why the horse wouldn't be able to provide cover if it is over my dude. Because it would be like a roof with the walls of the ditch providing some cover also.

imo it would probably be more likely that since no one was riding it (and since it's not a real horse and wouldn't just jump over the ditch) it'd probably literally just careen into it like a car and smash against the opposite side, and then into a jillion pieces of durasteel and circuitry. dont think it would really be able to afford adequate cover.

^ if it didn't go straight past the ditch, it'd actually fall on you and cause more damage.

@Relent @Prudence it was only going around 55kmph no where near enough to totally destroy a car. And it didn't run right into a metal wall sure the earth would be dense enough to cause damage but no where near enough to completely cause the thing to be just fall apart like some sort of Chinese knock off. Of course it won't be running or moving anymore because of the damage but saying it won't be able to provide cover seems a bit much. The front is stuck while but it's rear end and legs would keep it somewhat up to provide some cover. Sure it is going to be useless soon but cover is cover.

That's pretty meta in my opinion that Logan's horse just somehow gets stuck in the mud and provides perfect cover from all of our attacks. Additionally, I was firing on you before the horse would've gotten there.

I'm just gonna say it's a hard no from me on the horse, and I'd appreciate it if you could edit that out. If not just let me know, and I'll take the thread up for a ruling.

@Prudence the horse was moving before you shot and never stopped moving. Getting to the ditch before you shot.

And @Relent my dude isn't really g2g all he did was throw a flash bang and shot not really able to do much else then pretend he is good 2 go.

So the horse would in fact get to the ditch and my dude could use it as cover that isn't meta considering it wasn't me who decided to bring the horse into the fight lol. But like it isn't that big of a deal you can still move past the horse and do a whole bunch of stuff regardless of the horse or not.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little bit disappointed that three reports were needed in four posts and no compromises were able to be found. Regardless, this ruling will wrap up this thread.

@Richie B. I'll be candid with you, that defense is not valid. "Defenses of convenience" like having a horse conveniently cover you or finding a random four foot hole in the ground to take cover in during the same round you're being attacked are not acceptable, they are metagaming. It's a droid not a vehicle, there's no reason that it would jump into a ditch and get stuck just to prevent your character from being shot. I talked it over with the other admins and we've seen you do things like this before on numerous occasions and we will be watching in the future. This is your official warning to be more careful, you've been PvPing long enough that you should know better by now.

As for the ruling itself: Asher Khor has been shot at least four times already and likely would have been struck by the barrage in question as well. He's in a ditch pinned down by gunfire and wounded with no identifiable means of escape. As such he is captured. @Richie B.

Soran is far enough away from the combat to escape unharmed. @DudeTheManatee

Sena and Kalan are victorious. @Relent @Prudence
