With the three Gangan cavalrymen neutralized eariler. Pierceson then heard the whooping cry of raiders coming from behind, Pierceson looked that direction, seeing a wave of Gungan Calvary charging his way. Pierceson then turned his particle blaster rifle toward them and then started firing fast-paceed shots at them, aiming specifically for the beasts themselves first.
Surrounding troopers took notice and then fired toward that same direction. A few of the riders went down. The remaining ones left were able to get into range to launch spears. With how slow they are compared to blasters, were able to be avoided by quick dodging. With that, the rest of the Kaadu went down before they could leap at the RNSF troopers. With their mounts down and their riders taking nasty falls to the ground, they would be out of the battle for now without actually killing them.
Pierceson then began to see the shield surrounding Hopewell begin to flicker. Is it getting weaker from some of Helia's starfighters testing it? He wasn't able to see the Gungan's large grenade be the cause of that. The battle for Hopewell still rages on. Pierceson then eyes Sukie's speeder. He, along with the other royal troopers, then start heading that direction, getting away from the scorched trees from where they came from. "Heading in on your position Sukie" the Hapan communicated this to her, as they head to support Sukie who has been having to deal with Gungans as well.
Even with the shield around Hopewell flickering, the Alliance still won't be able to attack the Jafan ground units, and even if they were they would be focusing on the Gungans who are trying to go through their gates. The King's Own seem to be doing good enough job keeping the Alliance starfighters from picking on ground units as well, or so it seemed, until a Alliance Starfighter came out and started firing it's laser canons into a group of RNSF troopers. They tried to scatter and get to the ground. With some quick reflexes, a couple were able to escape the line of fire in time, but the weren't and thus they were killed by the starfighter-grade laser cannons just like that. Pierceson saw this, he knows the King's One is doing their best to keep the Alliance starfighters off of them, but there is only so much they can do, and not a whole lot ground forces can do about those.
