It was a cold morning, like any other morning really. Then again, this was Vandor and while many call it the second coldest planet, Nova couldn't really comment on, since she's only been to one other ice planet in her life. However, unlike most of the other tribe members, Nova loved the cold and didn't really freeze like everyone around her. People call her the child of winter. Nova guessed there was something about it when she could easily relax in below-freezing temperatures, she was still just normal like everybody else.

Often her parents would find her outside in freezing cold weather, meditative position, relaxing or even napping. This morning was like all the rest, cold weather, a lot of snow and Nova nowhere to be seen in the village. Grimnir sighed, looking to his wife, "I swear, one of these days her cold immunity is not going to hold" commented the chief, receiving a heartfelt smile from his wife. "She got your stubbornness, dear. You know she's always been adventurist little girl" explained Frigg, calming her husband a bit while resting a hand on her pregnant stomach.

A good hundred feets from the little snow village, sat Nova, in her regular hunting clothing and looked up at the clouds with only a few patches of the clear blue sky. She was thinking of the girl, Asaara, wondering what she was doing right now. Those thoughts quickly moved to Jedi, what her uncle called her. Nova never really figured out what the Jedi really was and guessed it was just her new friend's parent's title or something.

As she was about to jump down from the boulder she sat on, a ship appeared out of the clouds, catching Nova's curiosity. Nova could be wrong, but the ship did look as if it had some sort of trouble with it as it came rather fast towards the ground... and near her home! Quickly jumping to her feet, Nova dashed after towards her village and the direction the ship was going.

The Condor plunged out of the sky in a roar. Inside it's cockpit, Nara desperately tapped on the shrieking console as she yanked hard on the controls.

"They're not working, Three-B, what did you do?" she asked angrily, her head flicking around at all the screens screaming information to her. From what she could tell, something in her ship had decided to just completely die on her. And that'd set off a cascade that wrecked the controls. An alarm flashed through the rest of the ship, surely waking up Oren. Three-B stood on top of the console, tilting around to try and balance his weight, squeaking back in droidspeak at her that he hadn't done anything.

She grabbed the old microphone pad that was built into the cockpit console. "Hi, Master Oren, we might be experiencing some uh... technical difficulties so please can you get in a crash pod just in case thank you!" she yelled into it, hearing her voice reverb around the small ship. She slammed her fist on the thruster controls hard, wincing in pain, before yanking back on the flight controller.

The Condor lifted suddenly, the thrusters springing to life, just stopping them from crashing right into a snow-capped mountain. Nara was sure she felt the very tip of it scrape the hull. The dials and screens still flashed red at her as she struggled to pull it back up, seeing some sort of settlement out of the screen. Oh shit, turn you hunk of junk, c'mon...

With a twist, she span the ship to the side and the thrusters pushed it past the village. The ship pushed through to a clearing, hitting the ground and bouncing a little, nearly wrenching Nara out of the chair. With a few more button clicks, the vertical landing thrusters came on, melting the snow around them as she lowered the ship down... until they cut out and the Condor slammed down on it's landing struts with a groan.

Best ship ever... Nara grumbled in her head as she felt the small cut on her cheek. Three-B looked up at her from the floor. He'd been shoved off the console in the landing, now upside down, flailing his little legs. He squeaked at her pathetically.

"You deserve it, you were the one messing with the thruster fuel-line feeds last week," she hissed, before relenting and kneeling down to pick him up. She could never stay mad at him. "Master Oren! We've uh... landed on... Vandor?" she read aloud from the console, narrowing her eyes. Where are we? "I'm gonna head out and see what I... I mean, we've done to the ship."

Oren hadn't gotten much sleep on the trip, he had tossed and turned a bit, but it felt weird being in his old bedroom, he saw Nara's clothes thrown about, and well the Mandalorian helmet and armor that was situated neatly along a display, Rynn's no doubt, but still the Jedi master felt like the T-Visor was staring right into his soul, and that scared him. He still hadn't met the young man, and he was looking forward to it.

But, the two of them would quickly have a much worse problem on their hands as Oren felt the old Condor shutter and shake as the power flickered slightly. Nara's voice would boom over the intercom system as R2-H5 beeped with a nervous tone. "I know old buddy, kids these days can't take care of anything!"

He'd pull himself up from the bed, as he reached out to balance himself as the interior of the ship jerked left and right. He felt the belly of the ship grind against the rocks and jump lightly into the air before crashing down again, which sent the Jedi master falling onto his face as R2 did the same. "Nara..." He'd groan as he pulled himself up to see that R2 was gently bouncing against the ground. "What in the force did you do now?"

Dashing after the long streak of black smoke protruding from the ship, Nova entered the village in a rush, almost running straight into her dad. "Wow wow wow, where do you think you're going?" Asked her uncle grabbing hold of her. "Following the smoke!" explained Nova, pointing up at the sky. Looking up at the smoke trail and then back down at his niece, "don't you think you should let your father and the guards check out the crash?" Suggested her uncle with a raised eyebrow, alrighty knowing the answer.

"Ugh, you sound just like my mother, uncle" grumbled Nova impatient as she kept on pushing, so she won't be late to see the crashing ship. "I rather not get into trouble with your parents if I let you go" explained her uncle with a charming smile, showing he not really was sorry.

Narrowing her eyes, grumbling over her situation, quickly thinking of a way to get free from her uncle's strong grasp. As she was being pulled back to the great hall, Nova looked for something to help her while she begrudgingly let her uncle lead her. Realizing there is nothing for her to use, she looked up at the back on her uncle's head and then down at his legs. *Sorry uncle, but you leave me no choice* Thought Nova and closed her eyes, gathering the force around her, focusing on gathering energy within her palm, concentrating heavily.

She launches her hand forwards, opening her palm and released an invisible force of the wind, knocking her uncle forward, tumbling a few feets from where Nova stood. Jumping off the stair by the great hall and waving back, "Sorry uncle, but I got to see the crashed ship!" Yelled Nova apologetic as she dashed through the village towards the other end. "You little, get back here Nova!" Her uncle yelled and quickly got up and dashing after Nova.

Casing Nova through the entire village, but to no avail, Nova managed to get past her dad and the guards and went straight for the smoking ship a couple of feet from the village. Just as Nova got close to the ship, her dad, the guards, which aimed their blasters at it and Nova's uncle managed to get to her. "Listen here Nova, how many times have I told you not to rush into the unknown?" Asked Grimnir, grabbing her upper arm, looking not too happy with his daughter.

"Chief, the door is opening!" Called one of the guards, which now with the four other guards, locked on to the opening door, ready to fire if order is given.

"I did nothing!" Nara groaned as she stepped out of the cockpit, kneeling down to grab her toolkit. Great, just great, crash landing on another ice planet, why is it never the nice city world or tropical beach planet? At least it beat a swamp. The diagnostics she'd seen earlier didn't seem that bad. Repair the fuel line that her droid had messed up, then see what was up with the landing struts ands sensors. Hopefully they wouldn't be long.

Nara pulled the old, dusty parka coat onto herself. It felt three sizes too big. She wondered briefly how long it'd been since anyone used it. Probably older than Oren. "Okay, I'll be back in a bit, I'm just gonna sort out the landing stuff," she called out as she hit the switch, opening the door and lowering the ramp. Cold air rushed into the ship, as the ramp crunched into the snow below.

"Piece of crap landing struts, gonna rip them off and get some durasteel replacements and clobber that stupid dr..." she began muttering, stopping when she saw the collection of people. With blasters. Aimed right at her. There was an awkward moment when Nara just stood there, hair fluttering in the cold wind.

Her hands raised slowly.

"Uh... Master Oren? I think we have a teeny situation out here."

Just as Grimnir was about to tell his daughter to go back, the door opened and a young woman in winter clothes showed herself. "Chief, orders?" Asked the same guard, pointing his gun like the rest of the guards, at Nara. While holding a grip on Nova's upper arm, he raised his hand as a sign to hold and wait for further orders. "You, stranger. Are you alone and armed, or are there others inside?" Asked Grimnir, letting go of his daughter and stopped by the guards back. While it really wouldn't make a difference, if the woman wanted to get out of this alive, she would answer truthfully. Grimnir just wanted to give to woman the benefit of the doubt and see if she would go willingly or make things difficult.

Nevertheless, Grimnir waited for the woman to answer his questions before he would decide what to do. Meanwhile, Nova found the woman quite curious, standing beside her uncle, who had a firm grasp on her shoulder and looked the stranger over. While there wasn't much to see due to the winter coat, she could, however, feel an aura around the woman. The aura was the same as the one she and her mother had, her mother called it the force, a life force greater than anything in the world.

Nara scanned quickly around the crowd of people, all aiming weapons at her. This wasn't a great situation. The last time she'd been involved with people sporting guns, she'd got a blaster shot to the chest and a couple of weeks in the infirmary on Ajan Kloss. Wasn't exactly an experience she wanted to repeat.

In her hands, her toolkit hung gently, swaying in the cold breeze. Her eyes flicked from guard to Chief to girl, taking them all in.

"My master is inside, but he sounds a little beat up from the cra- the landing," she corrected quickly, staring right at the Chief as she talked. Carefully, clearly, but firmly. "I'm carrying a blaster and a lightsaber on my belt. This is the Centennial Condor, a Jedi ship. We mean no harm, this is an unexpected visit, I promise." There was clear intent behind her words, trying to assert herself. She wasn't about to hurt anyone or start blastering people, but they needed to know that she wasn't just some common-galaxy rock-hopper or smuggler.

She focused inwards gently, her vision glazing for half a second as she breathed, feeling the air fill her. Her attention blossomed outwards, trying to sense any other Jedi around them. Was there an outpost on here? Someone who could vouch for her and O... wait. She sensed it then. Her gaze flicked over to the girl and she sensed it.

The Force.

"Is this your daughter?" she asked the Chief gently, nodding to the girl. "Headstrong? A little more capable than you thought?" she asked, speaking from experience.

Grimnir appreciated the honesty and nodded at Nara's answer, "one of my guards will come up and confiscate your weapons for now. You will get them back once you're leaving my home" explained Grimnir, walking over to a guard and placing his hand on the guard's shoulder. "Be ready for if she tries anything" whispered Grimnir, not taking any chances with one of those lightsaber-wielding people. Oh yes, Grimnir knew what she was and has seen them in action before, he knew exactly how dangerous one could be.

Glancing over his shoulder and sighed, why was his daughter still here?! "You're in no position to ask questions, Jedi" replied Grimnir and returned his attention to Nara. If Nara didn't resist and complied with giving her weapons to the approaching guard, she would be led down from the ship and over to where Grimnir stood. Surrounded by the guards, Nara stood with a good distance from being able to reach the chief with traditional means.

The chief was a tall man, weathered in his facial features and had a large grand beard, although very well-groomed. It was clear he had a very dominating personality and experience in his eyes. His hair was a dark grey colour, however, still having streaks of black mixed in, showing hints of it once been completely jet black.

"Do your Master need any medical attention, if not, then I'm going to station guards at the ship, making sure it won't be stolen, until it can be repaired from your crashlanding." Explained Grimnir.

If Nara continued to be compliant with the chief's directions, she would be guided towards the village, while four guards were being stationed by the ship as promised. While Nova was already being guided back home to the village, she kept on looking back very much curious about Nara and she wasn't subtle about it.

While being guided back to the village, Nara was receiving a few stares from the different buildings, but surprisingly, not a lot of people, if any was outside. The village was of medium size and soon, she was being led up stone formed stairs to a large building with double doors a few feets from the top of the stairs. Leading inside the building, it would be clear that it was some kind of hall, a great hall to be precise.

The first thing Nara would be met with was the intense heat from the three fireplaces in the building. One on the left side, build into the wall in a case of stone. Then the one in the middle, which had two tables running along on both sides of it, very long tables. And lastly, a fireplace on the right side, also build into the wall in a case of stone.

The great hall's interior was built with wood, while the outside was built with stones. The light brown coloured wood gave the place a very warm and cozy feeling as Nara was being led further into the hall. While Nara would be led right down a small corridor, Nova was being led the opposite direction.

Nara was stopped by a beautifully decorated, though, heavy-looking wood door, where Grimnir would motion with his hand for her to enter. If she did so without opposition, she would enter a very gorgeous room, also decorated in all sorts of patterns and markings in the wood and walls. The floor had great brown pelts from some kind of beast and the bed was a king-size bed with what looked like two or three duvets.

"While I go talk with your master, you are to stay here under guard" Explained Grimnir, but paused for a second, as to think of a word, "for leverage, if your master decides to attack" explained Grimnir and closed the door and clocked it. With those final words, he left Nara for herself in this large and very luxurious room, taking into account that he sort of was being treated as someone very dangerous.

There was the smallest temptation to tell them no. To tell the gruff guy who thought he could boss her around that actually, she'd love to see him try and take on a Jedi. The thought was kinda amusing for about... oooh, three seconds, before she rolled her eyes and nodded, folding her arms. "Yeah sure, fine. Just take up more of my time, why don't you?"

She dropped her bag of tools too, right in front of them all, making a very satisfying clang as it hit the ground around them. "Fine. Whatever. Just make sure you don't mess around with it, okay? It's very sensitive," she told them brusquely. She might've been less mouthy and angry overall these days, but Nara could still fire off easily. Especially when confronted by some random guy outta nowhere telling her what she could and couldn't do.

She followed the chief back down, guided with him and his guards, noticing the looks she was getting. Look all you want. Take a picture, it'll last longer, she thought, but she bit it back from her tongue. She was just content to scowl. "Hm? I don't know. He was speaking, so I'm assuming he's fine. I could have gone to check on him if you didn't drag me back down here for... whatever reason."

The room she'd been placed in was quite well decorated. Even in her opinion, it seemed nice. A little too... fur and wood for her liking, but y'know, beggars couldn't be choosers. Unfortunately, it was just coloured through her annoyance at the situation. She stepped in, turning for a second as Grimnir explained what he was going to do.

"In case he attacks?" she repeated, incredulous, before breaking into laughter. "Yeah, yeah, good luck with that one. Lemme know how dangerous he is." Oren was more likely to sit and preach to the Chief before he'd do anything close to violence, but hey, let Chief Know-It-All learn that for himself. She paced towards the bed and slipped on it, sitting as she looked around the room.

They touch my droid or break my ship... well, break it more, they'll be asking for trouble, Nara thought grumpily as her mind cast back to the younger girl, the one with that touch of the Force about her. Hm. Maybe that's why he's not exactly happy to see us. Might think we're after her. Interesting.

Hmm, they get a little while and if I hear nothing soon, I'm going to bust that lock open.

Five minutes went...

Ten minutes went...

After about fifteen minutes of not hearing anything from the chief or from a guard, while also having no idea of how much time has past, given that there were no windows in the room. Even outside of the room in the corridor, came no sound, giving the idea that this room was soundproofed.

However, a sudden rumbling from somewhere in the room caught Nara's ear. It grew louder and louder, which now for certain came from the wall, right of the door. Suddenly a square-formed piece of the wall was pushed open and out popped a familiar head of a certain red-haired girl. Looking around Nova's eyes fell on Nara and smiled, before popping back inside of the hole in the wall, "two seconds!" called Nova. Given that the secret hole was three to four meters above Nara's height, she couldn't exactly look instead and only hear Nova move around.

A bit of commotion sounded from Nova, "ouch!" cursed Nova and showed her head again, rubbing her forehead a bit, giving the sense that she might have hit her head. After a bit of wiggling and twisting, Nova finally manages to get her arms free and finally gets the rest of her body out, landing somewhat gracefully on a carpet.

Nova looked back up at the small ventilation shaft-looking hole, "I would not recommend doing that, no room at all" explained the red-haired girl and looked back at Nara. "Hi, I'm Nova" introduced Nova, having quite the messy hair, spots of sod covering patches of her face and Nara's Lightsaber tugged in her belt.

"We kinda didn't get to meet each other, before my father all went stern chief on you" apologized Nova with a genuine smile, scratching the back of her head. "Don't worry, nothing has happened to your ship or your Jedi dad, my father just asked him a few questions" explained Nova, to reassure Nara, since she was kind of left in the dark.

"I did manage to steal your blade thingy, from my father, without him noticing," said Nova proudly, grinning happily, really showing the dirty spots on her face. Pulling Nara's lightsaber from her belt, Nova looked it over, very curious, "how does it work?" Asked the red-haired girl excited, looking at the design, buttons and unknowingly, turning the blade emitter to face herself.

Nara sat up as soon as she heard the rumbling. She leaped off the bed and stood watching, waiting until she saw that head pop out. She smirked, impressed with the ingenuity. She watched the girl disappear back into the hole and then slip back out, landing in front of her. Dusty, dirty, but right there.

"Hi. Nice to meet you. You always make an entrance like that?" Nara asked with a smirk, listening to her. "Oh, good. I'm sure he's fine, but yeah..." She didn't want to badmouth this girl's dad right in front of her. Goodness knows that she might have punched someone who badmouthed Oren in front of her and she was meant to be a Jedi.

"You sure that won't get you in tr... DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!" she yelled once she saw the emitter facing Nova's face. She reached out quickly, using the Force to snatch it right out of Nova's hand and into her own. The crystal resonated, thudding into her palm in a very satisfying way.

"Just... be careful. You were looking right at the part the plasma comes out of," she said, with a little bit of relief. Still though, her enthusiasm was pretty nice. To reward her, Nara raised the hilt and twisted the dial underneath the emitter. The sapphire-blue blade came out, bathing the room in that light. She waved it gently around in the air, hearing the plasma buzz.

"There's a crystal inside, a crystal that's linked to me. The energy gets channelled through it, gives it this light," she told Nova, before twisting the dial back, letting the saber close. She held it out on her palm, flatly. "It's a lightsaber. Most Jedi have one," she told her, feeling very weird. Remembering having a conversation just like this, a couple of years before. She held it out for Nova to try again.

"So... how long have you been able to use the Force?" Nara asked gently, like it was the most natural thing. There was clearly some potential in the red-head.

The outburst from Nara, made Nova twists a bit in shock, as the lightsaber was pulled to its rightful owner. A short, "Oh," from Nova, "doubt my father would let you guys go if I died" comment the red-haired girl, rubbing the backside of her head with a small smile. When Nara ignited her lightsaber Nova did not exactly jump over-excited as some of the younglings in the Jedi temple might. However, her eyes did shimmer with curiosity as she looked at the humming blade.

"It's a really pretty colour," said Nova, watching Nara wave the blade a few times. "Did you choose your own colour? How many colours are there of those crystals? Do you think I could pick your lightsaber apart and see how each part functioned?" Asked Nova, showing a much more excitement, starting to shower the poor Jedi with questions.

"How is it linked to you? How does that work?" Asked Nova, seemingly having one question after another for Nara to answer, showcasing a rather curious individual, willing to suck in knowledge from Nara. "Really? Do your Jedi parents just give you your lightsaber? Or do you built it yourself?" Asked Nova with yet another question.

Just like Nara did, pulling her hilt to her, so did Nova, reaching out with the force and without touching the hilt, flew the hilt into the hand of Nova. "Hm... for as long as I can remember really, my mom has been teaching me when we had the time," said Nova, eying the hilt in her hand. "My mother has it too, so I guess I've got my powers from her" continued the red-haired girl as she found the ignite button.

Activating the plasma-based blade, the room yet again was filled with sapphire-blue colour yet again. Feeling the hilt in her hand, doing the same thing as Nara, however, more like a stick than a sophisticated weapon. "I've seen another one use these lightsabers, his lightsaber was also blue. A Whiphid, named Kraud, if I remember correctly" she told Nara.

"No, not exactly. There are lots of colours but you kinda... you kinda have to find the one that speaks to you," she admitted, remembering back to her own gathering. The questions came thick and fast. She tried not to act frustrated by all of them, she'd been just as curious once. She took a deep breath.

"Well, you couldn't pick it apart but I can disassemble it. But it'll have to wait, I'm afraid. You have to build one yourself, though you can use any, really. It's generally considered impolite to just take someone else's lightsaber, though." She listened to Nova explaining how she was 'trained' somewhat in the use of the Force.

"Interesting. You're lucky. Not everyone gets that opportunity," she admitted, shrugging a little. She'd never really met Kraud, but she knew of him. Just like she knew of a lot of the Jedi around the Temple. "Have you ever thought about getting properly trained? You know, by other Force users? I'm sure your mother is an excellent teacher, but it's always better to learn from others." She stepped over towards the younger girl, giving her a smile as she watched her move her saber.

"So you've met Jedi before? What did you think of them?"

Nova's eyebrow rose a bit at Nara's comment about the crystal spoke, "speaks? As it, it's alive? Wait, does that mean it's alive and has feelings?" Nova asked in disbelief, looking at the Jedi's lightsaber. "Right, my father doesn't exactly know I've gone to see you" grinned the red-haired girl as if she just has gotten away with something mischievous.

"You're saying I would get to build my own lightsaber?!" Asked Nova excitedly, "I bet I could make the coolest lightsaber ever!" She continued grabbing the hilt with both hands, standing in an attack position. Focus on the lightsaber, imagining she was fighting a monster, while showing little to no form. "Hm?" Asked the red-haired girl, snapping her eyes from the blue humming blade and looked at Nara.

"Properly trained? As in by a Jedi dad or mom?" Asked Nova, still thinking you would get a Jedi dad or mom. "Never really thought about it" she admitted, switching off the blade and handed Nara the hilt back. "I guess it could be pretty fun to be trained by a Jedi," said Nova, now that she thought about it a bit. "I do miss my friend Asaara, she was a student at the temple on Ajan Kloss, she was pretty fun hanging out with" added Nova, facing Nara.

"Would I get to see her, if I got trained by you Jedi people?" Asked Nova curiously, showing a bit of a hoping wish in her eyes. "I don't really have many people of my age here, it does get boring sometimes, even with my shenanigans" she explained, crossing her arms as she leaned up against the wall.

"Both Kraud and Asaara was pretty nice, well Asaara more than Kraud. Kraud acted more like some of the veteran hunters in my village, very old and wise" Explained Nova, "you seem nice, though" she added, holding her eye contact with Nara, giving her a cheerful smile.
