35 ABY

The Battle of Exegol has ended. The re-emerging tyranny that was Emperor Palpatine's Final Order, had failed. Through an intense and climactic battle full of wins and losses on both sides, the Resistance emerged victorious with the assistance of the Citizen's Fleet. The clash between good and evil resulted in one of the bloodiest and most devastating fights known to the Star Wars galaxy.

Now with the icy planet of Exegol serving as a graveyard for a conquered army, and news of the Final Order's grand defeat, planets throughout the galaxy that have been occupied and threatened by their hand have begun to stand up. Rise. Resist. Fight back.

The Resistance's mission is far from over. That's where you come in. You are part of an elite strike force, consisting of some of the Resistance's best fighters, that has been tasked with assisting in the ongoing
Uprising on Cloud City.

BRIEFING LEADER: General Poe Dameron

A single lone Resurgent-class Star Destroyer hovers above Cloud City, complete with two full TIE fighter attack wings, a full garrison of Stormtroopers, and a single light cruiser to complement. We've already sent over a forward scouting team to survey the enemy's routines.

There is a 24/7 constant air patrol consisting of a single latch of TIE's that rotate every four hours. Troops from the Resurgent have been deployed to ground-level via troop transports and conduct regular foot patrols, you know, typical First Order protocol. The current number on the ground is unknown, but be prepared for a massive counter-attack force capable of mobilizing and reacting to large-scale threat.

There's word that the people of Bespin are forming some kind of militia to mount an attack on the cruiser. We need you to link up with our militia contact, coordinate and execute an assault plan, and free the people of Cloud City. Are there any questions?

The Battle of Exegol was truly the battle to end all battles. Jaycob's been in his fair share of fights, some longer than others, but this one was truly remarkable. The sheer scale of it all was second to none and he was just happy to escape it with his life and with his friends. Fleets from all over the galaxy had come together to fight Palpatine's grand military as one. And they'd succeeded.

But the war was far from over. Even though the main Final Order force had been extinguished, there were still several systems that were under their fist of tyranny. Word had gotten out about the Resistance's victory, and those occupied systems began planning their respective uprisings after seeing just how weak their foe truly was.

Jaycob now sat in his B-Wing Mark II, in a hyperspace tunnel with the Bespin system locked in on his NavComputer. It was only a day after the post-battle celebration that had occurred for several days on Ajan Kloss, yet Jaycob was rearing to get back out in the field. The party served as a well-deserved break from such a hectic few years, and he was grateful for it. But now, it was time to get back to work.

As a General, Jaycob could send out teams under his umbrella of command to assist with the Uprising on Cloud City, but that just wasn't his style. He preferred to get in the action, to dig in and get his hands dirty. The ragtag team of pilot officers that he aligned himself with within the Resistance, otherwise known as the "Flyboys", were not asked to accompany him on this mission. Jaycob didn't feel the need to call upon his closest friends in the Navy for something he felt like he could handle perfectly fine without.

That being said, their presence was only one call away. Wanting to branch out and get to know pilots and soldiers outside his usual network would be a nice change of pace for him, so he opted to go that route for this particular operation. He had no idea what characters were also traveling to Cloud City with him, but he made sure to put out an open invitation for anyone willing and able. Anyone with any ship and any counterparts was welcome, the only caveat being they had to fall under one squad indicator: Sentinel.

Here we go.

"This is Sentinel 1, calling out to assisting pilots. Can you read me? Let me know you're out there, over."
