Dantooine - Several miles from the Jedi Temple

Relos watched as a group of students practiced their dueling skills on the uneven ground the covered to clearing on the mountains peak. It was cold at this altitude but they all sweated with the exertion of the climb up the mountain and the several hours of dueling practiced they had endured. The uneven ground, wind, and high altitude made it difficult to fight which is exactly why he had brought the students here.

While the spot was frequented by training Padawans or Knights who wanted to get away from the larger population of Jedi at the Temple Proper, him and his group of six Padawans were alone on small clearing.

The Jedi Knight continued to watch on, giving advice and point out mistakes where needed. He caught movement out of the corner of his eye and glanced over his shoulder to see a woman walking up the path to the clearing. He recognized her as a Jedi Knight but they had never met.

He turned back around to see a pair of Padawans slow, clearing not giving the exercise their full effort. He snapped a threat at the two as they renewed the speed and turned back and nodded to the woman as she reached the clearing.

She was the last to see this Knight leave the temple and was given the task of retrieving him. She thought this would have been a Padawans' job, weren't they like interns anyways?

Maja inhaled deeply, taking a moment to feel the cool breeze from the higher altitude. She was getting closer, she could feel a presence up ahead along with some quieter ones. The white haired girl rested her palm on the hilt of her sword, continuing and exited into a clearing near the peak.

Smiling internally, she had found him, she didn't know who he was but he sure did like bossing around padawans. Making eye contact, the girl gave him a quick two fingered salute and stood next to him watching the padawans spar.

"The Generals have requested for your presence; you should habit carrying a comm." she said quirking an eyebrow.

He glanced over at the white haired woman as she walked up next to him. "Must not be too important, or they would have just sent you to take care of it rather than climbing a mountain to find me." he said the humor apparent in his voice. "If I came running every time the Generals called, we would never finish any training. That is one of the reasons I come up here....without a comm" he said breaking off giving a struggling Padawan correction.

He let the training go on for a about half a minute and called an end the session. Many of the Padawans dropped where they sat as water began getting passed around.

"I will let them rest a while and then I will head down. Thank you for bringing word." he said before adding in a few seconds later. "Though, It would be a shame for you to have come all this way for nothing. I am sure the students would love to see a demonstration of someone with your skills." he said as several of he closer Padawan's faces perked up.

He didn't know much specifically about her skill level but he heard of her and others like her going through Echani training as well as their Jedi training. "What do you say? You choose the weapon." he said taking a few steps into the middle of the uneven clearing as students began to move to the outer edges.

He did have a point about sending her, "Well, it has occurred to me that I may have become the butt of a joke..." though what joke, she couldn't imagine...if it was to tire her out, well, certainly they failed, since she felt more rejuvenated than when she started. She watched as the padawans continued to spar and he suggested for her and him hold their own in order to demonstrate.

She felt the hilt of her sword, though a healer, the option of a fight was quite appealing as she had been raised to seek every opportunity. The padawans begun to whisper as they looked between the two Knights.

"Well, I can't hardly pass up a chance...the healing halls don't offer too many opportunities." she said taking her position across from the Knight in the clearing; she wrapped her fingers around the hilt and removed her sword. Instead of the familiar snap hiss from a lightsaber, her steel sword gave a distinct ring as she unsheathed it. She heard the awe expressions from the padawans and some scoffs as they didn't think she stood a chance against a Knight with a lightsaber.

She gripped her blade with two hands, to the observer it looked heavy and awkward, but for Maja it was weightless as it became an extension of herself. It look archaic to the bare eye, however, if one would reach deeper, they could feel a connection the sword had with its master and it would suddenly become more dangerous than expected.

"Ready when you are."

He couldn't help but grin at the mixed reaction of the Padawans. "What an odd place we live in where it is the steel sword, and not the lightsaber that draws attention." he said igniting his own weapon, dark green plasma extending from the hilt as the all too familiar low hum buzzed.

Relos was no fool and knew the skill and dedication it took to craft such a blade, and while he had not witnessed her skill, was sure she could use the weapon proficiently. There was also no practice setting on her blade, like his was set to. Attacks from it would be deadly whereas his would only temporally incapacitate.

The Jedi Knight bowed slightly again and took a slow step forward, careful of his footing on the uneven terrain. It was just as dangerous as his opponent. He moved to within five feet of the woman, his focus being enhanced by the Force, as he searched the woman's body for a tell.

After several seconds, he lunged forward as he stabbed straight towards the woman's mid section.

Maja stood feet hip distance apart and her sword gripped with two hands pointed at Relos. He approached her first, the Force flowed between the two Knights as they prepared. It was only a matter of seconds, but it felt incredibly long for the woman.

He lunged forward, his saber coming at her mid-section, but the Knight shifted her weight in her legs, stepping to her right, one leg over the next. Her sword simutaneously came up, tapping his saber, strong enough to emit sparks. She tested his strength, before releasing him as she continued to circle to her right, and keeping to Relos' left. He would have to keep turning also in order not to let her get behind him.

"You're holding back." she jeered, "I thought I saw you tell your padawans not to do that." she pushed her words and jabbed her sword into his left side.

She blocked the attack simply enough as she sidestepped the atrack and attacked his left side he let his forward momentum carry him forward past the thrust aimed at his side.

As he moved past her, he dripped the blade in his left hand and swung backwards toward her left thigh.

As his attack came he pivioted now facing her left side.
