Mass Effect is a big one for me (really pumped for Andromeda in March!).

Skyrim, Fallout, pretty much anything with Bethesda's name on it. You name it and I've probably sunk ridiculous hours into it. The release of Skyrim Special Edition really reminded me how much I love that game. Started playing in October shortly after release, and haven't really stopped. Nothing feels better than just wandering around for hours murdering bandits and dragons.

The Call of Duty franchise is also at the top of my list, but really only the MW titles, especially MW 3. I've also been playing the hell out of MW Remastered as of late. Really takes me back. lol. The more recent offerings haven't really stuck with me though. They just feel... blah. They've replaced solid game mechanics with cheap gimmicks like laser guns and wall running. In my opinion, the series lost a lot of its appeal after Ghosts, if not with Ghosts.

Warhammer 40k is another major go to for me. I loves me that grimdark atmosphere.

Assassin's Creed, I can honestly say I enjoy the story, but I really only liked Black Flag. Mostly because pirates, yo. Nothing beat the feeling of fighting those Legendary ships, and winning. Even though it took me countless hours and who knows how many mulligans to do it. lol

I'm sure there are some I'm neglecting to mention, but those are my top fandoms outside SW.

Bethesda has always made great games. I remember I was super excited about Black Flag, I spent 90$ on the special pre release thing. I loved every minute of playing it. Skyrim was great but I'm a huge fan of all the Elder Scrolls games. It was nice that they finally included dragons. War Hammer is another game I've always wanted to try. I'm into stuff like D&D so it looks really interesting.

Gdi I'm hearing so much about Black Flag I think I'm gonna cave and get it.

Since we're talking about video games: Zelda forever has a place in my heart, Fable, Skyrim, Dragon Age and most recently, Witcher. Sims franchise is a guilty pleasure. :P

Zelda for the old Nintendo was my introduction into video games. I never became a fan of it, but I have nothing negative to say about it either. You should totally get Black Flag. I love the Sid Meier's Pirates! feel it has to it. Yet it is still it's own original game. The story is great and I think it's the best title in the franchise.

I actually loved Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood. I didn't like the first game at all. However, I'll try BF for sure from how much my friends have raved about it.

In terms of stuff I enjoy. Far Cry, Mass effect, Skyrim (sorry proper ES fans, Skyrim's all I've played), been getting into Warhammer 40K recently, Total War also (though f*** me I suck at it lol), Pokemon (as much as it may shame me to admit, sue me I play reborn), assassins creed, played a few of the not new not old Call of Duty's (oh, and the very first one, lol. After that I've only played from MW onwards tho), the list goes on and on in games alone, series I used to watch the Walking dead and arrow, but I barely watch movies or series anymore so Ive fallen behind there af. Not many movies come to mind when I think fandoms to be honest (besides SW ofc), books I have several. The Hunger Games, HP, The maze runner (omg the Scorch trials movie was a disgrace wow), pretty excited for the I am player 1 movie, working through the I am number 4 books, Started the gunslinger (though that's a bit of a work in progress tbh)

In terms of fandoms that I'd say I'm well and truly a part of, on the other hand

  • Star Wars, obviously
  • A Song of Ice and Fire: The books, NOT the series. I picked those up for the first time not all that long ago, but seriously fell in love with them, damn. I've read the main 5 (so far, to my never ending pain) a few times though how many varies widely with each book. I also got my hands on the D&E books, the World of Ice and Fire, and the two short stories (which led me to read some pretty brilliant other short stories contained in the same compilations). The only reason I'd say I'm not truly as much a part of the fandom as I could otherwise have been, is because I have some creative differences with how the main ASoIaF websites are run (as well as some issues with some of the people who run them [coughLindacough])
  • The Naruto fandom, I suppose, deserves a special mention because a Naruto RP site was the first one that I joined, and indirectly lead me here. I've read the manga and watched most of the anime (fillers aside), but I'm not as into that as I used to be, in all honesty.

Edit:: OH, and Deus Ex! Love those games
