Jedi Order Tupe Yashu

Tupe Yashu was a male Cosian Jedi during the 'Force Eternal' period of galactic history. A Jedi Seer, he has lived a relatively isolationist life for much of his adulthood. Born to two farmers on his homeworld, Tupe joined the Jedi Order as a child, becoming Padawan to the Wookiee Jedi, Krranykyyyk, before becoming a Knight himself shortly after his eighteenth birthday.

A strict adherent to the tenants of the Jedi Code, Tupe dedicated his adult life to the way of the Seers, focusing on understanding the force, and all of the abilities it can lead to. Through this, he became a teacher at Brighthome, the mobile temple of the Order. During his later adulthood, Tupe left the temple to pursue a period of 'silent contemplation', heading to Kashyyyk, where he lived remotely and in isolation for nearly two decades.

After leaving isolation, he lived with a tribe of Wookiee for several years and managed to get several of their force-sensitive young to join the Order, despite requests for a Jedi Temple on the world, at that time, being denied.

However, all was not well with the galaxy at this time, and when word reached his ears that a war was brewing between the Sith and the New Republic, Tupe left Kashyyyk to return to the Order, where he hoped he could be of some form of help.

Personality & Skills

A wise Jedi, Tupe has spent just shy of a century training generation after generation of Padawan learners. Physically, he appears elderly and frail, something which had led him to follow the teachings of some of the traditional Jedi, that people were 'made of pure light' and not simply the 'crude matter' of their own bodies. A kind and caring man, he tried to see the best in everyone and was reluctant to engage in hostilities when he believed it could be avoided.

Feeling a strong connection with the natural world, he had an affinity for animals and plants, and came across as something of a doddery old man, wandering around the temple of Brighthome, randomly repotting plants and warning Padawans away from critters.

Despite his many oddities, Tupe was an exceedingly sharp and capable man, possessed of great intelligence, which allowed him to command Jedi teachings and ways, philosophies and more. Seeing the use of the lightsaber as integral to the personal discipline aspect of the Jedi teachings, he practised with it frequently, and - although he rarely made use of his blade in public - was quite capable with it.

Calm to the extreme, he rarely rose to high emotion, and often slipped into a meditative state in stressful situations. He could speak and understand multiple languages, as well as fly his own ship.
