TUSKEN ROBES

Not considered to be 'armour' in the conventional sense, Tusken 'robes' are the common garb worn by the Tusken Raiders of the desert world of Tatooine. Fashioned from spun cloth, Bantha and Dewback hide, the garments are designed to protect the wearer from the harsh climate of Tatooine and to provide rudimentary protection in combat. Consisting of a cloth outer-robe with weathered leather bands protecting the torso, arms and legs, and a fully covered face mask, the armour cuts a memorable and striking image that is rightly feared across Tatooine.

The eyes of the occupant are covered with goggles, which shelter them from the beating light of the dual suns, with a filter across the mouth to help to breathe in the desert. A moisture trap is located on the neck, serving to humidify the air breathed in by its wearer.

Many Tuskens incorporate additional decorations, such as Tusks and more. Whilst these provided absolutely no additional benefits at all, many Tusken believes that adorning their clothes with trophies brings them luck. A nomadic people, the Tusken wore utility belts, containing survival and hunting gear, as they were almost constantly on the move.

Whilst this gear is technically legal, you are highly unlikely to get a warm reception if found wearing it, due to the reception given to Tuskens across Tatooine.
