Perhaps a Celegian crime lord? With it's weak body and impressive intellect, Celegians would be the perfect head of a crime organisation, and they would be forced to delve into mercenary and bounty hiring and such. It could be quite fun to roleplay such a physically inept race as a Celegian.

I would find it most pleasing to the balance of the site to be a character that works openly, as well as of the shoadows, much like a Faleen corporate owner or some such

A Knight would be satisfying enough, we cannot just suddenly have masters pop up out of nowhere, all the new members would be in an uproar complaining how they had to start from a padawan state. You can start off as a Knight, then pretty soon, if deemed you're super active, and have begun training a bit, you'll be promoted.
