Galactic Evolution Training Room

The reformed Crusader had come to the Jedi Order just a few weeks ago as the result of searching the galaxy for something which she could only define as her Awakening. Her quest began many months ago however, as she embarked to search for another Sith who vanished, rumored to have defected. She soon found herself seeking something much more unanticipated. If anyone would have asked her then if she would ever have believed she would be standing where she is today, she would have thought them mad. While a Sith would determine something must have snapped in a very bad way within her, Zabić is convinced that something long thought elusive just clicked into place.

Zabić learned from her experience with Kai Sera, how it can seem a bit overwhelming for a Jedi, the first time they experience up close how a Sith commands the Force, enough that one might hesitate, a distraction which can lead to death. She had worked closely under Kai's guidance, and the two quickly developed an Empathetic connection. Zabić thought him an amazing, brazen, and complex individual. Even seemingly inundated at first, Kai stayed focused and helped her work with her new alignment. He was an invaluable help. She found him quite adept, where Sith were always taught to assume themselves greater in power than the Jedi. Being with the Jedi is a welcomed learning experience for Zabić. She hopes to give back, beginning with educating the current students on defense techniques as best she is able.

The Knight entered through a side door. "My name is Zabić. The focus of this class will be Tutaminis. To start, we will begin dissipating energy from remotes. At any time you feel confident, you are encouraged at your leisure to form and avert the energy back towards the far wall. Then, I'm going to give you a demonstration. Since you're not going to be defending yourself against the smooth ebb and flow of Jedi Lightning to which you are pretty in tuned to start with, you're going to get a chance to experience the feel of raw chaos."

This being Zabić's first class teaching, she isn't quite certain what to expect from the students, herself having only been recently introduced to the population of the Galactic Evolution. So far she found Jedi to be unbelievably calm individuals, contrast to the ways of the Sith. In her youth training was always taken seriously, as was it ever grueling.

"Welcome to the real world."

She stood facing the students gathered at one end of the room. The far end of the room was vacant and locked so nobody could walk in at the wrong time and get zapped. Zabić raised a hand and held it, initiating the Remotes resting on a corner shelf of the room to come to life with a crack and hum, as they rose into the air and travelled towards them. One hovered before each student and herself. "The first thing you need to do is tell yourself, the shock is an intense physical experience but you'll be alright."

The Remotes were set on the lowest setting, and programmed to emit an electrical pulse at regular intervals in unison, so the students could have ample time to prepare to defend themselves between the shock emissions.

"Raise your hand if necessary to halt the Remote until the following cycle, which will sync with the others after you lower your hand again."

Zabić instructed, "Watch my demonstration of Tutaminis through Force Sight." Zabić waited a moment for the students to comply before lowering her hand which started the Remote directly in front of her position to count down. Within a brief moment the Remote emitted a shock towards her. She trapped the energy and drew it into her palm to dissipate it. "Concentrate on creating a resistance with the Force, between yourself and the approaching pulse. Push out a controlled localized wave to dispel it." She repeated the example so they could watch again for the specifics through Force Sight.

"Then after you get the feel of that, there are other options. You can learn to gather what energy just came at you and reroute its path." The Remote firing once more, the Knight demonstrated gathering the energy pulse and reforming it into her hand as an orb, and hurled it back towards the far wall. "You can also learn after much practice, to gather this energy, convert it to its raw form and utilize it to empower you further in the Force."

There were many things Khivas knew how to do with the and through the Force, but for each new thing he learned, each new enemy he defeated, the war weary Knight found ten other things he didn't know of, and would be crucial to his future survival.

Tutaminis was one of them, and how he managed to survive this long without it was a miracle in and of itself, but alas through the will of the Force and sheer dumb luck, here he was, far more powerful than he had ever been, and with knowledge and practice he didn't have a decade ago, on the fast track to learning new abilities he previously had no hope of learning. Khivas sat there and watched as another Knight gave the introduction on how to perform the technique, starting with basic tenets on how to use it.

"Doesn't seem too different than barrier or deflection in a way." Khivas thought to himself as he listened to the lesson, watching Zabic do her thing with the remote's discharge. When mention of Force Sight dropped, Khivas let loose a small smile, the knowledge in his mind that he was able to "see" the Force in a way, as well as "see" to a very limited degree without it, but that smiled died down quickly when he recalled he wasn't exactly adept at the skill, just really fortunate that his senses were sharp as a Vibroblade.

Nonetheless, Khivas concentrated hard on the Force, collecting and pooling it around him, going to add to the repertoire of skills he could only previously imagine using only a few years ago.

Raising his hand in front of him, Khivas began to form the wall in front him similar to how he would create a barrier or deflection field, only in this case the Force energies swirled about as if a pool of chaotic but selfcontaining waves, all the better to capture and channel any harmful energies. Releasing the wave, Khivas took a dazed halfstep backwards, and looked to the instructor before speaking.

"How was that?" He asked, "Par for the course or am I kicking up dirt?"

Scarred head hung sheepishly, one hundred and eighty four centimeters entirely threadbare by choice of shabby comfort, Cappi's swollen brown eyes shyly swung away from instructor Zabić's. Feeling foolish to have asked for her permission to join the class earlier, thinking classes of this nature were closed strictly to Padawans only, now seeing a couple other Knights to his side begged his broken ego to bury the memory and hope no one finds out.

His dried fingertips scratched at his chest through shredded strands of milky white cloth strung over his paled skin. Long sleeves dangled a little loose as he still worked to rebuild the firm muscle structure he once held, his collar bone sunken in strange shadows. Barefoot, his toes comfortably clutched the cold steel like it was his kitchen tiling; having spent some time now finishing up his recovery pacing these floors, black skin tight under-suit leggings down to his ankles. And he cracked his neck side to side, messy bun sliding from ear to ear.

As he indirectly listened, his brow twitched to the mention of Lightning; a sharp moment flashing before his eyes just then. Then his eyes lowered to his toes, thinking of Andreas.

Cappi watched Zabic's instruction from the corner of his down-turned gaze, considering Zabic's curves quietly to himself. Not bad, he thought. A strange tangent even in his own eyes. So he squinted to refocus himself, much more disciplined than in his youth. He had to be here, to rebuild his confidence and get out of his room; so says the entire medical staff and all one and a half of his friends. Practicing alone with the lights off isn't healthy, so they say. He sighed through his nose restlessly and prepared to engage himself.

So he stretched out his left hand, then lowered it to signal begin. Why his left hand, he could only guess it had something to do with the head trauma. He'd take this slow. He felt the remote produce the electrical pulse and anticipated its incoming, dispelled its shock with a soft plume of palm warmth and recalled its intake with a friendly pinch that brought a subtle curl of the lip, smiling to himself and the sensation as he remembered Piper's little power cells. He opted to dissipate the energy first, fusing it into his body and feeding it back into the atmosphere and the floor like he often did. It still wasn't easy to do, or quick.

Then one of the other Knight's comments caught Cappi's attention, and he chuckled under his breath and wiped his nose with a wet sniff. It did him credit to lighten the mood.

"Beautiful form," Cappi casually quipped flashing an 'okay' hand sign in Khivas' direction, friendly like. An instant bro moment shared in a bond of gentle sarcasm. While less outspoken and flamboyant, Cappi hadn't lost his dry wit.

He eventually reached his right hand out this time, purposefully trying to regain normalcy, and waved the remote continue as he returned his focus forward. His eyes delicately closed this time, catching the pulse into palm like before but with more confidence; hesitating a moment in struggle, frowning, then rejecting its energy back with a concentrated darting bolt back to the wall as instructed.

Gavin wasn't even sure why he was being made to attend this class. He should be training with the lightsaber, that is where his talents were. So far his attempts to use the Force had been rather lackluster. He had struggled with learning how to meditate like the other Padawans. He never seemed to find that peace that everyone was so fond of talking about. The only time he felt like he belonged here was when he was holding a lightsaber, but now he was here. He had sat off to the side hoping to get by without being noticed too much.

He had heard about the Knight teaching this class. He had heard that she had spent much life so far with the Sith and had only just come to the Jedi recently, and now she was teaching students. Was she involved in the attack that had killed his parents on Anoth? He avoided eye contact with the women each time she looked over at his side of the class.

Those thoughts ran through the back of his head as he listened to her instructions. He could block lightning with his lightsaber if need be. Why had they made him come to this class!?

One of the remotes moved from the corner of the room and rested in front of him. Gavin stood nervously, not really knowing what to do. She had explained it to them, somewhat, but he didn't know what Force Sight was so all he could do was watch as best he could.

He held up his hand as the first shock came out. He felt the pain immediately shoot up his arm into his body. It was all he could not to yell out. It faded just about the time the second shock came again, he held out his hand and willed the Force absorb the shock, but nothing but the shooting pain again. This repeated several times before he reluctantly held his hand over his head for the remainder of the exercise.

It was humiliating to say the least. It appeared the other Jedi in the room were doing much better than him. He was agitated at having to be here, and angry at himself for being utterly useless.

Why had they made him come to this class?!

Khelsea walked into the Galactic Evolution's training room. It had been a while since shes had taken a class in Tutaminis, and while she was fairly confident in her ability to perform, she still wanted to hear what Zabić had to say. Zabić brought a different perspective that the knight who had previously trained Khelsea while she was still a padawan, and perhaps she would be able to pick up something new today. At the very least, she would be able to refresh her memory of Tutaminis if nothing else happened today. She also happened to see Cappi and Khivas as she entered the training room, and it was always nice to see familiar faces.

Following the ex-Sith's instructions, Khelsea began by lowering her hand to signal to the training remote that she was ready. This was something she had practiced before, so it was natural for her to absorb the energy and let it dissipate. After a minute of doing so with her eyes closed and completely focused on the Force, Khelsea signaled for the droid to stop. It was time to try something new, and learn to deflect the energy bolt instead of just dissolving it. Unsurprisingly, there was so much more that she had to learn and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Ready to start again, Khelsea tried a few times, varying her form and attempting to deflect the bolt but most of the time it dissipated like her previous warm-up attempts. Her best result was having the bolt bounce off her hand feebly, moving with much less velocity than before. Stopping the remote, Khelsea revisited Zabić's words in her head, playing them over and over until something clicked. The next time she started the remote, Khelsea used Force Sight to track the energy bolt before it was even shot out. She watched it through the Force as it materialized, and it was in such detail that it felt like the energy bolt was moving in slow motion. Khelsea could see the tiny ripples of its energy move and shimmer as it traveled towards her hand, and putting her hand out, she watched how it dissipated. The second bolt, she manipulated the energy as it reached her hand, craddling it and letting it form until it was at the point just before it would dissipate. Just as Zabić had instructed, Khelsea pushed a wave out to send it shooting off in a different direction. It took several attempts to get the bolt to deflect where she wanted to go, and if she wasn't so focused on the next energy bolt, Khelsea would've noticed that one of her deflected bolts had rocketed off in the direction where Cappi was practicing. ( @Lamper )

She continued to practice; honing her skills until either Zabić stopped her to give her tips, or stopped the entire class to continue the lesson.

Maya hadn't had much time at here to make friends or even to get to know the others in the order. Now the other side of this would had she let anyone get close to her with her foolish behavior that answer itself. It didn't matter now she was in this class to learn that what she would do. Now wasn't a matter trying it was more personally to her it was a calling. Even as she listen to Knight Zabic in what instructed.

Letting the others take the lead to this she like to watch at first as knowing a few had more advance in the force training them she did. Trying as she did not to speak out something she really was working on. Finding that there was more and more that she had to learn to becoming a good jedi. Knowing that just maybe she wasn't such a good person after all. Moral she had those more so then most knew lending her to come seeking out her mother kind.

Wishing more then anythings he was here with her right now doing her training she was so kind hearten and so easy to talk to these seem to have other things on their mind training. Yes she was there for that but also want something more that she hadn't had since living her jungle tribe behind the mother elders. Wanted to have those she could talk to. Having a lot of question that was for sure but more then that she wanted to grow as a jedi. Be the guild of light that ray of hope where there was none, that her mother spoke of her becoming someday. If she could see that way couldn't she stop her own death.

Back to the task at hand, even now she couldn't help but look at the others with a small chuckle then back to the task. Closing her eyes knowing that she would have to reach deep inside of her to the cage to let her other side out to play. The warrior had to be the one being trained today not the soft kind hearten one she care for all natural in the galaxy of people. Her own glowing light force change as there was more of grey swirl around her now as if she was ready to learn the task set before hand.

Slow raising her hand for the the object to come to life even so she couldn't help but grin. There it was now staring at her one more move to the as she felt something more as she felt the sting. Even then she couldn't help but want to do more as she knew what next she had to do. Pushing from her hand something more around her hand as pushed outward something more even so she got stung more then a few time before she felt something more. Even so she knew that she had to force more each time.

Immediately after they began, an important question reached her ears to which she heard another Knight whom she had met just yesterday, remark. She is glad the Knights are present. These are the comrades she will stand alongside someday. Cappi sure did seem to have the spirit of the famous ancient warriors, because he looked like he recently spat in protest at Death's very eye. She wonders if Jedi are as honored by their scars as are the Sith.

"Great start..." Zabić tapped into the other Jedi Knight ever so lightly just to get his name, as she did with the others present as well. "Khivas! You must have had the preliminaries down already. When you are comfortable with that maneuver, focus to catch the energy directly into your palm. On the battlefield you likely won't have any prep time to respond to a blaster bolt. Ducking away under a Barrier would be a great first reflex, which we don't often get the luxury of achieving before we get hit. But your second choice should be deflection with your arms. Most of the time we are wielding a lightsaber anyhow. Chances are, at some point during an ongoing Lightning attack, you’re going to lose your hold on your lightsaber. So you need to learn to accept this energy through your hands. I cannot think anywhere else anyone would want to be caught with one of these.” Zabić's goal is to have the entire class able to put up a momentary resistance for a brief Lightning attack.

Zabić heard of Khelsea through Kai. ”Nice Khelsea.” But when Khelsea's orb headed straight for Cappi, Zabić cringed. She didn't have enough time to respond to redirect it. ”Need a little work on your pitch,” she observed with a smile. Out of all the room they have to practice, the vacant area being the greatest by percentage, students are still likely to hit one another. Zabić found this amazing. ”If this were a fight, you’d have it down!”

She watched Maya make her attempt at the skill. She thought the Padawan might be over thinking it and perhaps tripping herself up. “Maya, good start! For now, push back against the approaching blast, to phase out the concentration of the bolt of energy as it nears you. Its still going to reach you.”

Looking over everyone as she walked in front of them, she encouraged, ”Keep at it everyone!”

Then there is Gavin. He looks like he has no idea what he’s doing. Well, guess what that gets him, the most attention from his teacher! That’s right! Zabić walked herself right over and helped! Standing in front of him, she looked at him intently, as she reached out to get a reading on him. “Hmm.” She raised a brow in scrutiny. “You need Force Sight first? You won’t get very far in anything, if you don't speak up for yourself.”

Zabić instructed, ”Face the class, and close your eyes.” She planned to show the Padawan how to view his surroundings through Force Sight.

"Heh, thanks. Name's Khivas by the way." Khivas said to the young man, his body and face resembling a man who had been bought to death's door but declined to go in, leading instead with one hell of a knock knock joke. In that line of thought, that made this guy Khivas' kind of man.

Among the class was mostly new faces, but it was nice to see Khelsea Vong present among them, the young Knight joining Khivas on a mission back when he was a Padawan, teaching him to better utilize his Force Sense. Now they were students together, or sort of at least. Khelsea had clearly performed this technique before and to a successful degree, as she clearly displayed skill with the technique as she redirected the remote's bolt towards the Death-defeating man, shocking him slightly. "Ouch." Khivas said quietly to himself as he watched the display.

Seconds after the event, Zabic came up from behind Khivas and tapped into his aura as to ascertain his name, something he did not mind, but definitely would take steps to put up some blocks just to be safe. Still though, the praise was appreciated, as well as the advice Zabic gave to him, prompting Khivas to try again, this time watching the bolt of energy fly towards him in what seemed like slow motion, the energy ripping the air apart as it clashed with his swirling barrier of energy.

Khivas then took the energy and instead of dissipating it, let it swirl around in a circular fashion, picking up speed and power before letting it go, sending the bolt right back at the remote, shocking it and causing it to fail momentarily and lose height before it corrected itself and came back up into the air.

"AH HA, YES!" Khivas exclaimed, glad to finally get this gods damned technique down. "Alright, alright, alright, now to practice a little." He said, aiming to repeat the process.

"Cappi," he aptly answered right back to Khivas with a cool half-smile. Sometimes guys just gelled. Naturally. And he could tell they'd get along.

Eyes closed now, in serene waters, a sudden alarm went off in his thoughts; and he cringed. Then the stray bolt whipped into the side of his skull, the one place it was most unwelcome. And it hurt.

"AH-yee..." he whined weirdly.

Tensed up, eyes squeezing shut and watering, he gently touched his forehead with both hands; bending over a bit. It didn't hurt that much. The pulse was on such a low setting. If it had hit anywhere else, he would've laughed off the sting. But his head. Why is it always the tender spot that gets hit? He opened his eyes to see where it had come from. And after he'd vocalized his pain, favoring the side that brandished the large scar, he'd no doubt called the others' attention for a moment. Sad expression begging not an apology so much as reprieve, his eyes caught the familiar Khelsea's; someone he'd not seen in a while. Not since she'd trained him as a snarky padawan.

"Khelsea? Ugh. Good to see you too..." He smiled pitifully, suddenly showing heavier bags under his eyes. Then he added a whisper of a side note. "Why the head? Ugh."

He had to recoup for a bit, just standing amongst the others holding his head. He could afford to skip a round. Almost waving off the remote so to say don't shoot, he realized that would actually tell it to shoot; so he just held his head some more and quietly giggled to himself darkly.

Listening to her training for this class she took in what she could. Only to find herself letting out a long drawl out sigh. Just what had this Zeltron so much of letting go of something so much like this. Everything was changing in her life, for the best one would hope so. Even then she couldn't help but think of her father how much at odds they where when she left him to come back to her mother Jedi roots. Even then she couldn't help but feel the stings coming to her hand as if she forgotten totally that she had her hand up.

Well, that going to need paste. This was more to herself own though then speaking to anyone else or not knowing if anyone was listen. It still didn't escape her that there was other way more advance then she could every dream of being in this skill. Even in that spit second it took her to think about the on going. Came something else another few of the little singers.

Focus Maya its time for learning not .. That what she did for the next few minutes or was it long who knew as she wasn't keep track any more. Trying to do as Zabic said to do thinking more deeply of what she felt around her she could feel emotion more so then most or was it because she just learn to use this part of her the most to stay alive all these years even in the jungle then be on. It still didn't mean anything at all, more so as she did as saw the energy not because she could see it was her naked eyes but something be on that.

Finding the sting to be getting less. Even so she had a long way if she could even learn this sort of thing or was this be on what she could one way to find out wasn't it after all she need to do this, if only to prove she had what it take to learn.

Gavin paled somewhat as the instructor moved in front of him. She hadn't said a word, but merely looked at him, no, looked through him. "Why?" he blurted out before thinking better of it. "I saw you just fine with my own eyes." he said to the teacher. It wasn't very loud, but it was possible some of the other students had heard him. Luckily, they seemed caught up in their own conversations or practicing to notice him.

When she asked him to come to front of the class he felt the embarrassment push him into anger. No one had told him he need this Force Sight. He was just told he had to come, and now she was dragging him in front of the whole class. He glared at her, but after an exchange of cold stares, Gavin did what he was told to.

"Alright, I am in front of the WHOLE class!" he said loud enough for everyone to hear him this time. He sighed. He tried to remember what his other teachers had taught him about controlling his anger. He couldn't help it. She wanted to "show" them this Sith Lightning. He had seen it used on Anoth. He saw children fried as they tried to flee the world when the Sith attack, and now this Sith wanted them to see it again. It was all he could manage not to flee the class. He held his hands clenched to the point of his knuckles turning white as he waited for his "instruction"

This Padawan, whoever he was, sure had one hell of a temper on him, and a bit of a mouth too. "Nice attitude..." Khivas thought to himself as he proceeded with his lesson to himself, channeling the extra energy from the Remote's blast into his own body. "I guess that part's easier than I thought, hm." He said, shifting his attention from his own practice to that of the Angry Padawan, noting that extremely menacing air radiating off of him, the anger pouring off into the air as if a poison dripping into an open wound. "Jeez, kid..." He thought to himself as Khivas decided to head up the front of the class as well, hoping to talk to the young man and ease his mind.

Once next to him, Khivas could see the problem of control he was having, his focus waning in the presence of the instructor as he struggled to learn supposedly basic (Khivas still called bullshit on this being considered basic) Force Skills. "You know," he started, placing his hand on the Padawan's shoulder, trying to calm him and subtract the attention away from the teacher and more towards the actual lesson at hand. "I used to be a hell of a lot like you. 'I'm so damn good with a lightsaber, why the hell do I need to learn to use Force Powers better?', and then I fought in a very big battle recently and got my ass handed to me by somebody who was really, really good with Force powers. Taught me my lesson pretty damn quick and reminded me of my place at the time. Think of this as preventing that painful, and possibly fatal, lesson in advance, especially with so many Sith and Stormstroopers shooting lightning and using repeaters like it's cool or something."

"Now if you're a bit more calm now, take another deep breath and relax. The key to using any Force power isn't to force it, mind the poor pun, but to let it simply happen through you, ya dig?"

Khivas had certainly kicked it up a notch! Zabić smiled his way. It was always good to see someone succeed, especially because she helped them make the connection in some small way. She wondered what happened with her own Sith Apprentice. She abandoned Vandheer's self-centered arse among the Sith. She knew, if he found her here, all hell would surely break loose between them. 'Maybe not,' she thought, for even she used to be a diehard enthusiast herself, and look at her now!

Cappi was lucky he didn't pass out when the bolt hit him in the skull. She has no idea how he is still standing. She thought him certainly tougher than he looks!

Maya was coming along just fine for a Padawan. A little more focus and she would be awesome. Zabić knew Jedi Padawans need to work on getting this under their belt, because she never met a single Sith Acolyte who didn't beg to learn lightning!

Then Gavin...happened. Zabić brows rose in unison, wondering about him in general. The reasons behind why he is acting as he is, radiates off of him like dry ice. She knew firsthand, that had he been an Acolyte showing this malcontent, his instructor would wear his arse out and then really work him into the ground. If he couldn't keep up, he'd just receive his lesson as one long thrashing. It is acceptable among the Sith that the disrespectful be killed. Zabić is no longer among the Sith, she knew she must gain this boy's attention, or she would lose him.

Khivas stepped in and tried to console him. Zabić was grateful, yet hopes the boy will give her a chance, to see what she can offer him. It felt disheartening he would reject her without her being directly guilty of what was troubling him. Her guilt was her past allegiance, and since, her desire has altered from craving power, to craving the most intimate of life's many experiences.

She waved a hand at the class to gain their attention before she spoke. She hoped something she might offer could benefit everyone present. "Gavin, Sith or Jedi, you start out as a product of your environment. You are with the Jedi, I suppose, because you were born on this side of the Galactic Core. However you are no Jedi yet, not without alot of work. I was a Sith because I was born over there. I had to learn to use the Force or be killed at my own Masters' whim. Your first exposure to the Darkside of the Force was recently on the Battlefield. You no longer need to feel overwhelmed. I can show you things and prepare you so you do not become mesmerized by their aggression and falter."

Zabić extended a hand out before the class, and a deep blue flame rise from her palm. It did not flicker or make any motion, but extended entirely still. It took alot of concentration from her. "I assure you, this is a reflection of my alignment, my Force Presence." It took an epiphany for her to learn it too; she owed it entirely to one amazing individual. "I intend no malice towards you. But you do not need to defend against this. This Light energy is your defense against its complete opposite, chaos. Sith Lightning is raw chaos. You want to diffuse it, order it. It only appears difficult. I am here to show you what you need to learn." Her expression was one of nurturing, sincerity, and deep concern.

Not once did the brilliant blue flame flicker still. "You need to be able to see this in the Force for what it is. Force Sight will allow you to identify your enemy from afar, before you can even feel his presence near. You can all do this with me," Zabić stated to the class. "Close your eyes and feel the Force in you and around you, in me, this room. Reject the image your eyes give you," she said to Gavin. "When you sense the Force coming into form behind you eyes, you can open them and see your surroundings transformed to view it, how it connects us all." They would see her presence as most calm, with an even pulse that erupted as a wave every now and again. Kai Sera told her she would learn to adapt, but possibly always remain unique.

Zabić took steps away from the others, and she mentally prepared for what she would show them next. She would need to face the most emotionally painful event of her lifetime, and allow it to surface. Knowing what she knows now, she hated having to do it. It wouldn't be anything she would be found doing without good reason. She learned after long hard study with the assistance of the Jedi Masters, that she can bounce back from it. It won't be pretty once she unveils it, but it is necessary that they see the Darkside is nothing bigger than they can handle.

Ending up with his hands on his knees and his head hanging between his shoulders, Cappi found it difficult to focus on anything other than his throbbing skull for the time being; thusly ignoring the new scene that unraveled at the head of the class. Instead his energies swarmed about his brow like a pair of pixies flinging delusional healing powder. However far fetched the imagery in his dazed dreary, the results were the same; applying a Force technique the healers taught him to utilize every time his wound's pain returned. Though it had been a bit since he last had to utilize this practice. Welcome back to the dangers of living.

When Zabic' called the class's attention, Cappi looked up. And in that instant he felt a thousand times better, if a bit light-headed. He flexed his eyes wide open, tasting a bit of blood on his lips; licking it and realizing it'd dripped from his nose. He sniffed at it and wiped it away with a finger, eyes checking side to side to make sure no one saw and overreacted. He never liked being seen as needing help. But most of all, he wanted everyone to know he had recovered past his injuries. Anything to the contrary he would hide now, after all this time. Anything to give doubt was not welcome in his mind. He forced a smile, despite the lack of attention to tie the impression of a perfectly healthy man.

Her first point got him thinking. Maybe his instincts were too quick to play devil's advocate, but at first he disagreed remembering those who pulled him out of his environment's inevitability. But then he realized that those people were his environment, and they had made him. Not so much laying blame on a place as certain people within that place.

Either way it kind of stung to hear. The way she said it certainly made her sound harsh, like the way a Sith would frame life. And he still struggled with his own demons and the way he looked at Sith, making it hard for him to view Zabic' differently. But he tried.

Next came the blue flame, which mesmerized Cappi in his curled over state.

He trusted her intent as she explained herself. She was trying hard, harder than some realized. He knew exactly what there was to despise about her. The Sith. He had looked down that road and said no. But she was clearly trying to overcome that palisade. She wanted to give, to help. And he respected that. He wanted to give back to her in kind. And the best way he could imagine was to comply with her instruction, treat her as a proper teacher and respect her insight.

So he closed his eyes. Instead of forcing it as he might in his haste, he awaited the Force's response to his patience. And there it showed itself to him in the darkness, glowing from dim beginnings into brighter warmth. And then he let the heat in his head flood to his eyes, celestial power illuminating the curves of shadow with a plume of blue cloud through black waters. Until it no longer felt warm and curiosity out-shined fever, even in knowing this miracle called Force Sight, and he opened his eyes.

And there it was. There she was, with her unique presence and color. Everyone around him and theirs. His.

Eyes glowing, he saw the world around him once more through the Force; truthful auras at the heart of every thing and everyone here. This way, he felt a greater connection to the ethereal and saw the very flow of the Force itself.

Now not only was he being lectured by her, but now others in the class. Did these Knights just think they were entitled to his respect?! He refused to look at the him. He was in the class just as he was.

As she spoke, words flooded his head. She was a Sith because she chose to be. His parents weren't Jedi, but that didn't stop them from being slaughtered like them. The fact she had been given the task by the Jedi Council to teach anyone was ridiculous. He opened his mouth to snap back a reply, but stopped himself. His anger had already taken control of him. He was constantly being lectured about his anger. It was hard to stop the feelings when he felt so justified for having them. He drew in a breath.

"I will try." he mumbled quietly. He closed his eyes. Nothing happened. He took in several deep breaths. With each exhale he was able to let go of the emotions that had taken a hold of him. After a moment, his mind felt more like still pond that it usual stormy sea. That is when he felt it. It was small at first, or maybe far away. He wasn't sure. Inhale...Exhale. It drew nearer with each breath. Inhale...Exhale. Then it was upon him. Well, not upon him as much as a part of him.

He slowly opened his eyes. Lines of energy of varying intensities and speeds connected the people in the room. This energy connected those in the room. It flowed through anything living in the room. It pulsed as if the Force itself breathed. After a few seconds his breath matched the pulsing. Inhale...Exhale.

Joshu had been training in silence, he knew what he was doing but it seemed as if he had to relearn everything he had ever been taught. Like learning how to walk again. It was all the same, yet different. He watched as the class went about the exercise, some excelling better than others, some growing frustrated at the lack of progress. Joshu had his hands raised in front of him as he was looking around, his concentration divided between the task and the people scattered around the hall. The task was of no real difficulty until his attention was snatched by the teacher, who had grabbed another padawan to assist him with the exercise.

The teacher of the class, Zabić, as it transpired, was a former Sith herself. This came as a shock to Joshu, he knew that a number of Sith often defected but they were usually easily identified. This woman carried herself with a grace uncommon amongst the crusaders, she spoke with a calm that Joshu had never felt, her words touching everyone in the room. She spoke of how the force binds and connects everyone and of how she truly wanted to help the people in her class, she wanted to make amends, at least that's how it sounded to Joshu. He was astounded that someone like him had found them self in such a position within the order. It demonstrated the Jedi are truly forgiving, and that there was hope for him yet. Due to his attention being taken away from the exercise he soon found himself being shocked by the drone.

His whole body tightened but Joshu did not move, he let out a slight grunt and remained steadfast. He was shocked again, his eyes closed and he embraced the pain. Despite his best efforts the Sith teachings never truly left him "Pain makes you stronger" he thought to himself. His eyes opened and he shook the thoughts from his mind "Leave the chaos behind" he whispered to himself. He slowed his breathing, loosened his body and prepared for the next strike. The lightning fired at him and he caught it, not through force of will, not through anger but through the calm and peace of mind the Jedi instilled on their students. It was a small step but for Joshu it felt like a huge leap. He continued the exercise all the while thinking of the tutor. Somebody who was once in his situation now possessed the respect of the Jedi and he needed to know how, he needed to know how to redeem himself to the level of the woman he saw before him.

The way in which Jedi taught one another, with compassion, was so intriguing to Zabić. The Sith fought for their position among the ranks, never revealing the totality of their developed techniques. Jedi were more than eager to help lift up one another. Her thoughts drifted momentarily to the Grandmaster, and how his presence filled the vessel. Lord Weiss was a mystery, remaining nearly undetectable, but that mattered little to the seriousness of his extreme volatility. Zabić often touched upon the presences onboard, with hopes that she might someday emulate their refinement.

Gavin mellowed. Zabić softly smiled, amazed at his transformation. "Now that is the Jedi I know." She wondered if he had ever seen a Sith smile before, and doubted he ever had. Zabić did appear just like every other happy woman onboard today, wherein her recent past the evil she used to channel was seen currently ignited within her flashing yellow eyes.

She channeled just that as she remembered all too well. And summoning the Darkness she used to unleash from within, she stirred the Force into chaos. Witnessed through Force Sight, it has no pattern whatsoever. The Force as Zabić stirred it, chopped up what once was peace, and destroyed it. Zabić generated Sith Lightning. A violently chaotic swarming mass of deep red electricity. Her very presence while doing so distinctly disturbed the customary peace of the room onboard the Jedi Destroyer. Most Jedi would feel emotional despair, and physically nauseous in fact.

“Do you think you can order this mess?" she asked no one in particular, confident that now she holds the attention of the entire class. "Or do you believe it impossible? When you are hit with it, you need to fight harder to focus, in order to successfully respond. You have to rework it in order to use it to your benefit. Don’t allow the mental tactics of the Sith to sway your resolve. Remain calm.”

When the extreme sensation of hopelessness nearly won over her new sense of endurance, Zabić concentrated on the Light, inspired by her recent memory of Kai and how they bonded while on Ognisty; she memorized him and often imagined the potential of their future together. Zabić focussed in intently on the swarming light-show in her palm. Her eyes began to return to their normal hue of green. After a few seconds of focus she snapped her fingers as the wave she generated, sent one extreme of the Force out onto the other. The pattern of the Force as it flowed over her palm began to shift, flow and pulse, aligning in unison once again. The force generated in her hand had gone from an entirely erratic turbulent flowing red construct to a singular blue light. She restored peace in herself and the Force itself which surrounded her within the room.

Her voice quavered, her experience always horrid, as she relived age old nightmares within her thoughts. Knowing inner peace today and its value, she found her old methods quite unsettling each time she stirred the Force as she had while a Sith. "As you can see...when desired by one willing enough to seek, redemption is not an impossibility." The longer she concentrated on peace, the more the blue flame settled until it became perfectly still. She jerked her hand around before her, but the flame followed, stilled.

“Do not permit coming face to face with the Sith to overwhelm you. Chaos disturbs peace, and peace settles chaos. This is what I intended to share with you today. Tutaminis is the core skill from which you can build up to master such a feat. If anyone wishes to study this further, I am available to assist.”

The familiar yellow glint shone through the tutor's eyes, it would appear that she too had not completely shed herself of the ways of the Sith quite yet. Joshu raised his hand without looking at the exercise so as to stop it and pay attention to Zabić once more. "Don’t allow the mental tactics of the Sith to sway your resolve." She said whilst conjuring the lightning from her fingertips. Members of the class began to look nauseous, uneasy but Joshu was all too accustomed to this feeling, he let it wash over him like a wave, though he took care not to lose himself. The lightning was erratic cracking out and almost reaching some of the students in the hall before Zabić demonstrated the power the light side how over the dark. Her eyes returned to a natural colour and the lightning soon died down into a calm ball of light, an impressive feat though one that took it's toll. The tutor looks weary, concerned even but she made sure not to betray too much. She then continued the lecture "redemption is not an impossibility." Those words resonated with Joshu and they convinced him to strike up a conversation with the Zabić. Perhaps somebody who had been in his shoes would make a good mentor, a master for this padawan.

He still wasn't sure he understood any of this, and he certainly couldn't block lightning with his mind. He watched as the Jedi Knight demonstrated her control of her more dark sided abilities. It unnerved Gavin to say the least, but he had seen

"How is lightning chaos?" he spoke up without waiting to be called on. "I thought there were Jedi who used this ability. How can energy be inherently good or bad?" he quickly asked. He was calmer than before, but his anger had been replaced with the somewhat innocent arrogance of a young adult who questions authority just because. The fact that, at least subconsciously, he did not want to return back getting cooked by the remote droid again.

He hadn't learned much of the Force in his time with the Jedi, that much was apparent to rest of the class, but he knew he read of Jedi using the ability to harness lightning somewhere. He couldn't believe no one else had brought it up.

He looked around and made eye contact with with an older Padawan in the room. He seemed almost entranced by the Jedi Knight teaching the class. He brushed him off as he looked back towards the Jedi Knight for his answers.

Zabić was glad that Gavin finally became engaged in the class. In her old element, he would never have opened his mouth! His lack of understanding surprised her though. She was never an avid reader herself during her youth, and clearly neither is he.

"Damn boy!" she blurted quite uncharacteristically, her eyes wide with wonder. "Force Sight should have made that apparent." 'If he cannot even do that, what is his ability?' she wondered, guessing that his strengths must lie in some very rare skillset! "Didn't you feel it in your gut?" If she had to draw how she saw the path taken by the Darkside energy, it would look like a heavy handed scribble stretching across the room and blackening out her surroundings completely.

Although Gavin seemed very lacking in basic experience, she isn't the type to simply instruct him to read up on the matter to catch up either! Zabić wanted to help him to understand and catch him up. "In this particular instance, the Force in itself is not chaotic, it is how it's set into motion. However, the Force can be so tainted with the Darkside on Sith worlds that it is constantly in rapid random motion, not the stable flow we have on this very ship. The disorder of the Darkside disrupts order, as does the order of the Lightside calm the Dark. Lightning isn't bad, its the flow of the Force instituted by the user that is. Regardless of what skill we are generating, how we move the Force will either be destructive and unnatural, or its going to be beneficial to, or in harmony with, our surroundings."
