It was quiet atop the snow covered cliff. The wind had stopped blowing nearly thirty minutes ago and the snow had settled. Clouds parted to pierce the sky in rays of light that reflected off of the snow and ice with stunning brilliance. Dark fronts in the distance still hinted at the normal climate the area had in most cases but for the moment it was an awe inspiring view.

Cyzyn-Itza-Rus shuffled slightly as he moved in his position. Snow parted on his dark cloak where it had gathered. His spines protruding up from the ground like dark ivory stalagmites. In his hands he held a DGV custom sniper rifle. Down its scope his cerulean eyes stared at his intendended target. He was not going to shoot though. He was too far away to hit anything accuratly with enough damage. The Tiss'shar was just utilizing the scope at the moment to observe.

He could have probably requisitioned a battle tank or two to take on the task. A battalion of Imperial Foreign Legion or Defense Legion troops could handle a dozen criminals. But this was his job and his obstacle to overcome. The only exception was the assistance of the hardy Deucalian, Brandr Jarl.

A kilometer away and beneath the cliff was a shipwreck. It looked like a vessel that belonged on the surface of some ancient romantic sea. It was in fact a Hutt designed orivah class corvette. Even without the assistance of the optics of the weapon the Dread Lord of Death knew that the vessel was not worthy to fly in atmosphere let alone in the void. It had been planet bound for decades. But it apparently had its uses. Inside the twisted hulk of the crashed corvette was nearly a dozen hunters. They were not simple hunters though. These were poachers, intent on taking on Arkanian Dragons. Heavily armed and armoured they had enough weapons to take on the tough scales of the native fauna. However they were unlucky as their careers and lives would both come to an end at the hands of the Dread Lord of Death.

Brandr had to admit that he was getting a bit sick of Hoth as a planet. He had been born here, true, but he hadn't spent any time here due to moving on to be trained by Exiles. It was still a bit strange that he was getting bothered by the cold but it probably just had more to do with the ice and snow.

He'd forgotten how annoying it was to trudge through the stuff.

Settled into a snow drift, Brandr raised an eyebrow as Cyzyn rose slightly. Brandr had no ranged weapons so his options for engaging the poachers was limited to say the least. He projected his thoughts to the other Sith.

I'm going in closer - support with the rifle?

It was probably his only real option. Holding his thermal axe in his left hand and his unignited lightsaber in his right, Brandr pushed onward to cover the distance between himself and the destroyed corvette. It seemed that he had skill and fortune on his side however, as a mist was settling into the area, low to the ground so that Cyzyn still had clear sight lines, that helped obscure him from view.

Cyzyn confirmed Brandr's decision and got up from his position and made his way closer along with the deucalian. However the Sith Master would once he was within the rifle's efffective range and readied it for use as the human sith made his way closer. Sighting in he got his bearings and waited patiently. He steadied his breathing and prepared to fire on any of the enemies that might see Brandr.

The Tiss'shar would wait until the Deucalian got close enough to strike. The Sith Knight would not have to worry about getting hit by shots from Cyzyn as he had an over all clear line of sight to the poachers. Once the fighting began he fired ten rounds though only seven would hit. It was enough to strike two head shots on the first two that were surprised and then a third that was trying to get away struck three times. Another was in cover and popped his head out, earning a face full of blaster as he died trying to get Cyzyn's position. That was four down. Hopefully they would prioritize cyzyn and give Brandr time to cleave into them by blindsiding the poachers with a melee. Of course they might just end up staying inside the broken corvette hoping to force both Sith to attack in melee.

The Winter Soldiers had lamented a great deal many things in these trying times. With the looming threat of the Sith Dogs and their empire, the Republic cracking down on the Hutts, and the growing commonality of mundane crimes like robbery and spice smuggling and slavery, it was more difficult than ever to make a name for yourself as a band of misfits. Still, despite the risks they imposed, there were still more exotic activities one could take up to get through the day and earn a hot mug of mead through. Dealings in Exotic animals were higher than ever nowadays, even two bit criminals could go from rags to riches in a day if he had the right creature and the right buyer. and indeed, no creature was more precious to many than the Arkanian Dragon: massive, frackin dangerous, and rare as a Senator's knickers.

This was why they were here, and this was why, even in the face of an imminent threat, they would refuse to back down. The commotion was all anyone needed to draw arms, after all, they were out here in the cold, no one came out here except for interlopers. They were all armed and armored to their teeth for this, all rocking Heavy Armor and Repeaters, with their leader armed with a PIPE Launcher, juuuuust in case. They were quick to draw a bead on the target, not hard when it's a massive lizard, and they immediately opened fire on it's location, hoping to just get him out of the way as quick as possible.

The Tiss'shar had to give them respect for their limited vigilance. While they had not initially known of his approach they seemed to be aware of it now. He was still at his effective shooting range for his sniper rifle, within five hundred meters. This meant that any and all of their blaster weapons were insufficient to even reach him with the damage of a light blaster. They were just spewing hot air. However the PIPE launcher caught his eye. Cyzyn focused his eyes and attention on them through the scope of his rifle and fired at it, hoping to hit the explosive and cause some major damage to the leader and anybody nearby. He kept firing, center of mass into each of the enemies. The medium damage weapon would probably need three shots each to put them down if they were undamaged but he kept firing until he was out of rounds.

This would be some time but he had nothing to fear. It was easy pickings and the defenders were used to fighting beasts and not people. They were slowly picked off one by one until there were none left. The poachers all killed off meant that Cyzyn had finished off any threat to his current operation.
