DESCRIPTION​

A newer product from the legendary company, though still quite rare. The Westar-55 was put into mass production only around 20 years ago but its sales didn't do as good as their other products like the infamous Westar-35 used by the Mandalorian people extensively for many decades. A big part of the reason for that is the fact that it is a handful to wield. It's heavy, bigger than most pistols on the market, and while the weight and size aids in the recoil, it's still hard to control. It's also quite expensive, so getting one's hands on only one of these, let alone two, is a bit of a trick.

Though what gives it an edge over other heavy pistols on the market is its stun setting and versatility. Many heavy blasters have the capability to tear a new backside into a Bantha, but not many have the capability to stun a target. And on top of that, this pistol features many attachment points all over it to allow the wielder to turn it into a pistol that suits their needs to the fullest. It can accept scopes, ascension mounts, and various other official, unofficial and even downright illegal modifications. One might be able to find some interesting conversions in the small community around this pistol.

This weapon made a niche market for itself under scoundrels, soldiers and bounty hunters alike.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Ownership of heavy blaster pistols without extensive certification and licensing is considered unlawful in many parts of the Galaxy. Carrying one openly is a good way to get extra police scrutiny on more civilized world, although it might make a good deterrent on less civilized ones.

INTENT​

To create a heavy blaster with a stun setting, as well as a lesser known, chunkier pistol for bigger characters and gunslingers to wield.

RESTRICTIONS​

While not incredibly rare, it is still a bit difficult to find one. The price tag attached to this weapon also doesn't make it easy for the common smuggler or drifter to get their hands on one.
