When the timeline began, Mars was faction leader. The torch was transitioned to Radzkie, who in return sent it to Zach. Each has made their impact on the Chiss Ascendency and we shall not forget the work they put into it. Most recently, Zach has worked hard to keep the Chiss Ascendency running, leading in stabilizing our boarders and other affairs. Most recently, in collaboration with myself and Radzkie, he began a campaign to reel in Independent Factions, in which the pinnacle is A Meeting of Galactic Proportions (I will return to this shortly).

Unfortunately, as mentioned here, Zach has real life issues and has decided to step down as Chiss faction leader. Zach has left us a marvelous legacy and we shall miss him, hoping his life gets better soon. Good luck, Zach, and may your future be brighter. As Zach's chosen successor, as shown here, I will do my best to keep Zach's will and legacy alive, for an age of prosperity for the Chiss Ascendency.

For clarification, I'll detail the IC actions between this transition of power (as seen with Trap at Lehon, I'm one for clarifying transitions, such as the Judicar-Exodeus and Peller-Rouge). The groundwork is already in place. As shown here, and clarified here, Zach always planned to have Kodo'ran'nuruodo (Dorann) step down as Grand Imperator, having another of his characters replace him eventually, possibly Arch'aza'cnuruodo (Hazac/Darth Vendis). Rather than Hazac raise as Grand Imperator, the new Grand Imperator to succeed Dorann will be Hazac's twin sister and cousin of ex. Grand Imperator Arch'ao'nuruodo[1][2], Arch'elie'lia, or known by her core name, Heliel, previously the Director of CAIN. Directorship of CAIN has not been determined, though is likely to go to either the 2nd-in-command (Black Noise) or 3rd-in-command. Her inauguration ICly will be done later this week; the thread will be open to all.

Prior to Zach's resignation, Black Noise and I worked as Assistant Faction Leaders for the Chiss to help manage the faction and keep things running smoothing. It is with great pride that I announce that Black Noise has decided to stay with the Chiss echelon and shall be the 2nd-in-command still; his main Chiss is Tactical Commander Derro'an'nuruodo (Roann). The 3rd-in-command has yet to be chosen, and will hopefully be announced before the end of the week, but I am making sure the best person for the job is given the post; as some of you may remember, I rushed when I was Imperial Knights Faction Leader and it disasterously led to Syn becoming 3rd-in-command (and later FL after Rouge's death and DeathToll's resignation).

The Chiss will be having some work done. I'll be updating the roster; it has been kept update for the most part, so not much will be needed, so I likely won't do a roll call, as roll calls tend to substitute for a lack of factions keeping up on track on who is still active; however, if you feel like certain areas need updating, such as wrong rank or misspelling, please send me a VM or PM. Thank you. Also, people are free to apply for a promotion, though I make no promises. If a post remains open slots on the Council of Eminisce, a special application thread will be posted for those to apply; this will not be closed to only Chiss writers, though Chiss writers will have an obvious advantage to a degree.

Chiss echelon reviews got shadowed by the Imperium echelon reviews, so I would like people to look to the Echelon Reviews found here and fill them out if you get the chance, so that Black Noise and I know what to improve and Zach can reflect on his time as a wonderful faction leader for this community. Reviews are not limited to Chiss writers only. Now for what's coming up...

War against the New Sith Imperium!

Just kidding. Relations with the Sith Imperium will be kept... for now. Not only that, but we will be continuing fostering relations with others, such as A Meeting of Galactic Proportions (see here for the OOC thread). A more privatized and detailed meeting will commence afterwards between the Chiss and the Galactic Alliance (with GABA as the representative). So far GLF, Imperial Knights, Mandalorians, and Galactic Alliance have shown up. I would like to clarify that this is for all factions, with a stress towards Independent factions. Any Independent Faction that wishes to join my post a notice of participation in the OOC thread and post in the IC thread at their convenience. I will be putting another reminder to Indies Wednesday, and I will be posting Heliel again this weekend (though people will be allowed to join the meeting even after that point). I have also renewed the call for mercenaries, found here. Also, a reminder that the Chiss is calling for any Force users dissatisfied with their current condition to come to us, who will not discriminate nor throw you to the wolves like others have done; see here for more details.

At the current time, the Chiss Ascendency has not declared war on the Galactic Alliance (or the Mandalorians, back when they enemies of the 'Axis of Evil'). No immediate plans are in place for that situation to change anytime. For now, we will be focusing on securing our boarder, securing alliances with others, and other matters. Feel free to carry out missions, thread found here; Black Noise in fact has been in the process of working on new missions. Also, the Imperium has started a new campaign against NPC enemy Empire Liberation Front called Operation Elf-Arrow. Though Lupe has taken the Chiss slot for #4 The Elf's Sign, as shown here, there are other missions in which Chiss may participate, shown here.

Another plot being considered is a skirmish on Yashuvhu, involving Chiss fighting Yashuvhu separatists loyal to Skeith Lunimaster Tal Valan, a NPC first introduced in the Invasion of Yashuvhu. Any Chiss will be welcome to participate. More details to come.

At the current time, there really isn't a place to train, past a simulator, and that's rarely used, regardless of faction. I'll be working with the admins to add a training subboard (along with some other maintenance) over the next week or two. A thread may show up over the next couple days to allow people to discuss where they would like to see training take place ICly; choices will be free discussion, with a poll created afterwards when a good amount of people have commented. The training subboard will be for military and Immortal personnel use, along with others if they so wish. I will also be adding an index (link to be added when created) for the Chiss board so finding things will be easier to do. Other threads, like Government and Society, and Technology, will be receiving some work done as well. A newsletter will go out at the end of the month detailing all changes made and future changes that will be made, along other details.

It's been a while, but I thought it would be best to address it just in case for those who are unsure or do not know. The Imperial Knights have already been transferred to their secure facility where they shall remain, unless otherwise negotiated. I believe the Chiss and Imperial Knights plan to have a privatized meeting take place after A Meeting of Galactic Proportions.

I have attempted to strike on all available points, though I no doubt forgot something or other, so feel free to mention anything I have forgotten. I look forward to working with everyone and hope to uphold Zach's legacy and lead to a prosperous future. After all, only can we advance by building upon the legacies of the past. Never forget the work of those before us, so I would like to congratulate Zach (along with Mars and Radzkie) for the hard work they put into this faction that will allow us to build off their sweat, blood, and tears to mold a twilight of excellent and enjoyability.

To the bright future and remembrance of our forefathers,

Weiss,

Grand Imperator
