Covax wondered into the Nightfall club looking well, like poodoo. He'd been doing a few jobs for the Syndicates and the last one took a bit more then usual out of him. As one might expect when dealing with a planet overrun with AMS infected. That job done, credits in hand, he went to his old stomping grounds to get a much deserves drink. Perhaps get one of his favorite 'entertainers' to take his mind off work for a while.

The towering merc was dressed in his usual casual attire. A black (underarmor style) shirt, utility pants and comfortable boots. Hand cannon strapped to his hip. The merc moved to his favorite table. Giving the server droid a nod and pointing to the table. The droid, without so much as a word, brought over a tall rum and cola in a frosty glass.

"Perfect" he told the droid. Taking a drink before tossing a few credits to the droid.

Freedom was not what Kenrik had anticipated it to be. After escaping Kessel, the Feeorin had managed to make his way around the galaxy but ultimately, Hutt space was where the pull was strongest. It was there that he could disappear into the throngs of civilization and exist in anonymity. It was there he could begin to find just who he was, who he was always meant to be. Unfortunately, who he was meant to be seemed to be tied to who he always was.

“Hundred credits, take it or leave it kid,” the Feeorin stated plainly as he picked up his glass of water and took a sip. The young Rodian sitting across from him frowned as he held his left elbow tightly, a slight shake in his arm.

“Yea, alright, whatever man. I’ll take it. That shit is worth the price,” he replied before digging into his pocket and pulling the cred out. Keeping the money tight in his hand, he slid it across the table next to Kenrik’s arm and let the chips fall onto the table while remaining out of sight of the bar’s bouncers. With a grunt of acknowledgement, the Feeorin leaned backwards to feign a stretch, dropping his left hand down to his cloak’s pocket and plucking a small bag from within. Returning to his original posture, his hand would extend under the table and be met by the Rodian’s as the boy removed the baggie of spice.

“Plenty more where that came from. If you or your friends need more, I’ll be here all night,” Kenrik grunted. “Just be careful with it. It’s more potent than you think,” he added the warning but in truth, he did not care what became of the boy so long as he had the money for more.

“Yea, sure thing boss! Thanks man, I really appreciate this!” the rodian stammered as he stood from the table and began to make his way to the refresher. Kenrik would watch him go, gritting his teeth as he did so. Junkies like him, so obvious… Standing from the table, the Feeorin retrieved his glass of water and his cloak before making his way towards the bar. Dealers were a frequent occurrence in Nightfall but he did not need to be seen stepping on anyone’s toes. Yet as he neared the counter, a burly looking man sat alone in a booth caught his attention. He looked exhausted, burned out from whatever it was he did with his day. Perhaps another customer?

Kenrik decided to take his chances and approached the table, glass of water in his right hand and cloak draped across his same forearm.

“Rough day, spacer?” Kenrik would ask of the man in monotone before motioning to the seat opposite him. “Plenty of ways in Nightfall to alleviate the stress of life. Mind if I join you?”

The funny thing about living a working on a world full of crime and scum, you hardly notice things like drug deals going on around you. Or perhaps it was the young woman dancing on a pole across from him that had his attention. In any case he had no clue of Feeroin's actions.

So when the stranger appeared before him, Covax looked a little confused. However not so much as to not move his hand to his pistol. Which he did. "You could say that," the merc replied. Taking another drink from his glass, he sized up the other man. Normally Covax would of told this dude to take a flying leap, or perhaps sent him on that lep.

However after the day he had perhaps he would put up with the man for the moment. Covax took his from the handle of his gun and motioned to the other side of the bench seat on the other side of the table. "Plenty indeed, and I've watched the patrons here do most of them." He replied.

Finishing the first drink he gave a nod to the same nearby droid and showed her the empty glass. "You ?" he asked simply to see if the man wanted to join him.

Kenrik, his expression blank, watched as Covax’ hand moved to the blaster on his hip and it didn’t take him long to surmise that this man was of a more dangerous variety than could usually be found in Nightfall. He was armed as well, the weight of his new BW-713 strapped to his own hip suddenly feeling much heavier, but he was unfamiliar with its use. Sure, he could point and pull a trigger. He was no skilled gunman however so when the man moved his hand away and motioned for Kenrik to join him, he couldn’t deny the sense of relief that washed over him.

Placing his cloak on the bench beside where he would set himself down, Kenrik proceeded to put his glass of water on the table before him. He needed to feel this character out, see what it was that made him tick. Otherwise he could well be inviting a blaster burn to his chest if he made his move too soon.

”Thank you, but no,” Kenrik replied as Covax offered to order him a beverage. ”I don’t drink. I prefer having a clear mind, especially in places such as this,” The Feeorin would tap the rim of his glass of water to further the point. ”My name is Kenrik Rollo. You are…?” The Feeorin waited for his response then would extend his hand across the table, carefully sizing up what sort of man this was.

The droid brought the towering merc a fresh drink and Covax gave a please sigh. With a side glace he could see the weapon on the other man's hip. It didn't bother him. The fact that this man didn't even think to go move for his told the human a lot. It told him that this man knew to carry a weapon in his line of business but that he knew less about how to use the damn thing then a particular cute Tagrutan the former soldier had recently met.

"A little odd but smart to those in your line of work. Especially given where we are sitting." The human mused. He took a drink from the glass. "Mmm, Covax."he replied to the next question. "You're not from around here are you Rollo, I mean not really a regular?" Covax knew the answer because he himself practically lived here up until recently. Even worked the door and the kitchen so he knew the regulars. Not by name sure, but by face and tentacle. He took a drink and waited with amusement for the man's answer.

The Feeorin cracked an eyebrow as Covax made mention of ‘his line of work’. Perhaps he had noticed the transaction that had taken place moments ago? Replaying his approach in his mind, Kenrik recalled the mercenary being focused on the dancer across the room. Regardless, he would maintain that caution was his greatest ally in the moment.

”New to Nar Shaddaa as a whole, I’m afraid,” Kenrik responded, repositioning himself on the bench. For such a place, the chairs were far from comfortable. Or perhaps he had simply spent too much time sitting this evening. The Feeorin was used to being on the move, only resting on the rare occasions when the Slave Masters decided they had earned a break. ”I’ve been travelling the galaxy in search of work, making the odd credit here and there to get me by. The life of a wanderer has been rewarding enough,” Pausing to take a sip of water, the Feeorin would replace the glass on the table and continued to speak.

”I meant it when I mentioned you look exhausted, Covax. Tell me, what is it that you do? A man such as yourself, armed with a weapon such as that? You must have a great many tales of combat and glory,” Kenrik’s tone would not reflect his interest, remaining rather droll partnered with a plain expression. He was intrigued to know more, however. A man with a rough history was often a good sign for possible clientele for his merchandise and while he remained unsure of whether or not he would be able to make a deal with this mercenary, it never hurt to have large friends.

The merc could see the wheels turning in the alien's head. Confused, possibly a little worried. The slight tremor of fear, the fleeting moment that is was, passed. Kenrik returned to his more cautious careful self and quickly respond to the merc's question.

The dude was a little boring for Covax's taste. But that could be because he was getting to used to hanging around assholes like Aska and that Sith... what was his name, Art. In any case the feeorin quickly turned the conversation back to Covax. The former soldier huffed, then sighed, and finally took a drink from his glass. Then returned the glass the table before replying.

"I was a grunt for the Free Worlds for a few years. After my commission I took a job working security for a tech firm with an office here on the Hutt moon. Then the AMS happened." Covax was careful not to mention Blackwell by name or the events following the outbreak. One for security reasons, and the other because he feel like gutting the man for his fake sympathy over his family. "No tales of glory here. Just a man with a gun." Taking another drink, he swallowed. Enough dancing. "Ok enough foreplay. What're you selling?"

Covax was blunt and to the point, which Kenrik could respect. It seemed he had played cat and mouse with the merc for too long. It was time to get to the point. The corner of his mouth curling upwards, the Feeorin panned his attention around the ensure no one was watching before reaching his left hand into his cloak and removing a small vile with an orange-ruby colored substance within. Keeping it in a closed hand, Kenrik placed his hand on the table’s surface and pushed it along towards the merc opposite him. He was taking a dangerous chance here, offering a stranger with a gun such a… gift. Such was life, however. Ever since his escape from Kessel, his entire life was based on taking chances.

”Something that would bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. I can guarantee it’s of the highest quality. Made it myself,” Still keeping the vile tight in his hand, the Feeorin scanned the crowd a second time before quietly knocking his knuckles on the table to indicate he wanted Covax to take what it was he had for him.

As he was doing this, Kenrik’s right hand would move closer to the blaster on his hip. He had absolutely no intention on using the weapon unless he was forced too, of course, but better safe than sorry...

Covax hated this cloak and dagger shit. Either this dude recently got out or he was on the run. But the merc managed to finish his drink in the time it took Kenrik to present Covax with his....gift. The towering human took the vile and looked it over, the one one might look over a priceless stone. Or in Covax's normal case, a new gun.

"You really need to work on that sales pitch. Also, if you don't take your hand off that handle I'm going to take it from you and beat you to death with it."

Covax gave the vile another hard look. He was not normally a man to do drug but this last mission to an over run zombie world had indeed taxed him. It brought back memories he didn't want. If this helped he might be back for more. Standing he placed the vile in his pocket and took about a hundred credits out of the same pocket. Tossed them to the table and walked away without another word.

//End Thread.
