Location: Tatooine Spaceport

mos-eisley.jpg

Finding a shaded spot among an alleyway along the outskirts of the spaceport after finishing the so called work he found on this sandy hell of a planet a young man got to work on his habit of tinkering with what he found throughout the day. Sitting with his back to the shaded wall, bag laid at his side, he got to work studying and dismantling the new cylinder components he found on the market place ground early in the day. Fascinated and curious about its design and purpose since he found it, the man went right to work zoning out focus with his surroundings.

Dismantling of the outer shell the man could be heard humming and talking to himself.

"Magnetic field, interesting. Why would a cylinder like this have one?" making the man pause for a second before continuing to studying to work on the component. Continuing the dismantling, a large compression of air escaped followed by a small sphere being ejected from the component.

"Not good." Escaped from his lips as the sphere smashed into the corner of a building throwing exploded sections into the air and busy corridor.

All he heard was "Over there get him!" shouted out through the dust before he could react. Scrambling to his feet and throwing all the lose parts into this bag, Ko'vas took off running as he saw a few people getting up off the ground. One in particular didn't look to happy as he dusted herself off but he didn't stay to find out he focused on the path forward tossing his bag over his shoulder.

"Well that could have gone better." He muttered to himself as he slide under a table before continuing to evade his way through the streets.

Aizahk sauntered casually down the streets of the port, hands clasped behind his back like an old drill sergeant, taking in the sights around him; the place was strange to his mind. The first thing that he noticed was how unbelievably loud the place was. Aizahk had most definitely experienced the hustle and bustle of a spaceport, but this was something else. There were only a few other intelligent species, including humans, that were common back in his home city. However, here there appeared to be hundreds. With so many unique species and peoples congregating and interacting in one place, it was a huge difference; he was awed by the fact that there were so many languages being spoken, some shouted from one end of the place to another. The second thing that jarred him was the heat. Although no stranger to hotter conditions, hailing from a tropical planet, the humid climes that he was accustomed to had barely prepared him for the blistering heat of Tatooine's suns. He realized very quickly that he missed the ability to simply dip under the shade of the jungle canopy, when the heat became too much.

Marveling at the strange architecture and diverse crowd, Aizahk began to feel the need for something to drink. After all, he was stuck there for a good while until his ship was repaired; the battle he and the jedi had escaped had left it in really bad shape and they would have to stay in Tattooine for at least a week.

Following signs that pointed towards the Cantina led him into a smaller street, which housed a few shops and vendors. Clearly a tourist, he quickly became prey for the various traders. They ran up to him occasionally, attempting to either foist wares on him or direct him to their stores. He sped up, hoping to avoid as much of this as possible, prompting him to head down an alleyway and into a quieter street. He didn't want to get confused by the hectic street after all. He would find however, that he would regret doing so...

- BOOM -

A sudden explosion. Immediately springing into action, Aizahk rested his hand on his lightsaber. A pain in his arm. He looked down at the back of his left arm, noticing that some shrapnel had gotten lodged in his arm. Luckily his jacket had prevented the stones from penetrating too deeply so, with a slightly pained hiss, he picked out a few of the larger pieces and looked to find the cause. It was at this point that he noticed a man, a little ways down the alley. It was clear from his face that he'd caused the explosion but, judging by the fact that he was tinkering with a piece of technology, it seemed as though it was unintentional. However, others that realized he was the perpetrator didn't come to the same conclusion and instead they chased him down. Aizahk quickly followed along with the pursuers for a moment, noticing the man disappear from view suddenly. The other pursuers, clearly under the impression that he'd just run deeper into the crowd, chased on. Aizahk however knew better, stopping and looking around. He chuckled as he spotted the bomber tucked under a table, in fact it was quite obvious once he'd taken a moment to stop. Waltzing up to the table as though he didn't know he was there, Aizahk suddenly dragged the table away and drew his shoto, pointing it at the man underneath. He turned his arm and gestured to the pieces of shredded material with his eyes. "You alright there, mate? I think you owe me a drink." He smiled.

Sliding to a halt under a second table, Ko'vas tried to slow his breathing and not move to hide from his pursuers. Hearing them approach, he relaxed a bit as he saw them continue their charge through the streets past him. "That was close." He whispered to himself letting out a deep breath off air. "Alright then, we are done tinkering for today." He finished saying to himself as he prepared to crawl out from under the table. However, like usual, plans change.

The table slide out from around him and a mini lightsaber was almost instantly pointed at him. Without thinking Ko'vas rolled and through his shoulder guard in between himself and the man now standing next to him to protect himself while dropped his hand to his pistol as his and facing the man on one knee.

"A drink?" Ko'vas replied confused only focusing on the last part of his statement as be poked his head around his shoulder guard. Looking over the man before him Ko'vas took in the aura that flowed off him before focusing back to the man himself. "I appreciate your concern for me, but the better question would be are you are okay." Ko'vas replied as he began to relax moving his hand away from his pistol.

Not wanting to get himself into more trouble, more so with a guy that has a mini lightsaber but he still remained unsure of his intentions. Seeing the man not react aggressively to his movements after a slight pause, Ko'vas slowly stood up. "A drink sound good to me." he stated with a slight smile still holding his guard up just in case.

"Good to hear. Aizahk, by the way." Aizahk raised the glowing weapon, only noticing the slight panic it had caused in the immediate vicinity once a few exasperated sighs came into earshot around him. Looking around, he shot dark looks at those watching from a short distance; they began to disperse, going back to their business. Aizahk was glad that it didn't have to come to violence, after all a free drink was worth a bit of shrapnel stuck in his arm.

Thankfully, Tatooine's suns had begun to slowly set, casting a purplish glow over the planet. The air began to shift from a borderline oppressive heat to slight freshness, becoming actually quite pleasant. This was good timing, because it was as the evening rolled in that the cantina began to start bustling with activity. As they headed onto the street it was situated on, the sound of the live band immediately came into earshot. A plethora of characters could be seen congregated around the front of the building, drinking, smoking and participating in various revelry. A few more shady figures could be seen hovering around as well; mostly dealers looking to sell and scammers, swindlers and con artists scoping out marks.

Aizahk pushed through the crowd, heading towards the bar. He found himself catching the eyes of a few around, though suspected the majority didn't have good intentions. His clothing, though now a little tattered, was clearly well made and he probably stood out to them as a foreigner. His eyes glided around the room, familiarizing himself with not only the seedier groups of drinkers that lurked around the room but the exits, just in case something kicked off.

Walking up to the bar, Aizahk looked to the barman, a humanoid droid, and he raised his arm, ordering a drink. "It's on him." He pointed to Ko'Vas nonchalantly, before hopping up onto one of the bar stools, turning around and leaning back on the counter, drink in hand.

OOC: Sorry for the long delay and short response. I don't usually get on the computer over the weekend.

Ko'vas dusted himself off and followed Aizahk through the crowd among the setting suns of Tatooine. They pushed their way through the crowd and made their way to the bar. Before even getting a seat Aizahk ordered and drink and pointed to me. Finding a seat next to him Ko'vas ordered a drink before turning towards to Aizahk.

"Names Ko'vas and sorry for the injury to your arm." he stated as he took a sip of his drink trying not cough at its high than usual strength. As he took a sip, Ko'vas scanned the room looking over the layout and possible escape paths if anything started. Not the most adapt for fight, Ko'vas always wanted to know his routes out.

OOC: Now i have to apologize because i derped and didn't actually post my reply... Anyway. xD

"It's fine. Though you probably ought to find yourself an actual workshop, or perhaps you shouldn't tinker with explosives in the middle of town." Aizahk chuckled. "So, Ko'Vas. I assume you're not from around here, like me?" He asked. As he asked the question, he watched as a tall, hulkish alien barged his way into the bar. Other patrons looked on from a distance and, though most cleared a path for his entry, many were shoved aside. Clearly this creature commanded some degree of respect and it was also apparent that he was not in the best of moods. On top of this he appeared to be injured to some degree, hobbling slightly as he heaved himself through the cantina. Aizahk watched inconspicuously as the creature leaned on the countertop and growled at the droid behind the bar, in a language Aizahk could barely understand. Once he'd ordered, he began muttering angrily under his breath. "I wonder what his problem is..." Aizahk said under his breath, just loud enough that Ko'Vas could hear him.

OOC: It's all good.

Ko'vas began to take a sip as he began to think about he response for Anizahk questions. However, a disturbance at the entrance caused his thought to flee and focus was directed towards the newcomer. "I'm not sure but I rather not find out." Ko'vas whispered back before taking another slow sip as he looked over the cantina to see how his routes from earlier may have shifted with the new attention brought in.

After finishing his sip and look over, Ko'vas turned to his while still sitting at the bar to face Aizahk. "Technically I don't think it was an explosive but I will agree, not the best place to work on." Ko'vas answered as he placed his now almost empty glass down on the bar top. "That assumption would be correct Aizahk. I'm just stuck here as I figure out where I need to go next, and how to go about that." He stated with a slight smile as he turn to finish off his drink. "So what brought you to the wonderful planet of sand?" Ko'vas asked as he slid is empty glass to the inside of the bar counter.
