The staff is creating this OOC to discuss the titular thread. The way it was ended and rapidly submitted for substantial reward seems highly unusual, given that PvP is still very much in progress and there are some potential issues with the last few posts and the "non-report" we recieved regarding Versoks defense.

So, can someone explain to us what the heck just happened?

Well,

I found it quite straightforward:

Having crafted up a thorough plan to blow up the convoy I didn't think about how the vulnerability of the escape pod. Norbs fired a torpedo at my escape pod, but had not found a way to actually prevent our thoroughly thought out plan. Which resulted in my escape pod exploding due to a proton torpedo and the convoy getting blown up.

That I posted it so fast after I posted in the thread was simply due to me working off a lists of threads to post in with an oven timer about to end.

From my side -

I saw an exposed escape pod, and shot at it with a proton torpedo.
Eccles posted stating that Versoks dude was looking after his escape pod, and covering it from attack.
Versok fired at the torpedos, and also 'cemented' that the frieghters coaxium had blown up.
I wrote my torpedo as having hit, but could not see a way for my starfighter to survive the explosion, so went boom.
Eccles did not contest it, and went boom, and ended the thread.

IMO - Versok could still post blowing up the remaining, unprotected, frieghters.

From my side its pretty simple too, basically what Ecc said.

Also tried to shot at the torpedo but after Norbs post I thought that it was true that its very difficult to hit a torpedo, specially since the freighter visquis got out of was already very close and that it wasnt actual pc but a random crew Preyt hired (because you need multiple people to fly a gunship), also because if Ecc, who is the guy that had his character killed didn't report, it must be for a reason

And I didnt realize about the remaining freighters, I will go and edit my post if it is neccessary

Also, it ended rapidly because of good communication thanks to discord and the fact we 3 were all on.

Alright, you guys are good to go. In the future, I highly recommend discussing PvPs in an OOC where we can see what's discussed, and remember that posting after an opponent locks in whatever they did, even if it's highly unlikely- like shooting down torpedoes mid flight. If this had gone to a ruling, it may have had a different outcome.
