So I like these. Do you know the urban legends for your state/area. Here in TX we have a few, the most popular being the Galveston Ghost Face on the UT medical building.

It's said that the Ghost Face belonged to a man who owned the building before it became the UT medical building. It's said he did not want the building donated to the university and if it ever was he would haunt it eternally.

I can't vouch for this personally, as I've never been to Galveston. However, many many photos depicting the face have been captured. Also, multitudes of faculty and students have sworn to it's factual existence.

My mother told me stories of the Ghost Train. Teenagers would party out in the bush, just past these tracks. You could walk on the tracks and you would see a hovering light. Years ago a train derailed on that track and everything on it was accounted for except two things: the engineer and the light. So apparently it is the engineer out with his light, searching for his lost train.

I have one, it isn't exactly spooky but pretty interesting! San Diego is a big military town, huge naval repair yard, the SEALs do their training here and all that. So in town we have a man made beach called Silver Strand that connects Coronado island to the mainland. There is a pretty popular conspiracy theory that Silver Strand is actually packed full of high grade explosives! Why? Well since San Diego is such a high value military target if anyone decided to say, blockade the port so the ships couldn't get out, then BOOM! You blow up part of the beach and now you have a huge hole for ships to get through. Nobody has ever confirmed or denied this story to my knowledge but it's always fun to think about when you are heading to the Strand lol.

That's all pretty interesting indeed. Has anyone ever claimed to have found explosives in the area? I understand the logic but I wonder if there has any been any claims of proof.

I assume everyone knows about Area 51 in Nevada so I won't go into that one, but there's another legend the seven dead bodies are buried somewhere inside of or under the hoover dam and that as a result, it's haunted. Ninety six pack people died during the hoover dams construction including several incidents that can only be described as freak accidents. People still seem to suffer from an unusually high number of freak accidents to this day at the hoover dam.

We had a bit of a weird one at our high school tbh, not much a thing and almost more of a joke than anything really.

Basically our school loves to build shit dedicated to people who were important teachers/headmasters/etc there or who gave a lot of money and stuff, and one of these many dedications is a kinda floor diamond, hall of fame style, dedicated to this old headmaster guy who dedicated his life to the school and died on campuss many years ago. So now there's this mini legend built up that if anyone steps on the stone, they'll be killed by the ghost of this former headmaster. Now, unfortunately I can vouch for either the legend's incompleteness or inaccuracy as I stepped on the stone on like my first day at the school lmao, and I'm still somewhat alive. Whether this is because it's false or because I have yet to be on the field dedicated to this same guy at night and thus he hasn't had a chance to kill me, however, is anyone's guess.

Oh, and we also hold a funeral for a 50 year dead hamster every year, our school is weird like that.

Not to my knowledge. The whole area is pretty well-guarded with MP's stationed around the perimeter and security on the life-guard towers as its located right next to some pretty important naval headquarters (It's still public access though). So this prevents anyone from doing any digging or fact checking unless you want to get thrown in the brig for suspicious activity.
