So we've got 94916546848967494 people on the roster, and maybe 1 in every 10 of those people are actually active. What do you lot think about archiving the current roster, starting a new one, and then starting a 'check-in' thread for all accepted members of the order to post in to get added back to the roster?

It'd also make the roster small enough for us to alphabetize while we're working on it, so it's an organizational win all around.

Meh personally I'd rather leave it alone. I've done those 'check in' threads and only like 3 people replied though a vast amount were actually active. People don't notice those threads or something. Plus, the roster is enough of a hassle for me as it is and I, personally, have no desire to go through it and do this.

It's just that our roster is massive and finding active members on it is starting to become a chore. I'd be more than happy to handle the update myself - it wouldn't take much effort once it got started, and after the new roster's completed, it'd be as easy to maintain as our current roster.

Gotta say I'm totally with Jiang on this. Make the thread a sticky and we could even do it in stages (IE first of all the current Knights, then the current Padawans, then the current masters). And put a big bold line in saying anyone not responding will be removed from the roster.

Sreeya gave me carte blanche to go ahead on this, so I'll get started today.

@Ols: I like the idea of doing it in stages; it should make things much simpler to keep track of, so we'll do it that way. ^^

EDIT

Okay, it's rolling. Ended up going without the 'in stages' idea to try to get it going faster.
