With profits one more flooding into the Hutt Cartel, the notable Lords of Hutta once again have time to look to themselves, and show of their profits. Alongside this, mercenaries returning from the front, a pay packet in their hand - always need a drink. These two facts combined lead to the production of the VY-1 Sail Barge, a vessel that could double up as a Luxury mobile nightclub and Hutt throne room, or be retro-fitted as a ground combat vessel should the need arise. With the only other option for their Sail Barge needs to be found in the centuries old designs produced by Ubbrikan Yards, the design proved popular.
Hosting hundreds of Guests, alongside several bouncers and security personnel, in addition to the usual cooking and catering staff, the VY-1 Class Luxury Yacht is the envy of many a Hutt Lord, purchased as both a Status Symbol, or as a revenue generator for the Hutt in question. Often they are designed differently, with numerous different tints of glass, colors of metal and sail available for the right price.
In combat tests, the Yachts hold up well, capabale of disabling small vehicles as well as acting as siege platforms due to their large front mounted cannon. Naturally they excel in troop transportation as well as in anti-troop combat, due to their ability to mount small arms on the top deck rails, and through the window ports.
All in all, a typical Hutt vessel, designed for luxury, but with the ability to be lethal should the situation arise.
