Sin looked out over the busy city form the floor to ceiling picture window. Cup of caf in his hands warming the otherwise cold echani. The night before hand brought many surprises. One of which was another cultist. One of spark, and of arrogance. Though he did not intend for their encounter to come down to a sparing match, he had no doubt in his mind and his simplistic style would win over.

After her defeat, Sin decided to take his prize on a little train ride. It was a revealing experience for both of them. One he expected would change the young woman's life for ever. For the betterment of herself and more importantly, for him. Sin took another long sip of his caf, and then turned around from the city. Resting on a table now in front of him. Jez's snap saber. Something he felt was far beyond her skill level.

With a start the raven hair priestess opened her eyes. The world before her slowly came into focus, but it was not a world she knew. The skyline looked about as nondescriptive as any other system she'd been on, so that was no help. Jez's heart was racing. Her eyes scanned the room she was in hoping to find some inkling of an idea. No help. This room was not her own.

Sitting up, Jez discovered another alarming tidbit. Her body ached like no other. She groaned loudly as she moved upright. Her neck was stiff, her back tight, and her arms tingled. Looking down at herself she noted she was dressed, but not in the same clothes as before. In fact, she'd never worn these clothes before. Whose were they if not her own?

Jez took another look around the room and moved to the tall mirror by the closet. She took a good glance over of the attire. They were elegant robes, but nothing like that in which she ever owned. Her saber! Where was it? For the third time now she scanned the room. Her heart was beating even faster. She could tell her weapon was close. Jez could feel the crystals within the hilts.

Closing her arms tight to her chest, Jez silently left the room. She kept her senses attuned and that's when she felt another person there with her. Was he the warrior she fought last night? Fought.... and lost to. Wait...how did she get here? What was the last thing she remembered? Jez couldn't focus. It was still blurry.

Deciding to take matters into her own hands, she entered the living room and took note of the man by the window. That's where she saw her saber. No time to waste. With a pull she yanked the blades away from him and into her hands where she ignited both hilts and unfolded the grip.

" Who are you?!" she demanded to know.

Sin was still drinking his caf, dwelling on what to do with the weapon before him. Not to mention the girl who wielded it. She was wild and directionless. Prideful, and without restraint. These aspects were not uncommon among their cult followers. But in this one he could not stand it. It puzzled him. The shadow led him to her, helped him defeat and punish her, and preserve her for the future.

As he gave though as to what to do with her, he felt her in the force. Awake and moving. Drawing closer and he moved from the bed room. Sin finished his caf. Allowing the dark side to return the weapon to the girl's hand. The raven haired beauty was soon apawn him, saber activated.

He could feel her anger, her fear. It was both amusing and intoxicating.

"Put the blades away puppet." He replied to her. The dark side commanding her to listen, and obey. "I would think you would of learned your lesson last night. No?" His words, bringing back memories of the fight. And the encounter afterward. Seeing the look on her face as those memories struck her like a force punch amused him more. "Now sit, eat. I've made caf."

Jez's hands worked before her mind did. She collapsed the saber and slid the ignition switches back into place so the beams died out and then she dropped the blades where she stood. Jez looked down at her hand confused as to what happened. Why had she done that?

"What is happening?" she asked aloud.

The man would then refresh her memory of the previous night. She'd lost to him in battle. She remembered that much. Her hands were both shaking now. She felt short of breath. Her lungs burned and her heart was pounding. Last night? He'd.....he'd hurt her. Badly. Her bruises? Scares? Those were from him.

"Sit with him. Dine with him."

The words echoed in her head. Her voice, telling her what to do. She turned to the table where food was waiting and before she realized it she was sitting down and pressing the hot cup of caf to her lips. It was dark, with no sweetener in it. She hated black caf! Her face grimaced as she took another sip. She put the cup down and slid it away from her. What was going on? Why couldn't she focus?!

He watched as his force infused words took hold over her. He face plane and emotionless, expected her saber to lower. The Echani was rather amused when she dropped it on the floor, suddenly careless to have it in her hands. In the mean time he poured caf. Refiling his cup first and pouring her a cup after.

"You don't remember ?" he answered her question. Knowing well what had transpired. He watched her face. The look of confusion quickly shifting into fear and more then a little embarrassment. "There it is." he mused. As it all came back to her.

He slid the hot cup of black caf over toward where she would sit before him. Sitting down before her. A server droid suddenly appearing to deliver the last few pieces of fresh cooked breakfast. Though it was not his normal droid companion, the sight of the robot would likely bring more memories flooding back to Jez.

Sin dished himself up a plate. Bantha sausage, eggs, brown. Even a side of toast and fresh fruit. He put the plate before himself and dug in. After a couple of bites he returned to his attention to Jez's original question. "You were being so careless and wild last night, we never properly introduced ourselves. My name is Sin. Sin Windrider. And you are ?"

Memories were flashing beyond her eyes. She could hear her screams echoing in her brain. Flesh tearing. But wait. That wasn't what happened. She was bleeding or anything. But she could hear his whip striking.

Sin laughed at her struggle as she tried to piece everything together. The biggest part was still a mystery. A droid came and served her food making her jump at the sight of it. She fearfully watched the robot move about then leave as if she were expecting it to suddenly try and attack her.

"I don't care," she replied. "You tried to kill me. Now you're....feeding me? What is this? Why am I here?"

Jez was furious. Her confusion made no sense to her. She couldn't understand why this man's logic. First he stalked her, then he tried to kill her, then he.....then he brought her back to his house? Was this even his place? It wasn't a hotel by any means. And now she was being fed by him.

Slamming her hand on the table she screamed louder, "Why am I here!"

Sin's amusement faded as the girls emotions started to spiral. He should of expected the reaction from her. The ego and pride were shattered by their fight. Her body was covered in marks and bruises. From the little he knew of her, he was sure she had never been tested in such a way. Never shown the true power.

As her voice rose, Sin's anger rose with it. "If I wanted to kill you, you would be dead. Instead I allow you to live. I allow you to eat and regain your pitiful strength and power." He said behind gritted teeth. But she pressed the issue. Screaming in his face as she slammed the table with her fist.

He was done with this. "Silence" he commanded. His voice was felt as much as heard. "No one stalked you. You are not so important as to be desired beyond rational thought. You were flashing your power all over the city. Carelessly bringing attention to yourself and to the dark side. Our mutual connection to our cause dictated I fix the issue. You bolted like a coward, and then lashed out when you cornered yourself. The fight, my little puppet, was your doing." The words continued to ring in her mind. Playing back perhaps in her own voice.

"As you why you are here, breathing with your head still attached to your shoulders. Is because I will it so. I seen something in you on that train. A power and potential untapped. With guidance, direction, and purpose. You might see it as well."

As his voice grew and he yelled at her for silence, Jez's jaw locked up. She flinched and immediately looked away from him. Her confidence bolstered with nothing more than a word from him. She stared down at the plate in front of her as her eyes searched back and forth. She could feel her heart beating in her ears now.

He'd then scold her, making her lower her head even more. She couldn't raise her head to even look his way, let alone get a word in. There was no defending herself. For some reason he got in her skin and she was truly terrified of him. Was that why she was obeying every order? She had a feeling this had happened before. Do what he wants so he'll stop hurting you. What wasn't she remembering?

Sin would finish his little rant and then it was quite again. Her arms were shaking, making their way further into her body. Fear was rising out of her pores. He could likely smell it on her. Sin expected an answer. She didn't know how to respond. Should she thank him? Thank him for not killing her? How ridiculous did that sound?

"My name...." she started, "Is Jez Winters."

She seemed terrified. Like telling him this news would make him any more likely to kill her. It certainly wouldn't save her. Her family wasn't some well renowned name. Nor was she anything prominent in terms of money. Her name was simply that. A title. A word. But to him, perhaps it was something more.

Sin watched as once again her bolstered ego was suddenly deflated. The train ride had done it's job. The magics of the shadow taking hold. Soon enough all would be revealed to her. But for now. Now he continued to eat. His face once more smiling with amusement but not laughing when he heard her name.

"Jez?" he mused. "It is no wonder you have such anger, such hate." He continued with more then a little sarcasm. Sin would then return his attention to his plate. One of the many things to displease him was a cold meal. Between bites he looked up to her with glaring eye "eat."

The rest of the meal would pass. Hopefully with little incident. Sin finished his plate, leaving it on the table where is rested, empty. He turned his attention toward the bed room. Where Jez had awaken not long before. There he would prepare his armor, before stepping into the shower.

Looking up at Sin, Jez wondered what he meant by her having anger. Did he think she hated her name? She found it to be pretty. Besides, what kind of name was Sin? Sin was a noun...an adjective. It wasn't a name. That was like calling someone Eat. It made no sense. And speaking of eating, Jez looked down and realized she had half a bite of toast in her mouth. No butter, no jam. Just plain toast. Jez made a bland face showing a bored disgust then began to correct her mistake. She was all over the place today.

Deciding to leave the conversation where it was at, Jez focused on the food. She was starving. And the food tasted delightful. She'd been scrimmaging on cheap food the past few weeks. Having a warm meal not out of a box was a good change; one she didn't realize until now how much of a difference it made. Jez made a mental note to swear off processed food for awhile, if not indefinitely. She'd also gone so far as to doctor her caf now that she seemed more in control of her senses. Lots of sugar, little dab of cream.

When the meal was done her host would go to leave saying nothing of the meal, or where he was going. He also gave her no order so Jez sat where she was silently wondering what would happen. When she heard the door shut behind her and then the water start soon after, Jez knew she had to move. She couldn't stay here. And if he thought she would just sit and let him demean her then he had another thing going.

Jez stood from the table and left what remained on her plate. She rushed out of the kitchen into the foyer where she assumed the nearest lift was. She took a few turns in his apartment but it wasn't hard to navigate. Her focus was on one thing and one thing only: escape. She quickly found the lift and went to the door with hurried steps. Her hand raised to the panel to open it, when suddenly she stopped.

"Stay," the voice in her head said. "He can protect you. Stay and use his strength."

Her hand hovered over the buttons, shaking. She couldn't get herself to push it. The voice spoke again, willing her to remain in his domain. She couldn't break free. Jez was then turning around and making her way back to the bedroom. Why? Why couldn't she leave! Her bare feet walked along the cold tiles and soft carpet, walking around her discarded saber as if she somehow forgot it was even there. Entering into the bedroom she stared at the bed she'd woken up on. But more specifically, she took in the sight of his armor.

"The Knights of Ren?" she asked herself in confusion. "Is that what this is about?"

The raven haired girl had been tutored in many factors of Sith history. The Knights of Ren were no exception. She knew all about their lineage, their fall, and now rumors of their revival. While she didn't have all the details about this new school, she knew their general code. Take. That was the basis. They cared neither for right and wrong, only doing what fit them best. In that, it was turning others to their side. Recruiting, or even removing their enemies. Was that why Sin was here? To recruit her into their fold?

Jez heard the water shut off, but she didn't move from where she was. When the door to the refresher opened she still remained frozen in her spot at the end of the bed. Her hand brushed over the pant leg of his armor and she spoke to him while her eyes stared solely on the emblem on the suit. "Is that why you brought me here? To join your ranks?"

Sin stood in the shower of the refresher, letting the hot water rinse away his name sake from the night before. He took a soap from a side bar built into the wall, lathering himself from head to toe. Then rinsed once more. Then his hair. Taking his time. It was methodical, almost meditative.

While he did this, he closed himself off from the rest of the world. Reaching out in the dark side, the shadow, as he preferred to call it. He reached out and focused on the girl. On Jez. She was finished with her meal, and heading for the door. She would not get far however. The Echani knew she wouldn't, but like always enjoyed the opportunity to continue to use the force were ever possible.

He finished his shower and stepped out to towel off. Feeling his prey moved into the bedroom as he did so. She would notice the armor he left out. He left it there as such. He wasn't sure she would of heard the rumors of the order withing the cultists but suspected that whispers were moving along slowly in the order.

Stepping out into the room, bare naked behind her. He tossed the towel into a corner for the maid droid to clean up later. The shadow still his ally, He reached into her mind allowing it to speak in her force. "Dress him puppet". As the words kissed her mind he stood now before her waiting. And as she dressed him in the black and silver armor he would answer her question.

"Answering the call of The Ren is something one must do for themselves. It is a call to chaos and consumption. We are weapons of the dark side, the shadow. We are the purity of action dictated by it. To both harness and preserve it. " He said, just before placing the worn silver helmet on his head. Sealing him into his black and silver attire. Then continued, now in a deeper mechanical scrambled voice. "I brought you here puppet, so that you may find purpose beyond this rock. To serve and learn under me. So that I may guide you as Master and apprentice."

Like a cold chill on the back of her neck, Jez knew that Sin was there. Something inside her knew that she had to dress him. She could tell he was waiting for her to do so. As she didn't want to take the time to see his bare chest again, she was more than willing to do so. Jez would pick up the man's briefs and turn to kneel at his feet where she'd help him get one leg in at a time. Her gaze never lifted more than his knee cap. Once that was done, she did the same with his trousers.

Sin's shirt was easier to work with, but she still felt small and diminutive next to his bulky frame. It was no secret that Jez was scared of Sin. After what he'd done to her, terrorized her, it was a miracle she could even stand to be in the same room with him. It got easier of course as she slowly covered his body up with clothes and armor atop them. Soon he was nothing more to her than a suit of armor, locked away inside that helmet. He could be anyone under that mask. Perhaps that fear of him disappeared behind the hood.

While all this was going on, her captor would explain the reasoning to her capture. He explained that even if he wanted her to be one of them, she would need to answer the call on her own. The call -he explained further- was to be one with the truest form of the Dark side. It meant giving herself completely to its power and using that chaos to cause destruction and -in essence- death. But when his voice changed to a more robotic tone, he then went on to say he did not expect her to join in that cause. Instead, he merely wanted to give her a choice. A new purpose. Something meaningful.

He then said the words she never thought she'd hear: Master and Apprentice. He wanted to train her? That's what this was all about? The whole thing up until now had been some sort of test? Some...audition? Did that mean she passed then? He'd let her live, and brought her to his home. Surely he wouldn't do that with someone he didn't feel could live up to the expectation.

Jez turned away from Sin. She turned her shoulder to his cold metal armor. Now that he was covered up, it seemed less personal. It felt like she was talking to a droid. Crossing her arms over her chest she shied her head away as well so that her hair would cover her face. "Why me?" she asked innocently. "I've never killed anyone. I don't think I could ever kill someone. I know the Dark side preaches about how we are the balance of life. That, we are supposed to be a catalyst. Like a reaper or something. I don't know..."

Turning back around she tried to look up at him. She found it easier to do so knowing she couldn't actually see his face. "I never wanted to be a warrior. I mean, my family just wanted me to learn about the Siths of old and to worship the Dark as some...all powerful thing. I trust in the Dark side. I really do. I understand the code and what it means. I just...." Jez shied away again, turning her head to the side and avoiding eye contact. "I don't know what you can expect of me. I'm....not worthy."

Sin stood over Jez, pleased with himself and his skill. The shadow bent to his will as did his prize. The young and naive girl was unwittingly bending bit by bit to him. Unaware of his will over her. Still, her resistance was there. What she lacked in power of control she made up for in presents of will. The Echani could admire that, if it didn't irritate him so much.

Still he could also feel her fear. Not only in the trembling in her hands as he dressed her. But also in her presence within the dark side. Sin reveled in it. Bathed in it as she dressed him in his Knight armor. The feeling consumed him and invigorated him as Jez encased him in black and silver.

However the effect quickly changed when the dressing was complete. The waves of fear seemed to ebb. Suddenly giving rise to a river of emotion and self pity. Again making him question not only the guidance of the force, but how the kriff this girl managed to survive and sort of training. Assuming she got any worth mentioning. But Sin felt no pity, no remorse for her. In fact her emotion infuriated him.

His left hand shot upward. Demanding the shadow to bend to his control. He formed it into a hand, an invisible claw that could clutch Jaz around the jaw. Forcing it shut to end her babbling before tossing her toward the bed. When she bounced back, he used the force to catch her by the throat and close around her.

"Why you indeed puppet. You are spineless, pitiful. The dark side does not require you to kill. Merely to move the wheel and continue the cycle. To cast the long shadows caused by the light. Only those who choose the path of Ren are asked to kill. To give of ourselves what we care for. To prove our faith. You are far from such faith. You understand nothing. But the shadow of the force has lead me to you. To break you. To rebuild you and guide you as a follower of the dark side should be. " He explained with the robotic voice of the helmet's voice scrambler.

When he was done he held her just long enough to cause her to pass out once again. The knight knew he could make something better of her. That the shadow had purpose for her. He merely needed to find it.

Jez's jaw clamped shut so fast she nearly bit her tongue off in the process. Before her mind could even process what was even happening she was being launched backwards. Her legs caught the end of the bed and her torso bent back to fall into the mattress. She gasped with a shriek of fear only to have her windpipe grabbed next. Sin's grasp cut off her air again making the raven haired girl clench at her neck hopelessly.

Sin began to condescendingly talk down to her as Jez writhed halfway on the bed trying to breathe. Her eyes fearfully gazed at his helmet hoping his eyes would see the desperation in hers. She couldn't breathe! He knew that right? Jez tried not to fight back, figuring he'd let her go once he was finished with his little monologue. But as Jez reached closer to the end of her rope, she began to switch over into panic mode.

Her body started to slide off the bed and onto the floor, spreading her legs under her butt awkwardly holding her up. Her right arm also supported her as she leaned down on it while her left tried desperately to pull away his ethereal grip. He would let her go, right? He just said he wanted to train her. He had to let go eventually?

But her body couldn't accept that. It needed to protect itself. Jez's vision was already wavering and she could see spots forming wherever she looked. A dark cloud started to encompass the corners of her eyes. Not being able to stand it any longer her left hand pushed out towards him hitting him with nothing more than a gust of wind. She couldn't concentrate to call on the Force. She was too far gone. She tried again only it was even less of a breeze and then her body slumped to the left and she fell, blacking out once more.
