No strategic advantage for the Jedi? No offense, but are you...like...high? The Jedi can't set foot on it without feeling the dark energies, but non-Force sensitive Republic soldiers and officers can. Think of all that people that lived and stayed in Dreshdae. They hated the Sith, and certainly weren't effected by the Dark Side.

The Jedi can leave the world and the Republic can steal Sith secrets to share with the Jedi. It's that simple.

So if we are to destroy the tangible evidence of sith teachings...that means people are gonna have to enter the tombs of dark lords and just set it on fire or something. I know Jedi can't do that...because sooner or later we'd be feeding off those dark energies, but would the republic do it?

but would the republic do it?

Doing that would mean dealing a crippling blow to not only the present Sith, but the Sith of the future. So, no duh the Republic would do it.

Well, so far the Sith are totally engaged with the Republic vessels, and it's not like the army is going anywhere, so we could start our assault.
