B I O G R A P H Y

For the most part, Xan’s life has been relatively unremarkable. She was discovered in her infancy, the lone survivor of a freighter adrift in space. It was likely that the freighter was attacked by rogue pirates or the Syndicates, not that the scum had much difference between them. The only reason Xanthippe survived at all was that someone had stashed her in a small smuggling compartment hidden in the floor.

Whether by luck or by the force, a Sith named Bahvo Zeebar was the first to notice the distress signal that had been sent out from the ship before it was pillaged. He found very little intact inside the ship, all of its inhabitants having been killed and the ship itself looted indiscriminately. If not but for the faintest feeling of life Bahvo would have left, but something in his mind told him to lift up the floorboards.

Over the course of his life, Bahvo taught Xan much of what she knows about the force and the galaxy. Unfortunately for him, Bahvo was but a mere human man, already in his forties by the time he discovered Xan. Bahvo died around the time Xanthippe was thirty years old, the icy grip of the reaper coming for the old man in his sleep.

Since then, Xan has lived a mostly nomadic lifestyle, traversing the galaxy in search of darkside artifacts and historical sites.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Confidence, ego -- A strong portion of Xanthippe's personality and choice making comes from her immense confidence in herself and her abilities. You don't live to over fifty years old a a Sith without ample skill. Being able to rely on yourself is paramount, often times others will simply get in the way. Xan's ego can be a double edged sword, however. Sometimes she is confident to the point of foolhardiness, willing to put herself into dangerous situations that could potentially have safer solutions.

Pragmatic, merciless -- Xan approaches most problems with logic over emotions. It is easier to make a choice when there are straight forward answers, A or B. She is very objective oriented, breaking life down into bullet points. Viewing the big picture can be an issue for her, Xan tends to assess situations in the moment rather than planning for the future. Success in her endeavors is very important to Xan and more often than not she believes the ends justify the means.

Cunning, vengeful -- Perhaps Xan's most dangerous trait, both to herself and to others, is that she's incredibly adept at manipulating people. Often times she can simply do it with her looks but when a different approach is required Xanthippe is still well within her element. This can become an issue for her when she becomes petty or feels slighted, as Xan finds it very difficult to forgive others for their transgressions. She is willing to do things most would find cruel or unnecessary when exacting revenge, caring little to who is all affected as long as her need is satiated.

P O W E R S_ A N D_ A B I L I T I E S

During her training with Bahvo Xan has developed a wide knowledge of many styles of weapons. She excels mostly with melee weapons, especially discrete ones like knives, brass knuckles and things of that nature. She is capable with long blades as well, like swords and lightsabers but Xan finds most situations are suited to smaller blades. This was something that Bahvo focused on when Xan was young, given that the Sith Eternal's most important objective was secrecy and remaining hidden and anonymous.

She is moderately proficient with firearms. Xan has worked pistol and rifle training into her regimen but she still has room to grow in these skills. She knows how to operate hand-held explosives but finds them to be cumbersome and unreliable most of the time.

The Force is where most of Xanthippe’s training lies. She was a fully trained and equipped Guardian of the Sith Eternal with a penchant for more niche areas such as alchemy and old magic. Xan makes it a point to train her force skills like any other muscle, lest they atrophy due to disuse and laziness.

Stealth and subtlety are paramount to Xan's approach to most things. While capable in holding her own in a fight, it's much easier to slit someone's throat in their sleep. To fuel these ends she is a competent slicer, at least when it comes to locks and things of that nature, and in concealing her force signature from probing strangers.
