"There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force."

"Very good. Now, can you please explain your own meaning of the Code. By sentence first, then as a whole."

*Kyle merely closed his eyes and concentrated on listening. He would listen to his Padawan speak her own thoughts, and that was quite important for training.*

"We shouldn't let ourselves be ruled by our emotion but find our way through inner peace. We should strive to learn more so that we can better ourselves. We shouldn't make our decisions based on our passion but rather through correct thought. We are not doomed to darkness but simply travelling along a cycle of the force that will end in the death of our material selves" she thought for a moment how she could bring all that together as one whole "we should try to improve ourselves but not but lead astray by powerful forces such as emotion and passion, by avoiding this we will achieve peace and find the answers that we seek"

*Kyle nodded his head in agreement. Viridian had a good train of thought, and her idea of the Jedi Code was her own, but there was one thing that bothered him about her ideal. Throwing away the emotions weren't something easily done or achieved even at all in a lifetime. Kyle's belief was that the emotions one held were powerful, but they were what made the person who he or she was, and although emotions may cloud judgment, isn't it those same emotions that create right and wrong?*

"Good interpretation. But, can you truly leave your emotions behind. Can you as an individual become a Jedi without feeling or emotion, but still choose the path of righteousness?"

"Well..." Viridian thought "it is important to recognize emotions but we should make sure that they don't lead us down a path we don't want to follow, because Jedi have more power then the typical being we need to excericse more restraint over oursevles in order to stay true to the path we have chosen"

"Jedi do not have power! We are the most powerless of them all. Power grows from status, greed, and hunger for more. Jedi have respect. That is earned from being the peacemakers of the galaxy. Jedi take the most cruel and endearing lives to live, and there aren't many benefits, but it sure makes the soul feel good when you do something right in the galaxy. And that's one thing power can't buy."

*Kyle mentioned these few words to make sure that there was no such connection to Jedi and power. Sure, they had the 'power' to wield the Force, but it wasn't much more than a gift than it was then a curse. However, exercising the restraint was a very good ideal, but it was a matter of achieving that restraint or not. Every Jedi has self-discipline, and most Jedi Council Members have it to a very high degree, but even then, it is not enough to reveal some of the few emotions out.*

Viridian stood silent, taking this all in "yes master" she replied "I will remember that" there was nothing spiteful about her words and her voice was sincere

ooc: really short, but it'll do.

"Good. So please tell me...what do you think of this Code overall. What does it mean? Can you abide by it?"

"I think it's meant to comfort and guide us. To tell us what e should sometimes avoid but also to comfort us and ease our knowledge of things we can't change. It means that we shouldn't get overwhelmed by the things we should change and the things that we cannot. I think I can abide by it but I think it should be viewed more as a source of guidence then a set of strict rules or I'd risk loosing sort of the message behind them" she hoped this answer would do, so much of this was new to her, as a Jedi she was opening up to much larger enviroments

"Good. The Jedi Code is like a set of rules that every Jedi lives by, and I believe every Jedi has his or her own idea of what they had in mind about it. As long as you can live by it, and not regret it, then you will feel peace in your heart. So, quick review. What is the Force, Jedi Philosophy about the Force, and the Jedi Code?!"

*Quick pop quizzes like this would test her knowledge and ability of short attention span or not. And besides, he would need to see if she knew it before they continued.*

"The force is a network of living energy that envelops and encompuses as all, the Jedi strive to become more intune with the force and use the gifts doing so brings to help others and try to serve the will of the force. The Jedi code is there is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no passion; there is serenity and there is no death; there is the Force"

*Kyle nodded and smiled. The girl knew what she was looking for, and now it was time to move on.*

"Here, I have a gel ball. I would like you to push it back and forth, but not with your hands, but with the Force. If you truly understand that the Force is living energy, then you will be able to accomplish this."

*Kyle laid a gel ball on the ground, and watched intently for results.*
