I noticed a lot of bigger factions did this and I've been meaning to do it myself for awhile, but I've been able to get away with some base updates on the OOC for a good while so I said whatever. Still I wanted to start as a great deal has already happened and even more is coming starting of course with the announcement of a
NEW SUBBOARD[/hr]
Yes we have a subboard and if you didn't notice that already I have no idea how you got here or are reading this. This subboard will help me organize Ranger information, build on Zonju V and Ranger lore, allow y'all to rp within the board in Base threads so you can have more personalized social threads, and help me in what I hope to be aggressive expansion onto several worlds while acquiring a lot more cool stuff
Ultimately the subboard demands responsibility with what it gives. We're a prominent faction so we all have to do our best to show them what Rangers can do. I don't fear for a second that we won't of course because you guys have done nothing but impress me so far!
New members and Roster policy[/hr]
In this last month alone 7 new characters have joined us and the Waste Ranger has grown to twenty one characters total.
I couldn't be more happy about that growth and the fact that though we have so many we almost have ninety percent activity with everyone posting in a mission, a social thread, or helping in some other aspect. To keep that up and to keep our numbers clear I will be conducting regular roster purges from those that straight up vanish without a word for two weeks or more. This of course will never happen to any members who tell me or create a personal notification thread stating why they must leave the site for a time.
When I purge the roster I take all removed characters and put them in a word document, so if you return and see you are no longer on the roster you can tell me and I'll slap you right back on. Three strikes policy though, if you keep leaving without a word for weeks on end I'll just tell ya you can rp elsewhere because it's rude frankly.
Mission completions[/hr]
Rangers don't have a promotion system as we're all independent types who don't take orders from anyone but our hearts. While I can't congratulate members on promotions I can certainly praise them for completing a job important to the rangers so I'll be doing that every newsletter
Hiro and Hal Ninguno were nearly captured by the dreaded shipkiller 'The Whisper'. Luckily they were able to keep the boarders at bay long enough for some unexpected help to take the ship led by the young amnesiac light saber wielding girl Mire Cloudchaser. Once they took the ship Hiro convinced Mire, her two Twi'lek companions, and her Wookie bodyguard to join the Rangers.
This mission brought in fifty thousand credits for scrapping the ship as well as two wonder bartender and dancers to thanks to all involved!
On Terminus a single hacker nearly crippled the economy and started a riot that almost consumed an entire city. This was luckily prevented by the brave and wily Rangers Sarith Zarmer and Dorax . They were sent to bring the hacker, Para 'Slamma Jamma' Arin to justice and in a way they did.
After capturing miss Para from the hands of terrorists taking advantage of the economic crisis she caused, Sarith and Dorax convinced the young woman to undue the harm she did as well as reacquire some illicitly held funds for Ranger use. After that rather than face prison time Para opted to join the Rangers where she works in cyber security by day and DJ by night
This thread got the Rangers fifty thousand credits and a sweet NPC so great job guys!
Meanwhile back on Zonju V the Federated Republic, a defunct government that once held the city, was suffering. Hiro and Sarith Zarmer came across a group of its soldiers and citizens barely surviving in the wastes and offered to house them. At that moment one of the Republics Captains made contact stating she was barely alive and being hunted in the city. The group led by Hiro, Sarith, and Lietenant Daniels boldly rode into the city to rescue her.
With speed, quick thinking, and some impromptu blood donation, Captain Harrassi of the Federated Republic was rescued in the nick of time and she and Lieutenant Daniels are now organizing a way to get the rest of their people out of the city and into the safety of the Ranger Saloon
We gained 45 Federated Soldiers as well as Lieutenant Daniels and Captain Harrassi in this thread so great job guys!
Also on Zonju V a newer ranger Jerk 'Brock' Odir decided to take up the task of capturing Summer Bugs for our resident inventor Archimedes. Archimedes is happy to announce the bugs came in nice and unharmed and has even begun breeding them.
We now have thirty summer bugs thanks to 'Brocks' efforts so give him a congratulatory face punch when you see him
Lastly on Zonju V Hiro took down a villanous blind woman who excecuted hundreds of civillians from the destroyed Federated Republic in order to use their bounties to help her own people. While her cause was noble, her actions were abhorrent and as the say the path to hell is paved with good intentions. Hiro begrudgingly ended her life with the help of Ross and took ger bounty
Five thousand credits came from this so excellent work me!
Goals for the future[/hr]
So lastly I'll mention some goals I have for us in the near future
-Establish Division bases-
-Build up npc base via several recruitment threads-
-Ally with clan Orar, HELLFIRE Solutions, Haar Echoy'la, the Rendili Raiders, and anyone else you guys can think of-
-Make more tech for the Rangers-
-Establish more relationships with 'Honorary Rangers'-
