The stars were shining in the black empty space, through which a huge public transporter ship was cruising. There were private quarters on the ship for every passenger and there was a cantina. It had enough for the people onboard the ship to relax and to have a nice journey.

Onboard that huge public transporter ship, a young nautolan was sitting in the cantina which the ship included. He had ordered some ale and some food and was eating and drinking it.

The nautolan was named Caleb Kansi, and he was a mercenary. He had a blaster in its holster and he wore a black leather jacket, a grey shirt underneath, brown pants and black boots. He carried a pack with him in which he had some medical supplies, just in case, and ammo for his blaster as well as a lightsaber. Though he was not able to use the lightsaber, he kept it with him in memory of his fallen brother, who was a jedi. Caleb never thought of using the lightsaber in combat, because he was most likely to cut off his own limbs rather than the enemy's. Besides, Caleb was an aweful swordsman, but a very good marksman.

As the nautolan was looking at people leaving and entering the cantina, he thought of his mission. The ship he was on was cruising to Ord Vaxal, and Caleb had a job to do on the planet.

Just when he stood up to walk back to his quarters, he heard a loud bang and the ship started to shake. In a reflex he pulled out his blaster, but then figured he had no need for his blaster, yet. He put it away and tried to see what was going on. Then a voice sounded through the intercom:
"Ladies and gentleman! We've been attacked by pirates. Don't panic!"

Caleb frowned and thought: What the hell? Attacked by pirates? Hell these people've got reason to panic now!

And the other passengers did panic. A few moments later the voice sounded through the intercom again: "Ladies and gentleman, prepare for an emergancy landing!"

In other words... we're gonna crash... Caleb thought.

The ship reached Ord Vaxal's atmosphere and crashed moments later upon its surface, in the Polar Tundra region.

The hatch of the ship opened and Caleb climbed out of the ship. He did not care to look for survivors but decided to get out himself, before the pirates would land nearby and kill off every survivor including himself.

He fell out of the ship into the snow and could feel a headache, burning in his head. He quickly opened his pack to see if all his belongings were still there. They were.

He then got up and moved, a bit dizzy, towards a small group of trees, where he could hide and recover, before embarking on the journey to Tof Soren, the capital of the planet. If there were any survivors, he hoped they would do the same and also would go to the trees, so he had some companions for the journey.

The moment the shaking began BelleBlair Grabbed onto the nearest support. Her Lekku quaked beneath their restraints, sending a small laugh from the mouth of her new acquaintance, a wealthy human from an outer planet.

“Little turbulence.” he announced looking about for agreement.

Ord Vaxal wasn’t the favorite word to slip off her tongue but it was where she was headed and delay would only make her reasons more dire. Once again Mullen had gotten himself into trouble, the dealer of deaths sticks and dilemmas had landed himself right in the hands of hutts and into the world’s pit, Tof Soren. The twi’lek could not deny a call to her brother’s aid- but she permitted herself a bit of reluctance.

“I had better get back-” The lady of gray began when the ship’s pilot made the horrific announcement.

Panic sent the irrational into full blown mayhem as the passengers began to race about.

BelleBlair herself was knocked about by wayward bodies before she braced for the impact.

“…this is it-” She felt her feet slide out beneath her as she grabbed for anything firm to slow her. Quickly securing the chin strap of her eared cap (as if would do any good) she only succeeded in blinding herself as it slid down her forehead obscuring her view. The holster of her gun dug into her thigh as the vessel hit the planet and all was dark.

Emerging from the nearest hatch, the young Twi’lek let her body hit the frozen ground as she pulled from the wreckage.

She lay on her back for a moment, staring up at the sky with mistrust. She was thankful to still have air in her lungs, but her body bore the burden.

Attempting to sit up, she fell back twice before resting on her elbows- Her legs seemed to be in shock. Her clean black leggings were scuffed and torn.

With a third, then a fourth try she stood on bloody knees, suddenly clasping her ribs in agony. Opening her coat and peeling up the sleeveless white top that ended just at her rib cage's ridge she examined a large purple bruise taking form.

It was bitterly cold.

Her olive colored eyes narrowed at the biting temperature and her full lips pouted as she spotted a figure in the distance.

Hugging her pale, from fitting coat to her, she walked lamely to the trees, hoping to meet an ally rather then the pirates who were sure to arrive.

“Hey!” she called.

“Hey!”

Caleb stood still and pulled his blaster out of the holster and aimed it into the direction where the voice came from. When he saw a Twi'lek girl he figured she was not an enemy. Besides, the pirates had not even landed yet. Caleb was only getting a little paranoid.

He then shouted back: "Quick! Get over here! Those damn pirates will be here soon!"

As the distance closed between them, BelleBlair quickened her pace.

“The ship-!” She instinctively raised her hands and silenced at the sight of his blaster.

Her face was striking and beautiful, but blemished with a fresh wound across her cheek.

She settled after his reply and came to his side, panting and grasping her flank.

He was a nautolan, she hadn’t expected that. With her gloved hands on her knees she caught her breath.

“I….am …BelleBlair.” She said between pants.

“I was on board- In the halls-” she paused and adjusted her posture to perfection.

Caleb quickly put his blaster away and stepped forward to help her, as he reached out his hands. Well, Belle seems to be a perfect name for her. he thought.

"Come, let me help ya. We'd better hide quickly and recover a bit, and then get our asses outta here as fast as our legs can carry us. I'm Caleb Kansi, by the way."

His sudden motion made the Twi’lek flinch but she accepted with gratitude- granting him a small lop sided smile through her concealed distress.

“Thank you Caleb Kansi.” She said, softly parting her lips.

“I think that would be a good idea….” And with that she headed for cover.

He also moved towards the cover of the trees and then sighed. "Kinda rough, ain't it." he commented on the crash landing. "Haven't experienced a crash landing before. Then again, I've never been shot down by pirates before either." he smiled faintly, but he did not think it was funny at all.

He looked at BelleBlair. "You ok?" he asked. He saw the wound on her face and her bloody knees. He quickly opened up his pack and grabbed his medpack out of it. "Here, this might help ya." he said and he opened up the box. "If ye don't mind, I'll treat your wounds a bit. Otherwise ye can do it yourself." he said. Concern could be heard in his way of speaking.

BelleBlair dropped to her bottom with a sigh. She shut her eye lids, letting their dark lashes kiss her skin.

“I hardly set foot off of Coruscant for just this reason.” She laughed politely.

“Well…not just this reason. I suppose they must’ve had something on board of value…”

She looked to the leather clad nautolan with pleading eyes.

“I’ll be alright. Just a bit shaken.” she said, silently imploring his help.

“Do you think there are any others?” she added looking up into the canopy of trees as if it held clues.

"Probably a few survivors..." Caleb said as he started to treated the girl's wounds. He started with her cheek, very gentle and easy.

When he finished some time later he said, after remaining silent the whole time, so he could concentrate on treating her wounds: "Don't think it's much of use to get back there and search for any survivors. Those bloody pirates will land sooner or later and ye don't wanna get caught by them. Anyway, you're wounds are cleaned and treated."

It took Caleb a while to fix up her wounds and they were not fully healed yet. He had some bandages around her knees. He looked around and found a branch of a tree lying on the ground. Probably fallen of in a storm or something. He grabbed it and handed it to her. "Here, ye can use it as a walking stick or something like that... If ye want to." he smiled like only nautolan's could and showed her he really wanted to help her.

The Twi’lek shut her eyes as Caleb wiped her cheek gently, the sting made her Lekku shudder- their muzzles cut off the action quickly.

“But what if they’re trapped inside!” she said with alarm.

There were so many people on board, could they all have been lost?

She knew he was right- that they wouldn’t stand a chance against a pirate crew, but she felt an ache in her chest for all the passengers unaccounted for.

Gazing down at her knees gloomily she thanked him, resting her face in her palm.

“I was on my way to Tof Soren” She said solemnly.

“How far do you think we’re off…?”

His smile was reassuring, she returned it with a bit of color rushing to her cheeks.

"Uh... pretty far." he answered, smiling. "I'm on my way to Tof Soren as well, but this is my first time on Ord Vaxal, so I really don't know how to get to Tof Soren." He stopped smiling and sighed. He looked down at his feet and said: "Guess we're kinda lost..."

Then suddenly a noise was heard and Caleb looked up. He quickly let himself fall to the ground and grabbed his pack. He put the medpack back into it and then grabbed his blaster pistol. He motioned to BelleBlair to get down as well and then pointed with his left hand (he held his blaster in his right), at the ship that was landing a few metres away from the shipwreck. It was the pirate ship.

A group of men stepped out and walked over to the shipwreck. They were armed with heavy blasters and one even had a repeater. They all seemed to carry swords as well.

"Damn it." Caleb whispered, just loud enough for BelleBlair to hear him. "The pirates. Stay hidden and don't make a sound, until they're gone."

They were both new to the planet and that complicated matters- if that was even possible.

BelleBlair lay flat as Caleb warned and she drew her own pistol, ready and waiting with her trigger finger tense.

She stared as the craft landed and the brutish men departed. She was glad to be distanced from them, but alert of the danger their presence commanded.

As the pirates approached the ship she turned away, just briefly before forcing herself to look once more.

They were heavily armed. On her own she wouldn’t have stood a chance- even with a large group she doubted security from their artillery but she was glad to have someone by her side.

She waited with her heart in her mouth, watching the bandits take their prize.

Caleb felt the tention and the fear of being discovered. His finger rested on the trigger of his gun and he kept watching the group. He thought he could scare them off with the lightsaber he kept in his pack, though he could not use the lightsaber to deal actual damage. It was very risky, so Caleb dropped the idea and decided to just wait.

After moments of tention, the pirates finally got out of the ship. A few survivors came out as well, now prisoners of the ruthless pirates. They were chained up to each other and were led to the pirate ship. A few other pirates came out of the ship carrying some kind of chest.

Caleb did not know what was in it, but it was probably what the pirates came for in the first place. Finally they boarded their ship and then took off, leaving a twi'lek and a nautolan behind.

"Damn! Damn! Damn!" Caleb shouted when the pirates were gone and he smashed with his fist on the ground. He then stood up and swung his pack over his shoulder.

"I'm sorry..." he apologized. He sighed and put his blaster back in the holster and then looked over to BelleBlair. "Alright..." he said. "What do we do now..."

BelleBlair jumped back from the unexpected outburst. Though in her mind she was doing the same action.

“We’re stranded.” She said, tucking away her blaster.

“Whatever they wanted, they got it.” She said as she rose, patting cold ground from the back of her pants and adjusting her gloves. She doubted the threat would return but it was certain new ones would arise.

She Flashed her companion a grave expression.

“We need to find shelter…” she took a hold of each brain tail and tightened their sleeves with a small sound of discomfort as the circulation was cut off snugly.

“I have a feeling its about to get a lot colder.”

"It's gonna get a lot colder indeed." Caleb said.

He looked around but saw no possible shelter until... he laid eyes on the shipwreck.

"Uhm, it might be kinda aweful to look inside there, but... I don't think we've got much choice. Better hide in there and hope we'll survive..."

"What do you think?"
he asked, figuring her opinion counted as well.

BelleBlair had a spark of realization- though the thought of entering back into the wreckage they were so recently born from made her uneasy, it was not only the clear the choice- but within in it might house the
information they could use! Surely the coordinates could be accessed. They might find clues to point them in the capital’s direction.

“I think-” She began.

“I think you should go first…”

She would follow the Caleb- but her bravery would linger behind.

On most accounts she would pride herself on being described as "dauntless", but the frozen tundra and the ghostly ruin of their voyage left her shivering.

Caleb nodded. "Very well." he said.

He then walked over towards the hatch, which was still open, and climbed into the shipwreck. He looked around and saw some bodies. Blood splatters on the walls and more disgusting things.

He walked further into the ship.

"We gotta reach the bridge." he said to BelleBlair.

"There's probably some info on getting to the capital." he said like he had read BelleBlair's mind, but of course, reading minds was way out of his league. "Then we'll try to find a spot which is comfortable enough to rest. Maybe my old quarters, we could check that out... If you don't mind. Hopefully they're still accesible."

“OH!” Belleblair exclaimed, clapping a hand over her mouth at the sight and sensations of the gore.

She felt faint, leaning on the hatch way and averting her gaze.

Calming herself she stepped forward, only to gaze down and see a bloody pulp beneath her boot- she clung to Caleb’s back as a reflex. The contact was but a moment before she regained her composure and pulled back humiliated.

“your quarters…” She mused, drawing a hand to her lips and peering about nervously.

It was so much worse then she imagined. The smell of iron filled her with dread. She was hesitant. It was against her nature to be untrusting but the thought of being secluded and helpless if he were to turn on her was a realistic concern. She resolved there was nothing fear, he seemed like a good man.
Suddenly she turned with a jolt as the craft creaked.

Clasping her bosom she sighed with relief as nothing rose to surprise her.

“To the bridge then….” she said gently pushing Caleb along.

Caleb made his way to the bridge, assuming BelleBlair would follow.

When they finally reached the bridge he saw the damage. The front window was broken and there were a lot of bodies lying around. Most computers were broken but a few were still intact.

Caleb quickly moved over to one of the computers and pressed a few buttons. Luckily, there was no password set to the computers and he could easily dig up the information he needed.

"Here!" he said. "The coordinates."

It took him some time to find them, but finally he did. He grabbed his datapad and connected it to the computer. He downloaded the coordinates and when the downloading was complete, he put the datapad back in his pack.

"Very well." he said with a nautolan smile. "Got them."

He then looked around the bridge and his smile was gone. "Let's get outta here... Quick." he said.

He moved towards the exit of the bridge and made his way to where his quarters were supposed to be.

The hallway was wrecked and the door to his quarters was wrecked as well. The panel to open it, on the wall, was broken.

"Damn it." Caleb said.
He stepped back and kicked against the door, but it did not open up.

"Oh great... It's stuck." he said. "The reason I wanna go to my quarters is cuz there're no bodies in there and it's warmer... At least I hope so, but the door's stuck..."

With that BelleBlair lifted her pistol with little warning and shot three rounds into the doors weak points-where it was secured - In the hopes the armor piercing rounds would do the trick to dislodge it.

She was desperate. The ship’s gore and blood soaked walls were catering to her own personal phobias and being driven inside the house of horror’s would make her mad if it was all for naught. She bit her lip with tension.
