ooc: Open to the Jedi and their allies
Starlight Beacon was done. Refugees from the planet of Ithor had been moved in and the cityscape within the station was finally a buzz with life. Leon had watched the whole thing happen and now as he stood on the vista of the Station’s freshly refurbished Jedi Temple, he couldn’t help but feel a tinge of pride and… a tinge of sadness.
Sitting here looking down on the Jedi quarter he couldn’t help but feel like this moment spoke more to his emotional state than anything else. As a padawan he’d been lucky enough to be surrounded by friends that believed in him as much as he had them, but they’d been pulled in different directions as well. He looked down at his blastvest. The “S” patch he’d jokingly sewed on was frayed and tattered, barely clinging to his chest at this point.
Leon pulled the patch off.
This didn’t have to feel like an ending. He still had work to do, but it was time for him to stand on his own. To keep pushing out into the galaxy and help reestablish what the Jedi had been during the time of Luke Skywalker’s Order. His normally flippant expression was hardened by the resolve he felt in his gut. He would complete Tolan Kor’s challenge. He’d do what even a Grandmaster of the Order couldn’t manage, granted he still wasn’t like 100% sure what that was, but that wasn’t important right now! He was amped.
The pitter patter of tiny metallic feet across the stone floor of the roof caught his attention. He turned to see Peetwo trotting over excitedly. A smile spread across his face, “Are they here?”
Peetwo’s little happy dance confirmed they were.
“Well, what in the hell are we waiting for, we have a party to throw, little dude.”
The main foyer was decked out for the celebration. Food and drink was flowing. Yes, there was alcohol. No, kids weren't allowed to drink, but he wasn’t playing nanny Jedi tonight. Leon was standing off to the side of the stage waiting for his queue. He was dressed in Adumari fashion and probably wearing the closest thing to robes he’d ever manage. As the room began to fill with people Leon gave the band the signal and the music started.
He’d let everyone settle in before he had to give a speech. Why he’d been asked, he’d never know, last time he’d been asked to be the talker he and his friends had ended up on Mortis and he still wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not.
